You need complete eye check up. You may be having ceossed eyes sldo called squint. Your condition may be corrected with glasses or some times surgery may be required. But without physical exam difficult to advice finally.

Prolonged working on laptop/tv/mobile can cause computer vision syndrome. Computer vision syndrome is a condition resulting from focusing the eyes on a computer or other display device for, uninterrupted periods of time. Some symptoms of cvs include a. Headaches b blurred vision c. Neck pain d redness in the eyes e. Eye strain f dry eyes these symptoms can be further aggravated by improper lighting conditions. Measures to reduce this include 1. Work under proper light. 2. Blink a lot. 3. Cold compresses 4. Use good lubricating eyedrop. Mobile use will not affect your eye sight.

To cure this problem you require to know the cause of photophobia----------- 1. People with a lighter eye color may experience more light sensitivity in environments such as bright sunlight, because darker-colored eyes contain more pigment to protect against harsh lighting. 2. Certain eye problemss like corneal abrasion, uveitis and a central nervous system disorder such as meningitis can cause photophobia. 3. Light sensitivity also is associated with a detached retina, contact lens irritations, sunburn and refractive surgery. 4. Photophobia often accompanies albinism (lack of eye pigment), total color deficiency (seeing only in shades of gray), botulism, rabies, mercury poisoning, conjunctivitis, keratitis and iritis. 5. Certain rare diseases, such as the genetic disorder keratosis follicularis spinulosa decalvans (kfsd), are reported to cause photophobia. 6. Some medications may cause light sensitivity as a side effect, including belladonna, furosemide, quinine, tetracycline and doxycycline. Treatment 1. The best treatment for light sensitivity is to treat the underlying cause as described above. Once the triggering factor is treated, photophobia disappears in many cases. 2. If you are taking a medication that causes light sensitivity, talk to your doctor about discontinuing or replacing the drug. 3. If you're naturally sensitive to light, avoid bright sunlight and other harsh lighting sources. Wear wide-brimmed hats and sunglasses with ultraviolet (uv) protection. 4. Photochromic lenses are another solution for mild sun sensitivity. These lenses darken automatically outdoors and block 100 percent of the sun's uv rays. 5. For bright sunlight, consider polarized sunglasses. These sun lenses provide extra protection against glare-causing reflections of light from water, sand, snow, concrete roadways and other reflective surfaces. 6. In an extreme case, you may consider wearing prosthetic contact lenses that are specially colored to look like your own eyes. Prosthetic contact lenses can reduce the amount of light that enters theeye and make your eyes more comfortable.

Dear lybrate-user:- as per your complaints, you r suffering from lower eye lid bagginess be with refractive error. Following treatment is being recommended to you take regullar aerobic exercises, green vegetables, coloured fruits, plenty of water. Laughing is good medicine & it straches the underlined lower lid skin, subside the bagginess. Es problems.

Eye Health - Exercises To Improve It!

There are many common measures people take to improve their eyesight or to improve their vision, including wearing glasses, lenses, and many more. Here are some effective exercises, which can prove to be highly beneficial to improve your eye health:

1. Stretching
This is the most common and also one of the easiest to do. It requires you to just look up, hold for two seconds, look down, hold for two seconds and then repeat this procedure for each corner of your eye, which means top-left, top-right, bottom-left and bottom-right corners.

2. Flexing
This is simply rotating your eyes in circles. Roll your eyes in the clockwise direction for one minute and then roll your eyes in the anticlockwise direction for one minute.

3. Focus switching
This particular eye exercise is probably the most useful one to improve eye health. In this eye exercise, you have to hold something at a reading distance and cover the other eye. You then have to find something that is at least twenty feet away and trace its shape with one eye closed. With one eye closed, trace more shapes, which are twenty feet away.

4. Palming
This exercise is also very simple to perform. All you have to do is cover your eyes with your palms. Once you have done this, just wait and see that there are no bright flashes of light. If you see that there is a bright flash of light, just wait till they go. This is used primarily to distress the eyes.

5. Deep blinking
This is also an incredibly useful exercise for distance vision. What you have to do is to place some large letters are at a fair distance and then sit on a chair. You have to then close your eyes and tighten all your muscles for 5 seconds. After 5 seconds are over, you have to open your eyes and then you have to see the letters for a second or two. The more number of times you do this, the more clearly you will be able to see the letters after reopening your eyes. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an Ophthalmologist.

There is no medication or food for improving eyesight or to get rid of glasses. If not interested in glasses then you can try a. Contact lens b. Lasik laser as your age is now 29 years so your number will not increase now whether you wear glasses or not as number becomes stable at age of 18-20 yrs. Having said that I advise you to eat balanced diet including green vegetables and seasonal fruits for keeping eyes and body healthy. As you are not comfortable with contact lens then go for lasik. Lasik is a very easy and painless procedure. If you want to get rid of glasses then go for lasik.

Hi doctor I have problems in right eye form birth, I've 3 independent problems : 1. Squint 2. Nystagmus 3. Birth Blindness (black shadow.Object image created on null point ) I just need to know is there any solution for 3rd problem. Because till now I already visit many doctors but they said that "there is not any operation and solution for 3rd problem.

What you were already told is true. However, you may not give up completely. Research is going on constantly in search of better treatments. If you wish, you can volunteer in such research programs at major eye institutes. LV Prasad Eye Institute at Hyderabad is an example. You may contact them and see if you can benefit.

