Hi. My mom is high B.P patient. But suddenly one day she fainted. And when checked, her b.p was low. It is first time this happened. After dat we checked her b.p regularly. It kept on fluctuating alternative days. What can be the reason behind this?

Hi. My mom is high B.P patient. But suddenly one day she fainted. And when checked, her b.p was low. It is first time...
Improper diet & long gaps between meals, less water intake, irregular intake of medication can be the reasons. Make sure she has small frequent meals (2-3 hrs interval), take medicine daily & has 3 litres water daily. Cut down on salt intake, she can have dab water daily & 2-3 whole fruits, plenty of vegetables.

Hi, having tenderness in the breasts before and during the periods is common and happens to many females. It happens due to sudden hormonal changes in the body and many a times doesnt even need any treatment. These symptoms tend to decrease after delivering a baby.

Reasons Why One Must Consider Getting Laser Surgery Done

MBBS, MD - Dermatology
Dermatologist, Delhi
Reasons Why One Must Consider Getting Laser Surgery Done

The word surgery has always been associated with the use of scalpel. However, a new form of surgery called laser surgery has developed, which instead of using the orthodox method uses laser to cure the infirmity. In this form of surgery, laser tuned to specific wavelengths, is emitted on the concerned area with the purpose of vaporizing the tissues that have high water content for the purpose of rectification. It is commonly used in:

  1. Dermatology and plastic surgery
  2. Eye Surgery
  3. Endovascular surgery
  4. Foot and ankle surgery
  5. Oral and Dental Surgery

Though the technique involves risks, it has over the years gained immense popularity due to multiple reasons. Few among them are:

  1. Provides immediate results: This is one of the main reasons why laser surgery is preferred to conventional methods. Commonly used in the eye, laser surgeries result in significant improvement in vision, allowing the concerned person to do away with the dependence on spectacles.
  2. Precision involved: Using the laser instead of the scalpel allows the method to be more precise and effective than the traditional method. Minimum damage is done to the tissue as there are smaller cuts involved.
  3. Less time: Due to the technique used, the time involved in laser surgeries is reasonably less, providing more time for recuperation than what is generally allowed in the traditional methods.
  4. Provides more career options and opportunities: Laser surgery, owing to its technique, offers corrective measures which the traditional method does not. This aspect of the surgery allows the patients to consider and explore other professions which were previously not possible. Professions like air force and the army have stringent rules regarding vision of the candidates. Laser surgery which provides an individual the freedom to operate without glasses and contact lenses also allows him or her to consider such professions.

Dietitian/Nutritionist,
10 Foods That Can Jumpstart Your Metabolism

Foods that elevate your metabolism is a good method of losing fat from the body. Include these foods in your breakfast, lunch and dinner to harness their fat burning power. Try these foods to kick start your metabolism:

  1. Eggs: Eggs are considered to be super foods as they are packed with nutrients. Rich in protein and vitamin D, eggs also help boost your metabolism.
  2. Lean meat: Include lean meats, such as chicken and turkey to your diet as they are rich sources of protein. They are also good sources of iron, the deficiency of which may lead to sluggish metabolism.
  3. Chili peppers: Chili peppers are good sources of 'capsaicin', a component that is known to kick start your metabolism into high gear. You may add chili peppers to your dishes to add some pungent flavor as well.
  4. Water: Dehydration may lead to you to feel sluggish the entire day; thus it is necessary to drink cold water as the body burns calories while warming the water.
  5. Coffee: The caffeine content in coffee is known to stimulate your metabolism.
  6. Beans: Beans are known to contain good amounts of protein and fiber. The fiber in the beans help in promoting satiety and restricts your food cravings. They are also rich in iron, a macronutrient that helps in improving metabolism.
  7. Berries: Berries are rich in antioxidants such as vitamin C that help combat free radical damage in the body. They also contain fiber that promotes healthy digestion.
  8. Chocolate: Chocolate is a good source of magnesium that helps to regulate blood sugar levels in the body. It is also known to stimulate various hormones in the body that burn fat.
  9. Vinegar: Apple cider vinegar is known to regulate blood sugar levels in the body. It also boosts acid production in the stomach, thus promoting healthy digestion and contributing to an increased metabolism.
  10. Cinnamon: Cinnamon is a herb that has certain properties which help in metabolizing carbohydrates in the body, thus increasing your overall calorie burn and kick starting your metabolism.

