Hello Lybrate-user- Yes low haemoglobin results in irregular or delayed menses. The delay ranges from 5-10 days generally. Take diet rich in iron and folic acid and maintain a healthy sleep schedule.

I-PILL can cause irregular periods if taken frequently. The commonest cause of irregular periods is PCOS. Best is to get a Pelvic USG done and a hormonal assay and consider low dose oral contraceptive pills that will help in regularising periods as well as prevent any unwanted pregnancy.

My girlfriend wants me to have sex with her. I have a fear that something gonna happen to her what to do? And her nipples go semi erected when I touch her.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology

Nipple erection when you touch her her a normal response. If you have sex, she can get pregnant, which can be prevented by use of condom or i-pill asap after the sex. Correct use of condom is important.

HELLO, if pregnancy test is negative then you are not pregnant for sure. The menses may be delayed by a month or so after miscarriage in many women. Just practice barrier contraception till you get your menses.

Hi mam the white discharge that you are talking about is called leucorhea. It is not a disease but a sympton of any underlying infection. Also irregular menses may be an effect of hormonal imbalance. First thing you need to do is get your ultrasonology done. Then post the report and this problem can be fixes with homeopathic medicinces safely. Regards.

It's better if you use condoms during intercourse. Takin I pill is not safe everytime. It wil affect her cycles and chances of ectopic pregnancy are high and if you both r gonna hv regular intercourse let her have oc pills.

Was the abortion medically by tablets or d&c was done. Get an usg pelvis done for your wife and cbc. If the reports are fine then no need to worry, it may take time to conceive after miscarriage, after a miscarriage your body needs time to recover and get back to normal. It's totally normal to take 6-12 months to conceive after a miscarriage no matter how fertile you are. It doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you and you're not doing anything wrong. So without worrying follow healthy routine and diet.

All kind of fruits can be eaten during pregnancy including papaya and pinapple, contrary to the general belief. All fruits provide good amount of fibre and vitamins. Vegetables also specially green leafy vegetables which provides folic acis and fibre. Along with tat full glass of milk twice a day will supplement calcium and most important is protein diet which will be supplied via nonveg or pulses or mushroom. No food causes abortion.

Healthy Pregnancy Tip # 3:

Lactation Consultant, Childbirth Educator, MHA, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

Healthy Pregnancy Tip # 3:
Eat well. By this, it does not mean that you binge on everything that you find edible. Eating well in pregnancy means that you should include a variety of foods in your daily diet. Make your plate look colourful by adding a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables to it. Have a good amount of protein in your diet. Vegetarians can get their proteins from pulses, green peas, nuts & peanut butter, beans, chickpeas, tofu, and leafy greens. Those who are non vegetarian should include eggs, fish and chicken breast in their food. Don't forget to have plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.
Most pregnant women get the advice that they should eat for two in pregnancy. Is that true? well, yes and no! yes, because the dietary requirement of a pregnant woman increases in pregnancy. A pregnant woman needs approximately 300 calories more than a non-pregnant woman daily. And no, because eating for two doesn't mean eating for two adults. One has to take into account that the second person that one is eating for is very tiny compared to an adult, and therefore an extra 300 calories are all that you need to add to your daily diet during pregnancy.
