I am 59 years old woman. I had fracture at hip and got surgery for the same in usa 5 months back. Now I am able to walk with a stick. Few days since I am getting swollen at the ankle but not feeling any severe pain in this regard I request you to advice cause and medication.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Namaskar sir, From last one month I am having visible twitching on my both thighs near my quads after every 20 minutes which lasts for few seconds throughout day, sometimes I gets twitches in arm, hips and palm of hand, I consulted doctor but he said to take enough water but twitching is not going, I did my EEG and it shows normal eeg pattern, I am worried. Please help. Please please please please.

Muscle twitching is generally harmless. In certain cases it may be caused by serious illnesses affecting the nerves or muscles or spinal cord and brain. Thyroid and Parathyroid hormone dysfunction can also cause it. If your twitching is accompanied by 1. weakness of hands or legs 2. vision defects 3. loss of control over urine or stools 4. loss of sensation or tingling 5.difficulty breathing or swallowing Consult immediately with your doctor. You can get your Thyroid and Parathyroid hormone levels checked. If problem persists or is severe you may need MRI of brain and spine.

I am 22 year old and I have a pain in my knee from last 4 days. Therefore I used a pain relief ointment but it does not relief me and it pains continue.

Knee pain is a common complaint that affects people of all ages. Knee pain may be the result of an injury or some other medical conditions including arthritis, patellar tendinitis, acl injury, knee bursitis, torn meniscus, gout and infections. Try some home remedies for your pain- - ice is useful for the control of pain and swelling. It can be applied to the knee for 15 to 20 minutes as often as every two to four hours. The swollen knee should be elevated above the level of the heart while icing. -activities that cause pain should be avoided temporarily. -if the knee is swollen or sore, the following positions and activities should be avoided until knee pain and swelling resolve: squatting kneeling twisting and pivoting jogging aerobics, dancing playing sport specific exercises will help you improve range of motion, strength, and endurance. It is especially important to focus on strengthening and stretching your quadriceps since these muscles are the main stabilizers of your kneecap. Core exercises may also be recommended to strengthen the muscles in your abdomen and lower back. Also maintaining a healthy body weight to avoid overstressing your knees are very important. -a full history of your problem should be taken and your movements assessed by a physiotherapist. This is my mri report please give me your precious advice about my mri reporMRI LEFT KNEE. imaging of the LEFT KNEE was performed using spin- echo, gradient echo and fast spin echo pulse sequences and high resolution T1W, FS PD and T2W were obtained in the sagittal, axial and coronal planes with STIR sequence in the coronal plane. FINDINGS: There is disruption in the continuity of fibres of anterior cruciate ligament near its femoral attachment with near horizontal orientation of the residual fibres. PDFS hyperintensity noted in the intercondylar notch. There is associated mild anterior subluxation of tibia relative to the femur. The posterior cruciate ligament is buckled otherwise normal in morphology, attachments and signal intensity. Medial and lateral collateral ligaments are intact and show normal signal intensity. Anterior horns, posterior horns and bodies of both medial and lateral menisci are normal. There is no significant collection in the knee joint. The lower end of femur, upper ends of tibial and fibula and the patella show normal signal characteristics with no evidence of any bone contusion/fracture. The muscles, tendons and fascial planes around the knee joint are normal. OPINION: Mr. FINDINGS REVEALS: Complete tear of anterior cruciate ligament near its femoral attachment.

I am having too much knee pain lot of treatment some but no relief without painkillers I can not walk. doctors say cartilage in my both knee are finished medicine taken. Flexinova; astabis 4 mg, megclav ,vit b12 injection also but no relief doctors said just do walking and cycling and take painkillers what to do can I take hyalunicacid injection pls suggest.

Hi, My lower back pains when I stand for sometime or walk. Not for long period, Just within half an hour it starts paining. There is discharge also. When I wake up in the morning I feel v tired and my body pains. My haemoglobin is 11. My feet also pain. I feel exhausted, tired and low full day. I feel as there is no energy in my body. But my hb is nrml.

You need arthroscopic knee surgery. It is a very safe procedure in our hands with uniformly good results. We have very good well equipped center in delhi. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Don't ignore it lest it become beginning of a bigger problem.

Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicines 1. Calc fluor 30 (4 drops in little water) every morning empty stomach only one dose in a day for 15 days. 2. Rhus tox 30 (4 drops in little water) twice a day for 15 days. 3. Alfalfa tonic (sbl) (1tbs) twice a day for 15 days and update. I have a chronic pain in my back from 2008. It is a result of an accident. Once I fell from bicycle. At that time did not realised any problem. Latter it became a problem for me.

Hello do cold fomentation for 15-20 min thrice in a day. Avoid using computer, take rest for 5 min after working for 1 hour. You can use thin pillow while sleeping. In pain free range do neck exercises. Maintain proper body posture while watching tv/studying. Revert me after 7 days. Thanks.

Is knee joint pain permanently incurable or not. If not, what should one do not to suffer pain. What to do for keeping oneself in long time walkable condition.

Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold).

Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana? lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Requires detail examination and investigation presently investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d xray of the affected part. Head pain can be migraine and you need check up for total pains and it can also be depression. You can take brufen if pain is severe and need to check up.