Hello doctor I am 33 years old male, sucking pennis is good or bad.?

Advanced Aesthetics
Ayurveda,
Hello doctor I am 33 years old male, sucking pennis is good or bad.?
Oral sex refers to oral (mouth and tongue) stimulation of the genitals. Fellatio is the latin term for oral stimulation of the male genitals; cunnilingus is the latin terms for oral stimulation of the female genitals. Some slang expressions for fellatio include: blowjob, sucking or giving head. Slang expressions for cunnilingus include: eating out, or going down on a woman. Anilingus, which refers to kissing, sucking, licking, and/or tonguing the anal opening with the lips and/or tongue, is known as" rimming" or anal oral sex. The male sex organ, the penis, is most sensitive at the top, or head, including the frenulum, the underside of the penis where the head meets the shaft. A person can perform oral sex by sucking, licking or kissing the penis and scrotum. Sucking a man's cock (penis) without a condom is low-risk for getting hiv (the virus that causes aids). However? low-risk? does not mean? no risk? for hiv, and certainly does not mean low-risk for other sexually transmitted infections (stis). Syphilis is currently of particular concern for men who have oral sex with other men. To reduce the risk of hiv infection, you can: avoid flossing or brushing your teeth for at least 30 minutes before, and right after sucking so that there are no open cuts in the mouth. If you smoke, you may wish to wait two hours - not everyone's mouth heals at the same rate and several factors can affect how quickly your mouth heals after a cut. Scientists have found that a smoker's mouth takes longer to heal.) stop sucking before he ejaculates (cums); suck and lick only the shaft and balls, avoiding the head of his cock. If you want to eliminate the risk of hiv and other sexually transmitted infections (stis), use a non-lubricated or flavoured latex condom. The person who is being sucked is at no real risk of hiv infection, but could get other stis. For more queries ask privately.

5 Sweeping Reasons to Drop that Hand Sanitizer

DNB (Dermatology), Fellowship in Skin & Lasers, MBBS, Masters of Dermatology (M.Derm)
Dermatologist, Gurgaon
5 Sweeping Reasons to Drop that Hand Sanitizer

5 Sweeping Reasons To Drop That Hand Sanitizer You Carry Everywhere!

Although hand sanitizers offer you the convenience to clean your hands sans soap and water, and help in killing germs, these convenient health tools also come with their share of negatives.

Here's why you should drop that bottle of hand sanitizer, every time you can avoid and go conventional with soap and water:

1. Creation of Superbugs and Destruction of Cells
Although the ingredient triclosans prevent the development of bacteria, it does more harm than good. Studies show that it aids creation of superbugs (different types of bacteria that are resistant to certain forms of antibiotics). Furthermore, according to a 2014 study, triclosans have also been found to spur the development of breast cancer cells, not to mention the destruction of brain cells, according to research conducted by the university of california.

2. Causes Disruption in Hormones
Excessive use of hand sanitizers has also been found to bring about abnormal hormonal problems. Studies reveal that the triclosan ingredient can alter the way hormones function in the body, enabling bacteria to be able to adapt and become more resistant to antibiotics.

3. Development of Life-Threatening Health Problems
Another ingredient in hand sanitizers that play a role in preventing the growth of bacteria is parabens. This ingredient has been found to be a potent contributing factor in many health problems such as cancer, skin irritation, endocrine problems, to name a few.

4. Causes Skin Damage in The Long Run
As an active ingredient in hand sanitizers, alcohol can have an adverse effect on your health. It breaks down the protective outermost layer of skin, rendering it easy for toxins like parabens or bpa (bisphenol a) that is found in plastics to penetrate your skin easily.

5. Makes You Resistant to Antibiotics
Using hand sanitizers can make you resistant to antibiotics, thereby lowering your resistance to diseases. They may affect your body's immunity by killing off good bacteria that are responsible for keeping you safe from disease-causing bad bacteria. A study conducted in 2011 found that health care workers who used hand sanitizers more than soap and water are 6 times more likely to fall prey to outbreaks of norovirus (a highly infectious virus that causes viral gastroenteritis)