Hello lybrate-user. Let me enumerate the don'ts first: (1) don't lift weights (weight more than 5 kg as a rule). (2) don't do heavy breathing exercise such as pranayam. (3) don't take alcohol, cigarette smoking, tobacco chewing. (4) don't rub the eyes with fingers, handkerchief, cloth, etc (5) don't take over head bath for 2 weeks (6) don't allow dust to enter eyes (7) don't drive vehicles for a month (8) don't strain at stools (9) don't cough, sneeze heavily. In case he has a cold, promptly take medication (10) don't bend or stoop for at least a month. (11) don't play ball sports for at least 3 months. Now let me enumerate the do's (a) do take the eye drops as prescribed by your doctor (b) do eat light food (c) do wear protective glasses when going out in dust or bright sunlight (d) do go for the regular check ups as advised by the doctor. Follow 20-20-20 rule. Ie every 20 minutes -for 20 seconds -look beyond a distance of 20 feet. Also do some eye exercises. Rotation -clockwise, anticlockwise, to and fro up down and left to right and lastly pencil pushup. Focus on an alphabet printed on pen or pencil n slowly bring pen closer to your nose keeping that alphabet clear. Yes you can use plain glasses or glasses with anti reflective coating.

As per your complaints, you r suffering from traumatic iridodilysis in your injured eye. Following assault in eye surgery should be immidiately completed. Through eye examination is needed to decide surgery in old case. Visual prognosis is depending on present condition of eye.

My 12 year old son have a frequent problem of dry eyes for last few years . Whenever climate changes he had this problem of abnormal blinking of eyes. You are suffering from high myopia. High myopia is degenerative condition which can cause various changes in retina. There is no proven role of medicine or food i'm improving it. Wearing uv protective glasses prevents eye of harmful rays. Eating fruits, green vegetables and fish may help, but no proven role in improving or protecting eye.

Hello eye colour is dependent on pigment in iris. Less pigment: light coloured heavy pigmnetation: dark coloured more is pigmentation better it is.

. Eat a Small Dinner - This is a huge deal and so easy. While a big meal before bed can keep your digestion working for hours, a small meal puts only a light demand on your body and allows it to rest much more fully. Sara and I actually have got it down to a large, fresh vegetable juice in the evening. That's all. You sleep better, AND you stay trim. :-) 2. Avoid Alcohol - While a great way to FALL asleep, all those fun drinks, like wine and beer, etc, will ruin a good nights' sleep by causing dehydration (among other things). They make me wake up in the middle of the night with a powerful, uncomfortable thirst, and I'm often very hot as well. And then there's that occasional hangover, which sucks. Want to sleep really well? Skip the fun drinks in the evening (we skip on weeknights). 3. Unwind Your Mind - Like your body, your mind can be over stimulated and make it hard to get a really good night's rest. When I have a stressful day at work I make an effort to not work or look at email after dinner. Computers and work stuff can really wind me up. Instead, I'll take a hot bath and read a book, both of which totally take my mind off the day. 4. Three Nights in a Row is the Magic Number - Sleep is cumulative, so don't expect a really good night's sleep on your first night. You need at least two nights and preferably three to get into a really good groove and bank some deep rest. We stick to these tips most Mondays through Thursdays and that's when it really gets good. ---------- 5. Exercise Helps - Being physically tired really contributes to a good night's sleep and that doesn't happen to most of us who work in offices these days - remember when you were a kid, ran around all day and collapsed at night? Having daily exercise as a part of your routine contributes strongly to your body relaxing at night. 6. Avoid Caffeine - Not having coffee or tea at night seems obvious, right? But as a chocolate lover, I've also learned to wean myself off of chocolate for dessert when I want a good night's sleep. In general, stimulants are NOT your friend when looking for a great night's sleep. 7. Unwind Your Body - I already recommended a hot bath for helping to unwind in the evening as the heat and water is very relaxing for the skin and muscles. If you don't have a bath or that much time, just having a shower and giving your body and hair a good scrub is excellently relaxing. Pair that with moisturizing any dry skin and jumping into fresh, clean sheets and you're golden. ---------- 8. Keep Bedtime & Rising Time Regular - Our mind and body organism thrives on comfortable, regular routine, and I find it much easier to fall asleep and wake happily when the times are consistent. Even if your evening time changes, try to keep your rising time consistent. This way your body always will know when to wake and you'll avoid that feeling of having gotten up "on the wrong side of the bed." I now barely need to set an alarm, because my body always wants to wake at 6am. 9. Drink Water - We all lose a lot of water while sleeping at night, so that keeping yourself well hydrated really helps your body to rest comfortably. If you have a night out and drink alcohol, a lot of water before bed really helps, but even on a "dry" night, keep your water intake up (but not too much so that you have to wake and pee!). 10. Light Matters, Noise Not So Much - Light is a much bigger disruptor of sleep than noise. Electric lights outside your window (or in your room) AND the sunrise will trigger waking mechanisms in the body, so keeping your windows well covered and eliminating any other ambient light is necessary to ensure a good rest. Some of you may be wondering why I left out "8 Hours a Night is Crucial"? My experience is that people have widely varying needs for hours of sleep and that some can do really well with less than others. We go to sleep on most night between 10 and 11pm and our alarm always goes off at 6am, and 7-8 hours is probably a good place to start, but I'd leave this up to you to experiment with. Some of my great night's sleep have been much longer, and some much shorter.

Dear lybrate user, take homoeopathic mother tincture acid phos q, 30 drops, thrice daily, after meals in a cup of water. Try to get a un-interrupted sleep of 8 hours daily. Drink a lots of water daily. If you have a habit of masturbation then you should not masturbate for more than twice in a week. Abstain from any type of addiction if you have any.

Unfortunately there are no natural medications to remove spectacles permanently. You can either try contact lenses or plan for refractive lasik laser surgery (after 18 years of age)
