You should not take high protein diet so should avoid pulses as much as possible very occasional use of these mentioned pulses in smaller quantities you can take once in a while.

Hi sir, continue medication for diabetes, since you are using medications thats why levels are maintained. Please do not stop medication.

It can spread through coughing and sneezing so always cover your face while doing so. And make sure people around you in office or home also follow this.Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth too often Maintain a high level of personal hygiene. Always wash your hands before or after eating and particularly after returning from a public place. Sometimes virus can spread through droplets that have remained on surfaces of things like laptops, phones so avoid using someone else’s items. Avoid public places, unhygienic conditions, etc. If your city/area is swine-flu endemic, always wear a standard swine flu mask  in public places (the H-95 mask which is worn by nurses and doctors while collecting samples from swine flu victims). Normal surgical masks which sell like hot cakes during swine flu season might not give enough protection. If you feel sick and look like you are developing a cold or fever, stay at home and take enough rest. Rest has also been shown to increase ‘interferons’ which help our immunity to fight the virus better. Keeping away from others also prevents spread of the infection. Flu prevention for adults and teens aged 13 years and older. Take 1 dose, once daily, for 10 days or as long as prescribed. One dose is 75 mg/12.5 mL for adults

Reasons Behind Sciatica Pain!

Sciatica is a very common neuropathic pain that is caused by damage to the sciatic nerve, a large nerve that runs from the lower back region down the end of each leg. It is the largest single nerve in the body.
This condition affects around 4 out of 10 people at some point of their lives. The nature of the pain varies from a mild ache to a sharp stinging sensation and may cause feelings of numbness and extreme weakness.

Causes of Sciatica
The causes for the onset of Sciatica are numerous. Some of them are as follows:

  • Slipped lumbar disc
  • Muscle inflammation
  • Internal bleeding
  • Pregnancy
  • Obesity
  • Awkward sleeping position
  • Uncomfortable footwear
  • Spinal injury

How can physical therapy help?
There are many ways of treating Sciatica, such as medication, acupuncture and surgery, which can provide relief. The most common and easy treatment method however is physical therapy. A progressive and controlled exercise routine that is specifically tailored to the nature of the condition in consultation with a physical therapist acts as an effective remedy in treating the problem. It alleviates pain and also eliminates the chances of relapse.

Physical therapy exercises used to treat Sciatica are of many types. They are a combination of core strengthening, muscular stretching and aerobic conditioning routines, which aim at correcting the root of the problem.

The different types of exercises employed to treat Sciatica include the following:

  1. Strengthening exercises: These aim at strengthening the spinal column and the pelvic region, which includes the hips and buttocks. They help in making the muscles and ligaments in this region more robust and allow for improved flexibility and support.Lunges and squats are some of the examples.
  2. Stretching exercises: These provide pain relief through improved agility and flexibility. The most important aspect of these routines is stretching and exercising the hamstring. Hamstring, stretches, calf stretches and tricep stretches are a part of stretching exercises.
  3. Aerobic conditioning: These are cardiovascular exercises of low intensity, which provide pain relief through the release of endorphins and the facilitation of fluid and nutrient exchange. Examples of these are swimming and brisk walking.

Do ultrasound abdomen. Consult ayurvedic physician and get ayurvedic medicines to boost and modulate your immunity. Avoid stress. Take proper sleep. Take plenty of fluids. Take fresh vegetables and fruits. Avoid packed food and juice. Do exercise regularly.

I was a sports man I had a operation in my leg my ligament has broken now can I start playing again?

Hello lybrate-user, according to your history and as a sportsperson that operation would most likely be an acl reconstruction. Playing again will depend upon your rehabilitation protocol and the strength of the fixation of ligament which your operating surgeon will most likely know the best. Generally after around one month of physiotherapy low impact activities and around six months for starting of high impact activity like running, sprinting, playing.
