Thyroid has nothing to do with weight gain! moreover, don't presume, get your thyroid profile tested, if you really have thyroid. It can be cured by medicines! 1.

My wife is pregnant, baby conceived in jan 2016. She's having pain in her breast what should we do.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
My wife is pregnant, baby conceived in jan 2016. She's having pain in her breast what should we do.
Breast pain after delivery can be due to many possibilities like 1. The letdown reflex the letdown reflex, also called the milk ejection reflex, is set off by the hormone oxytocin. It stimulates the muscle cells in your breasts to squeeze out milk. Oxytocin is released whenever your baby feeds in the first few days after she's born. Later on, just thinking about feeding your baby can trigger this hormone release. You may even find that your breasts leak when this happens. Different women feel the letdown reflex in different ways. You may feel: (a) slight tingling, or pins and needles (b) immense pressure and slight pain, ache or discomfort (c) nothing at al as time goes by, and as you get used to breastfeeding, you'll probably become less and less aware of this. 2. Producing too much milksome mums who produce lots of milk have painful twinges deep in their breasts during feeds. This painful letdown reflex usually fades in the first three months of breastfeeding. If your baby latches on well each time she feeds, your milk supply should quickly settle down to match her needs. 3. Engorgement in the first few days after your baby is born, your breasts flood with milk, and more blood flows to your breasts, making the tissues swell. This may lead to your breasts becoming engorged and feeling hot and painful. The milk-producing cells in your breasts become swollen, making letdown difficult. Your breasts may also look red and shiny. This is perfectly normal. It's your body's way of making sure your new baby has plenty of milk. Once your baby starts feeding regularly, and latching on well, your breasts will regulate the amount of milk that's produced, and the discomfort should pass. If it doesn't, see your midwife, health visitor, or a breastfeeding specialist as soon as possible. 4. Mastitis if an area of your breast becomes inflamed, this can mean you have a painful condition called mastitis. It happens when excess milk is forced out of a duct and into your breast tissue. Your breast will be red and tender, and you will feel feverish. You can keep breastfeeding your baby, but see your doctor straight away for treatment. What to do 1. If your breasts are engorged, your baby may not be able to suckle fully. You may need to start with gentle hand expressing or a breast pump until your baby is able to draw your breast comfortably into her mouth. Try using warm, damp flannels on your breasts before a feed to help the milk to flow. After feeding or expressing you could use cold damp flannels, cold gel packs or cold, green or white cabbage leaves on your breasts. Cabbage leaves may reduce the swelling, though there isn't much firm evidence for this. A strong letdown from over-full breasts can also make feeding difficult. If your baby comes off your breast spluttering from too much milk, try this technique: 2. Put your baby to your breast, as usual. 3. When you feel your milk let down, gently break the suction and catch the initial spurt in a towel. 4. Let your baby latch on again when the flow slows down a bit. The more often your baby latches on well, the more quickly your supply will settle down and you will become more comfortable. If your breast pain does not go away within a few days, then meet your gynecologist to find for other causes like mastitis.

Nothing to worry , because of hormonal imbalance only you are gaining more weight and periods are irregular. Homoeopathy is the best treatment to cure this problem permanently. Spent 15-20 mins for regular walk and take bottle gourd juice along with medicines. You may consult.

Set timelines. For instance, set a 60 or 90 day timeline where you cut out one cheat that you're most susceptible too. Pick your vice?alcohol for some, sweets for others. For instance, my next sweet consumption/alcoholic drink will be on my birthday 2 months later. This works wonderfully because you have set a goal for yourself which you identify with and would like to see through.

To get pregnant you need to have fallopian tubes patent which is checked by hsg test as you had one miscarriage before. Once the above test is normal, then treatment with clomiphene citrate is started with monitoring of egg. It looks like probably you have gained weight so you might be suffering from pcod, which again can be diagnosed on sonography.

I am a women 35 years old, Can you suggest me to Which Medicine should I take to quickly ready for sex. Should I Take Spanish Fly Gold for the women, Approx How Much Time take to effect in my body ready for doing sex.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
Overall sex stamina improves by healthy lifestyle. Regular sleep, exercise and meal are the foremost things. In diet cow milk, cow butter and garlic are proven sexual tonic. Regular healthy diet containing carbohydrate, protein and minerals-vitamins is necessary. Specific diet depends on culture and geographic situation. Exercise to control your weight and make you fit. Sleep to relax your mind. All above measures help you to relive mental stress also which indirectly help to perform better. Another aspect is emotional attachment and love between partners in overall life apart from the sex. If it is good no need of any tonic, natural stamina would suffice. Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further, regards,

My periods are irregular from last 2-3 months. What should I do?

DNB (Obstetrics and Gynecology), PGDHHM, MBBS
Gynaecologist,
My periods are irregular from last 2-3 months. What should I do?
Menstrual irregularities can be caused by a variety of conditions, including pregnancy, hormonal imbalances, infections, malignancies, diseases, trauma, and certain medications. Common causes of anovulatory bleeding (absent, infrequent periods, and irregular periods) include: - adolescence - uncontrolled diabetes - eating disorders - hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism - hyperprolactinemia (an abnormally high concentration in the blood of prolactin, a protein hormone) - medications, such as antiepileptics or antipsychotics - perimenopause - polycystic ovary syndrome (pcos) - pregnancy - stress-related - eating disorders you first need to determine the cause of your irregular menstrual cycle. Seeing a doctor in person really is the most important thing you can do to get your menstrual cycle regular again! and, the standard health advice always applies: to balance your hormones and regulate your menstrual cycle, get regular exercise (but donot exercise excessively), eat a healthy diet, get the sleep your body needs, and deal with stress in healthy ways. And, if you are taking prescription medication, find out if it affects your hormones (which affects your period).

I am 30yrs &mother of two child. I am having severe pain in my left breast. What to do.

DGO, MBBS
Sexologist,
You should do ultrasound examination of breasts. Breast pain is a common problem if it occurs before periods, because it happens due to hormonal changes, however if the pain stays all through the month or if you can feel some lump/swelling then you must do ultrasound examination of breasts. For pain you can take paracetamol tablets, also wearing a well fitting bra may help.

I am an 18 year old girl. And last month, I had unprotected s**. And then I ate the" I pill" contraception. Now, it has been over a month since I've got my periods and inam worried a lot about this. I have taken the pregnancy test using the kit and it showed negative though. How else can I know that if I'm pregnant or not? And my boyfriend has used the'pull out' method too. Is it one of the effect of the pill on periods? Should I wait till January ends or should I meet a gyno now itself? I'm all confused and scared.

Very early pregnancy may show up negative with the urine pregnancy kit. To be sure, either repeat a urine test one week later with first morning voided urine or do a blood test, serum beta hcg. If either are negative, please consult a gynaecologist to find out the cause of missed periods.

The symptoms which she is suffering are not because of the pill. You did the right thing by giving her the pill in 3 hrs time as it will definitely prevent pregnancy. For loose motion she can take sporolac satchet 3 times a day if it is not that severe like 10-15 times a day.
