Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.

You may have sciatica pain. To manage new sciatica pain, you may find that certain positions and activities are more comfortable than others. The proper exercises from a physiotherapist will help reduce sciatic pain. The exercises recommended will depend on what's causing the sciatica. It's important to work with a specialist who has experience working with people with sciatica. It's also important to do the exercises exactly as directed. Here are some home treatments for sciatica which you can follow: -do not bend, lift, or sit in a soft, low chair; the pain will get worse. -try a cold pack to see if it helps the pain. If you don't have a cold pack, use a large bag of frozen vegetables; it makes a good first aid cold pack. -after the cold massages, try alternating with heat from hot bag. -you may feel better lying on your back on a firm surface with a pillow under knees. Another option is lying on side with a pillow between the knees to keep the back straight. Also, a recliner chair is helpful. -do activities one you are able to tolerate. Best wishes.

Hello. Maintain a right standing and sitting posture, keep your back always straight, avoid carrying weight on back. Hold or carry weight divided equally in both the hands or shoulders (to avoid over straining on one particular hand or shoulder). Lie down on bed on your back without pillow. Exercise: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. Get back to me thereafter.

Computers, working stations, all work on table-tops and for add on watching TV in improper position, reading while sleeping and many other causes are there which are adding extra stiffness to the neck of human beings so pain in neck is increasing day by day. Collars are a fashion in corporate and soon these might be included into the official uniforms for everybody who works on computers. Why neck pain is like a breakout? Is it an era of Cervical Pain? What are the reasons for neck pain and is there any way to get rid of the pain in neck?

Neck pain, surely pain in the neck. This pain can be caused by many different spinal problems. Neck pain may be caused by the muscular stiffness in neck as well as in upper back on a simpler note and it might be due to the pinching of the nerve in cervical region. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

. First of all you should follow some basic thing 1. Avoid=hot and cold at time 2. Less the sugar as much as possible if you want to eat sweet take juggery which is black 3. Do not drink water after meal drink at the time of meal sip by sip up to 150 ml 4. Avoid late night sleep 5. Yograj guggul 1 tab before lunch and dinner 2. i would recommend following recipe 1. Take 1 cup mustard oil 2. Add 10 g camphor 3. Heat the oil till the camphor dissolves completely 4. Massage lukewarm oil on the affected area This will help improve the blood circulation in the area and will reduce the inflammation and stiffness

I suggest you follow the below for your condition: take mag phos 6x - thrice daily for next 2 weeks and update. Also do x-ray of the affected area. Heat and ice packs. *sit straight so that back bone gets proper support. A dining chair is better than a laid back sofa. *you can use mustard oil for massage which is good in winter season for relieving pain. Eucalyptus oil is also good *soft bed will not give proper support to your back bone. Hard bed with thin mattress and thin pillow is better. *get yourself tested whether you have spondylitis problem. Homoeopathy has a good treatment for this without adverse effects. Take calc fluor 200--once daily in the morning.

Hi, don't worry. Toe walking is simply a habit that develops when a child learns to walk. A consistent heel-toe walking usually develops by approximately age 22 months. Persistent toe walking beyond age 2 years merits further evaluation. Various causes of toe walking exist and include both central (brain) and peripheral neurologic disorders (eg, tethered spinal cord, diastematomyelia, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, muscular disorders (eg, congenital muscular dystrophy), and anatomic disorders such as limb length discrepancy. Sometime it can be idiopathic called as habitual toe walking or can be due to contraction of achillis tendon. But suggest you to get it check with pediatric physiotherapist or pediatrician as only one foot is involved or to rule out if any underlying cause is not there. Thanks and take care.

This form of low back pain is amplified with periods of stress, poor posture, weak abdominals and/or excessive body weight. There are many exercises that should be performed to address the issue of back pain from standing. These exercises try to relieve both the tightness and imbalances in the lumbar spine. Please consult a physiotherapist privately to learn these exercises. Here are a few simple tips to try at home: -heat therapy can provide both pain relief and healing benefits for many types of lower back pain. Try use heat therapy in form of heating pads, heat wraps, hot baths, etc. -keep moving and keep your back mobile. -stretch. Don't sit slumped in your desk chair all day. Get up every 20 minutes or so and stretch the other way. Because most of us spend a lot of time bending forward in our jobs, it's important to stand up and stretch backward throughout the day. -think ergonomically. Design your workspace so you don't have to hunch forward to see your computer monitor or reach way out for your mouse. Use a desk chair that supports your lower back and allows you to keep your feet planted firmly on the floor. -watch your posture. Slumping makes it harder for your back to support your weight. Be especially careful of your posture when lifting heavy objects. Never bend over from the waist. Instead, bend and straighten from the knees. -watch your weight. Use diet and exercise to keep your weight within a healthy range for your height. Being overweight puts excess stress on your spine. Go and see a doctor if -your low back pain is severe, doesn't go away after a few days, or it hurts even when you're at rest or lying down. You have weakness or numbness in your legs, or you have trouble standing or walking. You lose control over your bowels or bladder. These could be signs that you have a nerve problem or another underlying medical condition that needs to be treated.

What type of mattress should be used to avoid Backpain?
Back pain is one of the top reasons that people start to lose mobility in middle age. Pain can prevent people from engaging in physical activity, making it more difficult for them to maintain a healthy weight and keep up their strength, stamina, and balance as they age. So treating and handling back pain that results from injuries or health problems is crucial for staying on the path of a healthy and active life.

Seeing that most people spend roughly a third of their lives lying in bed, choosing the right mattress is essential for managing low back pain. It can realize the difference in whether you can sleep at night and function the next day.

In the past, doctors often recommended very firm mattresses. But one study, based on a waiting-room survey of 268 people with low back pain, found that those who slept on orthopedic (very hard) mattresses had the poorest sleep quality. There was no difference in sleep quality between those who used medium-firm and firm mattresses.

Soft mattresses, on the other hand, can also be problematic. While a soft mattress that adjusts to your body?s natural curves may help the joints align favorably, you might also sink in so deeply that your joints twist and become painful during the night.

If you desire to find out whether a firmer mattress would feel better than the one you?re currently using, try putting a plywood board under your mattress to dampen the movement from the bedsprings, or try placing your mattress on the floor.

Of course, you can also go to a mattress showroom and test a variety of models. Simply keep in mind that what feels comfortable for a few minutes in a store might not translate into a good night?s sleep. A more reliable test is to discover how you feel after sleeping on different types of mattresses while away from home ? for example, at a hotel or a friend or relative?s house.

Early morning back pain especially if accompanied with stiffness can be a symptom of a chronic systemic disorder. You can try over the counter anti inflammatory drugs for a few days and if it doesn't work, please consider consulting a qualified doctor. Tips: 1. Body weight is an important factor so get that under control. 2. Maintain proper water intake and diet. 3. Try body weight exercises and activities like swimming and walking once you've pain relief.

I am having a volar locking plate on my left arm as I suffered from a distal radius fracture. Is it necessary to remove the plate after 1 or 2 years? If not what will be the possible complications?

At your age, it is advisable to remove implant after fracture union. Because if implant removal planned after more than 8-10 yrs, then it difficult to remove implant. Also if any untoward incident happens in future on same forearm, then it will be tough time for any doctor to treat.
