I have ringworm from 1 year. It vanishes after applying cream on it but after some days it comes again. What should I do know to get rid of it.

Recurrence of tinea cruris is common; therefore, it is of utmost importance to treat concurrent fungal infections and to keep the groin region dry to prevent recurrence of tinea cruris. Please dry the area after bathing, using a towel or a hair dryer. If you have tinea cruris please avoid wearing tight-fitting clothing to prevent moisture build-up. If you are are obese to losing weight can help. Please put on your socks before undergarments to minimize the possibility of fungal transfer from the feet to the groin. Antifungal powders, which have the added benefit of drying the region, may be helpful in preventing recurrence of tinea cruris. Repeat scraping or culture may be indicated if initial treatment of tinea cruris is unsuccessful.

My face is very dark and acne. I tried any cream but no results. Please Can you help with me?
hello lybrate user, there are various causes of acne like hormonal imbalance, exposure to dust, pollution,  hereditary, lack of enough sleep, stress, unhealthy food habits etc..; dust clogs the tiny openings of sweat gland or oil gland which ultimately results into acne and blackheads. always wash your face with gentle facewash after exposure to dust, pollution. drink plenty of water, 7-8 glass per day to remove toxins from body and maintain hydration. have healthy diet, add more fruits and green veggies in diet.avoid stress, avoid alcohol, junk food. take homeopathic treatment for acne. It is safe, natural, and holistic way of treatment.homeopathic medicine is selected on the basis of thorough details of patient, like medical history, causes, routine, temperament etc..; such well selected medicine gives complete relief and cure, without any side effects. Treatment Of Autistic Spectrum Disorders Through Homeopathy

Treatment Of Autistic Spectrum Disorders Through Homeopathy

Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) is a name given to a range or spectrum of disorders characterised by various symptoms, skills and levels of disability. It is generally diagnosed within the first two years of a person’s life. Children with autism have delayed milestones, including delayed speech, sense of balance, and inconsistent or no eye contact. Children with ASD also develop limited skills in activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.

A major characteristic of autism is impairment in social functioning, as autism affects the ability to communicate, interact and respond in appropriate ways, thereby impairing social skills significantly. The unusual behaviour and response could be in the form of repetition of phrases or words, unusual tones and facial expressions, and inappropriate display of emotions.

There is no cure for autism as established by medical science. However, there are medications available to manage and treat various linked problems and medical issues like hyperactivity, anxiety, depression and seizures.

Management of autism is a lifelong and complex process. It is more of a journey than a destination. It is ambitious to expect quick results as no one drug or treatment can cause significant change. Treatment is often a combination of therapies and drugs. Daily care services, skill improvement and one-to-one support is extremely important in dealing with autism.

Homeopathy is seldom thought of as an alternate choice when it comes to autism. Homeopathy offers much more than one can think of; however, lack of knowledge about its vast scope and amazing benefits has limited its use among people. Research on the treatment of autism with homeopathy can come a long way, and this has already started showing positive results. Research on reversal of autism with homeopathy is also underway and would surely be a breakthrough in medical science.

Homeopathy is based on a holistic systems approach, which takes into account a constitutional picture of the person to be treated. The physical and mental makeup of each individual is different, and thus each individual responds to a problem in a different way. Homeopathic medication takes into account these differences while formulating a treatment plan. Homeopathic treatment has shown positive results for people with autism, including changes in language abilities, better eye contact, ability to focus, decreased levels of anxiety and repetitive behaviours, which has resulted in promising an overall increased level of social functioning. Homeopathic drugs like carcinosin, thuja and secretin are proven to be effective in treating many behaviors associated with autism.

Parents generally lack awareness regarding availability of this mode of treatment. Once the child is diagnosed, they panic and run to hospitals but hardly find any solutions. It is highly advisable to consult a homeopathic doctor and try out this effective and well researched course of treatment.

A 7 year old does not have wisdom teeth. Root canal is a treatment and teeth are a part of body. So just like any other part of body, your teeth can also get infected again. Its just a secondary infection. Depending upon the tooth resorption, that tooth has to be retreated or removed. If its a primary tooth. If its a permanent tooth ,it has to be retreated and saved.

