What is PCOS?
There are no cysts in ovary instead the normal development of egg is arrested due to hormonal imbalance.

How Homeopathy Helps Treat PCOS?

BHMS, PG Diploma In Clinical Cosmetology (PGDCC) & PGDMT

How Homeopathy Helps Treat PCOS?

PCOS or polycystic ovarian syndrome is a hormonal disorder that is very common among women, in their reproductive age. It is the condition in which cysts are formed in the ovary of the affected woman and/or the levels of the male hormone called androgen increases in her body.

As a result of these, she faces a variety of symptoms like late or no periods, heavy menstrual bleeding, the growth of facial hair, unintended weight gain, acne and pain in the pelvic region. It is also associated with problems related to conception and pregnancy in more complex conditions.

While the complete cure of PCOS is a time-consuming process since it demands thorough observation regarding the change of symptoms in the patient over a period of time; and the course of treatment follows these observations.

Although PCOS and its symptoms can be treated using conventional drugs, use of homeopathic medications is better to treat this condition for the following reasons.

Treatment addressing the root-cause

Using homeopathy for PCOS is a good idea because it offers permanent treatment for the condition. Homeopathy treats and cures the root cause of the condition rather than focussing on the external factors that cause the disease. Therefore, the treatment offered by homeopathy is more reliable. For example, the medicines prescribed for an interrupted period is different from the medicines prescribed for profuse bleeding.

No side effects

Homeopathic treatment is based on the belief that the human body was meant to remain disease free always. So it never tries to make use of drugs that can disturb the body's ability to function naturally. All that homeopathic medications do is to restore the vitality of the body so that it can find its way out of the disease all by itself. This kind of a treatment ensures that there are no side-effects whatsoever of homeopathic medicines.

Sir she said that her last two menstrual dates are 1st january and 3rd February and she is expecting that her next menstrual date will may be 5th march. If a women’s menstrual cycle varies from 26days to 31days cycle, The shortest cycle (26days) minus18days=8th day. The longest cycle (31days) minus 10days=21st day Thus, 8th to 21st day of each cycle counting from first day of menstrual period is considered as fertile period. That is UNSAFE PERIOD. Period other than this fertile period in a menstrual cycle is considered as SAFE PERIOD.

My vaginal passage is small. How to expand it. While trying for intercourse it not expand enough to have a penetration. And also when my partner inserts two fingers inside my vagina then it creates pain and sometimes bleeding from the surrounding slit of skin. How to overcome this situation? And is there any lubricant for this problem.

MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology, MBBS, Post Doctoral Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine, Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery
Gynaecologist, Pune
IT NEVER HAPPENS THAT THE VAGINA IS NARROW. ITS AN EXPANDIBLE TUBE. WHAT PROBELM YOU ARE FACING IS BEFCAUSE OF APPREHENSION. ALTERNATIVELY YOU CAN USE LOX JELLY FOR LUBRICATION. BUT IF YOU DO A LOT OF FOREPLAY THEN YOU WONT NEED ANY LUBRICATION EITHER. OPEN UP YOUR MIND AND ACCEPT THE THING.

She desperately wants to have sex in her periods without any protection. There is no option to have sex after or before her periods. She wants it on her periods time. So is there any possibility that she can get pregnant.

Having sex during periods definitely protects a woman from unwanted pregnancy. But it might be unhygienic to have sex during periods and I am sure it might seem messy and dirty.

Premature Menopause: What Are The Symptoms Behind It?

MBBS, MS - Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Delhi
Premature Menopause: What Are The Symptoms Behind It?

Menopause is characterized by the absence of menstrual periods for 12 months. It is the time in a woman’s life when the ovaries stop functioning. The periods then stop forever. The normal period of menopause is 51 years of age, however, menopause may happen as ahead of schedule as the 30s or as late as the 60s. There is no solid lab test to determine when a lady will encounter menopause. Early menopause usually starts between the ages of 40 and 45. Untimely menopause begins significantly earlier, before the age of 40. Nevertheless, premature or early menopause is not that common with only about one percent of the women going through early menopause before the age of 40.

The signs and symptoms of early menopause are like the usual menopause. Some basic side effects include:

  1. Irregular periods (amenorrhea)
  2. Hot flashes
  3. Night sweats
  4. Vaginal dryness
  5. Mood shifts
  6. Mental fogginess
  7. Diminished sex drive

Your specialist will suggest a treatment depending on your individual circumstances. Some common ways to deal with premature or early menopause are as follows:

Hormone Replacement Therapy
Supplements containing estrogen and progestin can help and replace some of your reproductive hormones in the body that can no longer make it all alone. They are frequently taken until the normal period of menopause (around 50) to help avoid bone loss. This treatment is not suggested for all ladies since it expands the danger of:

Supplemental Calcium and Vitamin D
Supplementary calcium and vitamin D can help in preventing osteoporosis in case you are not getting enough of these supplements from your normal diet. Women between ages 19 to 50 need to consume 1,000 milligrams of calcium for each day through food or supplements. Ladies over age 51 need to consume 1,200 milligrams for each day. A prescribed day-to-day measure of vitamin D has not yet been built up. For grown-up females, most specialists prescribe 600 to 800 global units through food or supplements. One should get a prescription from a doctor before ingesting the medication.

Other strategies to deal with Infertility
A few ladies with untimely menopause can at present get pregnant with no treatment. Ladies who want to have children, however, tend to become infertile after early or untimely menopause, need to consider in-vitro treatment, fertilization or even adoption.

Talk Therapy
Numerous ladies discover that having a conversation with a therapist can be supportive to adapt to their anxiety. It helps them release their pent up emotions and gives the clarity and satisfaction about their problems. Talk therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy are always beneficial since they help in addressing the symptoms and side effects that a woman may be going through emotionally when it comes to early menopause. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Gynaecologist.

I have a small lump on the nipple of my left breast, on the down-left side, roughly for about 2 years. I also have sharp stinging pains in both the breasts, mostly left breast, roughly for about a year and a half. What do I do?

MBBS, MS - General Surgery, MRCS (Edinburgh), Fellowship In Breast Surgery, Fellowship In Onco-plastic Breast Surgery
Oncologist, Gurgaon
Hi Between the age of 15-25 years, benign (non cancerous) lumps in the breast (fibroadenomas) are very common. They are usually painless but can sometimes cause pain. Another cause of breast pain could be the hormonal changes during your periods. You should get an ultrasound of the breast, to make sure that the lump is not suspicious. If it is a small fibroadenoma, it can be managed non-operatively.

Hello- Since you perform sex after a large gap, it is causing problems in your pregnancy. Prolonged gap of sex in men makes his sperms immotile. It does not have big effect on female health but yes white discharge is going to minimize your chances of pregnancy. I recommend you both to start of medications and you can fulfill your dreams of a baby.
