The natural color of a teeth cannot be changed by any treatment. But if your profession demands the brighter tooth there are variety of treatments available to make it bright like putting laminates on your front teeth. Bleaching. So it depends on the patients expectation and professional demands for to plan the treatment options. Send your pics if possible.

Hi lybrate-user, It is normal to have wearing of enamel with age. If its really bad then you can opt for smile correction and undergo laminates or veneers whichever is good for you. Rest you can use a super soft bristle tooth brush and brush gently.

My teeth is paining to much what I do?

BDS (GOLD MEDALIST)
Dentist,
My teeth is paining to much what I do?
Hi, to get temporary relief from pain you can take ketorol dt 2 tabs dissolved in half cup of water or ibuprofen after meal. Pain can be due to some conditions like cavities, tooth abcess, gum disease, and fracture of tooth. So you need to be investigated to know about the exact cause of pain.

My ques are 1) why it is happening? Coz I dnt consume lots of sweets or chocolates 2) a way to get rid off pain and sensitivity 3) can I repair my teeth again as I want to with any natural method? 4) what is the medical long term treatment for this? Will it be painful? 5) how can I improve my breathe? Dear Dr. I'll b very thankful to you for your concern. please help me.

Dentist, Ahmedabad
First of all, 1- Having sweets or chocolates is not the only cause of tooth cavity. Any kind of incleaned food that lodges onto tooth surface leads to tooth decay. 2- For tooth sensitivity you can use any sensitivity tooth paste commercially available. 3- Once tooth decay occurs there is no natural method available for it but ya you can stop it from occuring by maintaining a good oral hygine and by scaling ( cleaning of teeth ) at thr interval of 5-6 months every year and by proper brushing technique. 4- If the decay is not too deep we can save the tooth by restoring it with dental cements, and if the cavity is too deep we can save it by root canal treatment followed by placement of crown ( i.e. cap ) - Now days root canal treatment is 100 % pain free treatment. 5- To improve breath , do brushing twice a day as well as forceful gargles everytime you take food. - And undergo scaling ( cleaning of teeth ) every 6 months

Bleeding in my gums last two month what should I do for this problem
Is this piria?
We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with surgical, gum strengthening procedure. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

Hot weather conditions can harm retainers. They should be kept away from hot water, hot car dashboards, pockets and napkins.

Dear Sir/Mame-I'm suffering from bad breathe from 10 to 15 years. But my teeth is clean & so much white. I'm brushing twice a day. I feel dry mouth problem. I don't have any bad habits like smoking, drinking & many more. But only some time I'm eating happy dent chewing gum. I'm 23 years old & I'm 2nd year student, this problem is not good for me. And I'm always taking care of my teeth. Pls suggest me 1 best mouth wash. And please plz help me. I'm waiting. Thank You.

Dentist, Gurgaon
as you said you have dry mouth problem, bad breath problem you have is dude to this only. dry mouth causes bacteria to act fast over small food particles settled over teeth and tongue. drink lots of water. also visit a dentist for professional cleaning of your teeth and follow this every 6 months to one year. also only brushing can't solve the purpose, flossing and tongue cleaning are equally important.

Do you think that a fallen tooth is always a waste? That's not true. Saving a fallen tooth can be useful.  Try to keep it in place while you seek immediate medical attention. If that is not the case, try wrapping the tooth in a piece of plastic or soaking it into milk and call for immediate dental service.

Nite bruxism can be of two types. Day and night also called diurnal n nocturnal. It can be a result of several things one of them being stress. Cold etc. Yes there are treatments. Dentists usually make customised mouth guards for the patient t to wear so that it prevents dental damage. And try n reach the source of the problem to counsel them out of it. The habit has to broken to prevent temperomandibular joint dysfunctions mpds that is pain in jaw opening joint n jaw. Teeth wear. Tooth decay. Loss of vertical height due to that. Etc. It would be highly recommended you take him to a good oral pathologist or a pedodontist or a multi speciality dental clinic so that they may help you deal with the problem well good luck.

I have yellow teeth. I have tried many things but they were not effective. Suggest me something.

BDS
Dentist, Bangalore
I have yellow teeth. I have tried many things but they were not effective. Suggest me something.
There are several causes of tooth discoloration, including: foods/drinks. Coffee, tea, colas, wines, and certain fruits and vegetables (for example, apples and potatoes) can stain your teeth. Poor dental hygiene. Inadequate brushing and flossing. Here is home remedy for brighter teeth--- mix several teaspoons of baking soda with enough fresh lemon juice (or water) to make a paste. Wipe your teeth and any extra saliva off of them with a paper towel. Put a good amount of paste onto your toothbrush and apply. Leave the paste on for 1 minute, then rinse, so as to avoid the acid effecting enamel. If you are using just water you can leave it on for up to 3 minutes. For faster result you can go for teeth bleaching from dentist.