Hello, I would suggest that you take medication for a short time. That will help you control your symptoms. And while you are on medication, try other things I am suggesting and take proactive your to modify your life style and take charge of your life. Once you follow through regularly you will see positive changes in about 4 to 6 weeks. Once that happens you may consult your doctor again and explain him all that you are doing and try to stop medicine. It will work in your best interest. Both anxiety and panic attacks are manifestation of chronic stress in your daily life. Stress has become part of our daily life now. Due to being in this chronic stress there is lot of negative energy and thinking as well as behavior processes are triggered. The good news is that our mind could be wired to switch back to positive things and resilience building. When things does not happen as we wish or people do not behave as we expect that is when out of disappointment, frustration, loneliness, anger, sadness. Etc we react and our mind starts thinking negative thoughts. Changing this pattern of responding to stressful situation requires both persistence and patience. Also you will only be able to work on this out of love and kindness towards you. Strong motivation will go a long way. Writing a statement about how would you want to respond in a similar situation and how will your life and your happiness will change if you do learn to manage your stress and how to respond to it. Once that is clear. Try following things to learn relaxation response which leads to better coping mechanism on a daily basis. To begin with doing guided progressive muscular relaxation before sleeping will help you relax. You could google and download an audio file. I would also suggest you to take a multiple small break to take 3 nice and deep breath while keeping your eyes closed. You could do this while sitting or standing or while even walking or climbing stairs (keep your eyes open in that case). When you take a nice and deep break there is actual physiological change in your body. This will help you to activate parasympathetic nervous system which promotes relaxation and helps you calm down and think more clearly. This will also actually improve your performance in your work. Along with this exercise is one of the best way to relive stress and stay fit. Engage in any kind of physical activity at least 4 times a week. This also helps in stress reduction. Along with this some relaxation exercises as well as engaging in joyful activities such as music, singing, dancing, reading, being in nature, gardening, talking with friends or anything which you enjoy will help reducing stress and rejuvenation of your mind and body. Have good routine for sleep and eating. Lot of research has now proven that sugar is very harmful for our health. Reduce sugar and refined white floor in your diet as much as you could. Along with this also increase consumption of raw vegetables in the form of salad in both the meals of your day.

Chlamydia: What Should You Know About It?

Chlamydia: What Should You Know About It?

Chlamydia is caused by the bacteria Chlamydia trachomatis and doesn't have any defined symptoms and hence, most people who suffer from it are not even aware of their status. Of all the sexually transmitted diseases, Chlamydia is the most common.

And, since it doesn't have any defined symptoms, it is transmitted unknowingly from one person to another. Chlamydia can also be passed on from mother to child, if the mother suffers from Chlamydia while she is pregnant. Here are a few things you should know about this sexually transmitted disease.

Symptoms: Symptoms of Chlamydia are noticeable within 1-3 weeks of unprotected intercourse. The symptoms of Chlamydia are different in men and women.

Symptoms in Men

  • Clear or cloudy discharge from the penis
  • Painful urination
  • Burning and itching around the penis head
  • Painful swelling of the testicles

Symptoms in Women

A simple urine test or lab test can be used to diagnose Chlamydia. For the lab test, the doctor will take a sample swab from a man's urethra or a woman's cervix.

Once diagnosed, Chlamydia can be easily treated. In most cases, oral antibiotics will cure the patient in a week or two. It is important to complete the antibiotic course even if the symptoms disappear early. In some cases, women with severe Chlamydia may need to be hospitalized for intravenous treatment.

With Chlamydia, it is important not only for you to get yourself treated, but to also get your partner treated. This will eliminate the chances of the disease recurring. You must also test yourself after three months to ensure that the disease has been completely cured.

Chlamydia can affect your health badly, if left untreated. It can cause pelvic inflammatory disease in women, which may make the woman infertile by affecting her fallopian tubes. It could also increase the risk of an ectopic pregnancy and premature birth. Further, remember that Chlamydia can also be passed on from mother to child if left untreated. This can cause the newborn to have an eye infection or pneumonia at the time of birth. If left untreated in men, Chlamydia can cause nongonococcal urethritis, epididymitis and proctitis. The first is an infection of the urethra; the second, an infection of the tube that carries the sperm from the testis and the third is an inflammation of the rectum.

