If you have grade 2 spondylolisthesis, I would suggest that you first undergo surgical correction then 6 months after that, you can go to gym freely.

I have pain in my legs. My blood pressure is okay and also not having sugar. What to do?
Leg pain can be due to various reasons. It can be due to tight muscles, referred pain from low back, vascular problems etc. Usually stretches for tight calf, hamstrings, quadriceps can help. Try hot or cold fermentation. Deep tissue massage can help relax tight muscles and reduce pain. Wish you speedy recovery.

Dear Lybrate User, As per your complains it seems like may be due to Osteoarthritis. Initially avoid yogurt, curt, excessive spicy & slaty foods, fast food & junk food, cold water/milk, cold drinks, avoid sprouted pulses like mung-chana etc. Don't sit directly at floor. Have hot fomentation on Joints & painful area, do small exercises of joints, Took proper sun bath, fruits & vegetables except all beans & pulses. U need ayurvedic panchkarma treatment. For more discussion consult me personally.

Whenever I bend neck and work for a long time I get severe back and neck pain. Why is that?

Whenever I bend neck and work for a long time I get severe back and neck pain. Why is that?
Hi, When you bend your neck and work for a long time, the muscles of the neck are stretched which hinders the blood supply to that area and give rise to pain. Never sit and work without back rest. This will relax the muscles of the back and neck. Adjust the height of the table so that the system is at your eye level which keeps your neck straight.

I am 61, m. It is now - last two months - discovered that I have a slip disc. My second opinion doctor said that it is not a case for surgical treatment, but and the pain in the lower back will go with passage of time with the prescribed exercise. And complete rest - I am not supposed to go out for about 2 months and thereafter I have start walking exercise. I feel a bit better but the pain is still there. Your opinion?

Hi Thanks for your query and Welcome to Lybrate. I am Dr Akshay from Fortis Hospital, New Delhi. I am not quite sure about rest for 2 months because that is a bit too much. Anyways i can opine on your condition if i have : - Your detailed Neurological charting of lower limbs - MRI LS Spine It helps me to correlate clinical picture with radiological investigations so that a logical conclusion can be drawn and give to you. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation. Is there any treatment except replacement of both joints when both joints are teared.Age is 50 years

Hello, if its osteoarthritis of knee, doctors recommend conservative treatment like exercises before surgery. Surgery is the last resort. If its torn ligaments or meniscus needs orthopedic consultation on the degree of tear that determines the need for surgery.

Hello ,as you have mentioned you had a fracture in proximal bone of tibia ,I would suggest to strengthen your thigh and leg muscles. Because cramps sometimes occurs due to weakness in muscles as due to fracture and immbilisation in plaster cast muscles get weak and may be stiffness in joints so I would suggest to go to a physiotherapy doctor first of all. Learn some exercises and proper rehabilitate your muscles, thank you.
