Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front.

I had a bi lateral TKR in Oct 2001 and a revised TKR IN RIGHT knee in Jun 2010.So far it is functioning well. However I am now having severe pain in my LEFT leg for the last 3-4 months.This pain occurs for an hour or two every morning after I get up and appears to emanate from the area above the LEFT KNEE-CAP , possibly from some NERVE. After I massage the area firmly and/or apply a vibrator, the pain eases gradually.A hot water bath also helps as also exercises of my LOWER torso/legs. I consulte d an ORTHO a few weeks back and he did not find anything wrong with the TKR and suggested wearing a KNEE brace on the left knee to protect /prolong its life.However,I continue to suffer the daily pain for 2-3 hours. Rest of the day is comfortable with the knee brace. I do not wish another REVISION TKR on the left knee if it can be avoided. CAN SOMEONE KINDLY ADVISE ABOUT THE SOURCE AND REASON BEHIND THE PAIN AND what I can /should do to avoid / minimize it . OR MAYBE I should think of having another leftside TKR, HOWEVER MUCH I WANT TO AVOID IT. I AM DESPERATE . PLEASE ADVISE.

You have to reduce weight due to you are feeling pain Avoid fatty and spices food and skip lunch with mild breakfast and dinner take warm water with lemon and honey 2 glass daily empty stomach walk for at least 4-5 km daily with mild exercise and diet control avoid non veg and fast food do exercise and take plenty of water and papaya every day.

Hello apply prasarini oil or pranacharya restopain oil on your affected part and give hot water fomentation .take yograj guggul and agni tundi vati after lunch and dinner with warm water. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Take pranacharya vatari capsule and syrup twice a day. Avoid fermented food. Junk food.

I'm 22 years old. Recently I had shortness of breath and went to doctor. They did ECG and chest xray examined my oral cavity, did CBP and ANA tests and everything was normal. I'm being very anxious of everything. My front neck is having pain when touched and I'm getting anxious it might be cancer or anything inspire of all tests done recently. I'm having fear of death. I'm being afraid of traffic future and everything. I'm having severe acne and that's increasing my depression. I'm taking treatment from a dermatologist now. But my fear of death is not going. How can I become normal without medications. I have no trouble with sleeping. Please suggest me.

Your level of fear is extreme. You may check your prenatal history to examine for any contributing factors. Then meet with a counselor and work out this fear. You need to be in charge od your fear but in your case, it seems that fear is dominating you and is taking a heavy toll on your wellbeing. Some effective emotional therapy will do great justice to your health. These could be hysterical reactions to this undealt fear. You must immediately seek help from a counselor. Your fear is creating an obsession and that will gradually lead to anxiety and compulsive behaviors. Before it gets out of control and difficult to deal with seek help earlier, especially about this fear. If the fear is of recent origin, you could perhaps identify it and deal with it. But if it is from a long past, then much work has to be done to sort that out. Sometimes this kind of nervousness could be genetic too. In the meantime, you must do certain things to build your constitution physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. Mental stability can be achieved by learning a few skills in handling emotions in an appropriate manner. Stress management skills, which have a lot to do with expressing emotions, will need to be a major part of your recovery program. Emotionally you need the help of a counselor and that will help you tremendously to move from anxiety to normal fear. Please persevere and cooperate through all the support you need and you will come through successfully. Develop your body’s health by physical fitness through exercise, good rest (sleep), and a proper diet. Anyway, what you need to focus on is to do vigorous exercise of the aerobic kind for the heart’s fitness; meditation for the brain’s fitness; sleep for a well rested mind and body; a sound spiritual well-being for good confidence and stability; and a diet with lots of vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. Vigorous exercise, especially of the callisthenic kind, will make your heart, which is a muscle, grow larger; and then your heart will need to beat less often and you will respond to the anxiety with a calmer disposition. If your mind, constitution, and your emotions are in check and fit, you will never be disturbed again.

It might be of degenerative changes in the joint or of pathological reasons do take ust and ift for pain relief for 12 days followed by strengthening exercise from neuro physiotherapist apply hot water fomentation thrice a day for 6 days regularly do revert for further assistance best wishes.

MY FATHER is a mid aged man just crossed 50. He is suffering from a problem in hand while he writes .he had to make his hand place down to the paper and drag through while writing. He writes very slow and his handwriting is being worse with the passage of time. Due to some stress in the fingers he has to push his pinky and the ring finger outwards. It is work on computer related problem? Do some general exercises as well. It could be due to lumbar spondylosis This is quite a common condition Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take bio d3 max 1tab odx10days ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days do neck & back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Use of cervical collar will give you relief. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take.

Shoulder pain can be a result of injury or disease of the shoulder joint. Injury can affect any of the ligaments, bursae, or tendons surrounding the shoulder joint. Injury can also affect the ligaments, cartilage, menisci and bones of the joint. Some minor shoulder pain can be treated at home. Icing the shoulder for 15 to 20 minutes, three or four times a day for two to three days can help reduce pain. Use an ice bag or wrap ice in a towel (putting ice directly on your skin can cause frostbite). Rest the shoulder and avoid any movements that might cause pain. Simple shoulder exercises can help to stretch and strengthen muscles and rotator cuff tendons. A physiotherapist can show you how to do them properly. Your bp shows stage 1 hypertension. Discuss your blood pressure concerns with your doctor. If you're already on medications, they probably should be adjusted. If you aren't on medications, it may be reasonable to start with a trial of lifestyle changes, although many people ultimately need medication to get their blood pressure into the normal range. This is a general strain due to excessive walking or standing and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes. One time you can do hot water fermentation that would help to reduce the muscle strain. Osteoarthritic Pain:Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. Simple Knee Exercises would help to strengthen the quadriceps muscle which is the key muscle. Specific knee exercises will also help ie. Keeping a soft ball underneath the knee and you have to keep pressing it. That's the simple exercise which will help you to strengthen the knee. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. Knee Pain unable to walk one step with walker Her knees would have been totally damaged due to arthritis of both the knees. That's the reason she is unable to walk one step as there will be knee rigidity. Physiotherapy Treatment for Knee Pain You can take Ultrasonic therapy in one of the nearby physiotherapy clinics which would help to heal the damaged cartilages along with shortwave diathermy which would help to improve the blood circulation.

I have seronegative spondylitis neck and back pain no neck movement seen many doctors for this no result & esr is also high. please tell me what to do?

Requires detailed examination and investigation. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

It may a mechanical pain as a result of your occupation which involves sitting and driving for long hours. I suggest you consult a Physiotherapist or an Orthopedic doctor, get yourself examined, get a X ray or MRI done according to their advice. If you already have X ray or MRI, then meet the doctor for treatment options. Visit a good physiotherapist, so that your problem can get resolved without any medication, if its not very severe.

Dear, you can easily get fitness and health by following simple and very important tips: * take a diet rich with proteins carbs, vitamins and fats. In morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. In lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. In evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with fruits. In night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. * in morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. * for proper fitness, proper sleep is very important. So you should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. * avoid soft drinks, western fast food (burgers, french fries, pizza etc. They disturb your digestion. * do meditation daily to calm down your stress level. Do pranayam daily. You can take long and deep breaths atleast for 10 minutes in calm and peaceful environment. * avoid smoking & alcohol drinking completly. * for boosting memory, take 1/2 teaspoon of ashwagandha powder daily once a day. I assure you that you definitely get fitness by applying these tips and lifestyle. Be healthy.