Like all STDs, Chlamydia can be prevented by the use of a condom and fidelity between sexual partners.

What is the healthy food to be taken by a 3 months pregnancy women, would you please help me sir.
Hello, A pregnant woman should take utmost caution of what she eats. A nutritious diet rich in proteins, iron, calcium and omega 3 fatty acids is recommended. Overall besides normal food make sure she takes a big glass of milk daily, 2-3 eggs in a week, chicken/ fish twice a week, take 2 helping of fruits and salads daily. Taking 5-6 almonds alone a piece or two of walnuts daily should overall take care of your nutritional requirements. Hope this helps you.

Hi, take homoeopathic medicine - berberis vulgaris q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice daily for 4 months. Get an ultrasound done. (but medicine would be helpful in those kidney-stones where the size is less than 6mm). Prevention of kidney stones may include a combination of lifestyle changes and medications. Lifestyle changes you may reduce your risk of kidney stones if you: drink water throughout the day. For people with a history of kidney stones, drink 12-14 glasses of water everyday. If you live in a hot, dry climate or you exercise frequently, you may need to drink even more water to produce enough urine. If your urine is light and clear, you're likely drinking enough water. 1 eat fewer oxalate-rich foods. If you tend to form calcium oxalate stones, restrict foods rich in oxalates. These include rhubarb, beets, bhindi (okra), spinach, swiss chard, sweet potatoes, nuts, tea, chocolate and soy products. Choose a diet low in salt and animal protein. Reduce the amount of salt you eat and choose non animal protein sources, such as legumes. Consider using a salt substitute. Continue eating calcium-rich foods, but use caution with calcium supplements. Calcium in food doesn't have an effect on your risk of kidney stones. Continue eating calcium-rich foods unless your doctor advises otherwise. Ask your doctor before taking calcium supplements, as these have been linked to increased risk of kidney stones. You may reduce the risk by taking supplements with meals. Diets low in calcium can increase kidney stone formation in some people. Revert me back.

Suffering from PCOD? What Diet Should You Follow?

Suffering from PCOD? What Diet Should You Follow?

Polycystic ovary disease or PCOD is a variant of hormonal disorder which is known to affect 1 out of 10 women. PCOD is a condition in which a woman has numerous small cysts in the ovaries. It can lead to unregulated hormonal cycle and may also trigger high blood pressure, diabetes, acne, infertility and growth of hair on the cheek, chin and chest.

How may PCOD be helped with diet?
Though there is no way to reverse the effects of PCOD, it can be managed with adequate exercise and well-regulated diet. So, if you are disturbed by the effects of PCOD, you can try these tips to help your situation.
Eat more fruits and vegetables: Many health experts are of the opinion that fruits and vegetables can eliminate toxins from the body. You should also avoid dairy-based products as they can trigger insulin levels aggravating acne and other skin problems.

  1. Eat lean meat but stay away from red meat: In 2013, a study reported that consuming red meat can increase the risk of infertility and therefore, you must try to avoid it. You must also limit the consumption of sugary foods and drinks.
  2. Stay away from saturated and hydrogenated fats: Saturated fats are available naturally in some foods such as pork, lamb, beef, cheese etc. and they can cause a hike in your cholesterol and blood sugar levels. It is therefore suggested to check the labels of food products to make sure that the baked foods you are consuming are free from saturated and hydrogenated fats.
  3. Pick a food with low glycemic index: Women who are suffering from PCOD suffer from insulin resistance and as a result, should consume the foods that are meant for diabetics. So your foods should be rich in fibre content with a limited amount of carbohydrates and processed foods. Foods made of whole wheat and whole grain should be avoided. You can eat brown rice, wheat pasta and poha made of brown rice.
  4. Drink lots of water: Women suffering from PCOD can experience water retention. So, you should eat small and frequent meals along with a lot of water all through the day.

Besides following all these tips, it is crucial to workout for about 30 to 60 minutes in a day for reducing your insulin resistance, which may make you overweight and even obese. This, in turn, would cause irregularity of hormonal levels and host a lot of other problems.
