Haldi: Turmeric the Ultimate Spice

Haldi: Turmeric the Ultimate Spice

Turmeric or haldi is one of the main spices in an Indian kitchen. Not just India, but in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, turmeric has been a favored spice for thousands of years. Ayurveda has long espoused the benefits of turmeric and that is one of the reasons why many Indian home remedies tend to have this spice in them.

Some of the reasons why turmeric is considered an ultimate spice are mentioned below:

  1. Has very effective anti-inflammatory powers: For any kind of inflammation related pain, turmeric is known to be very effective. Be it muscle pains or skin related problems, turmeric used with other mixtures have often been applied to the affected areas. Turmeric in the diet also has similar anti-inflammatory effects.
  2. Prevention of cancer: Turmeric contains the enzyme curcumin, which blocks the growth of cancer cells, especially head and neck cancer varieties. It stops the spread of malignant cells within the mouth when chewed and if used in a controlled manner within one's diet, prevents the growth of malignant cells in the first place.
  3. It has antioxidant properties: Studies have shown that turmeric in the diet as well as curcumin, the primary enzyme within this spice, are very effective in detoxifying the system. It is especially good in cleansing free radicals that may contribute to various cancers, such as skin, colon or prostate cancer.
  4. Pain relief in arthritis and osteoarthritis: Connected to the anti-inflammatory properties mentioned above, turmeric is known to be very effective in relieving arthritic pain. It is even known to have worked as a pain reliever in the case of osteoarthritis, when it was used as an extract.
  5. Prevention of plaque buildup and thus lowering chances of heart disease: Plaque is the sediment that may build up within the arteries and thus results in its clogging. This is the single largest cause of heart attacks. The enzyme within turmeric, curcumin, is an effective agent in cleaning the arteries and thus preventing heart diseases.
  6. Aids digestions and resolves many digestive problems: In small amounts, turmeric in the raw form is very good for the digestive system as it stimulates the production of bile. Research has shown that people who suffer from IBS or irritable bowel syndrome may also benefit from the use of this spice. Apart from this, even gas or bloating and an upset stomach can be cured by ingesting small amounts of turmeric.

You have not been eating healthy or exercising since your early teen years. The next indication of your unhealthy ways will be hair-fall. Your diet must include fresh fruits and a full serving of salads at every meal: cucumber, tomato, carrot, radish, onion slices or spring onion, raw cauliflower, cabbage leaf, etc. All this is essential. Cut out any junk food and aerated drinks totally. Generally foods that come out of a packet, can, or bottle shud be avoided. Exercise to increase circulation:- 2 mins of hard exercise then 1 min rest - do this four times a day. You can either do it all in one go or split it into sessions through the day. In total it is only 12 mins a day so should not be a big issue. In short, live and eat healthy and you will develop energy, a glowing skin and a'go' in life -regardless of age. Then and only then will medicines help you in a magical way.

You are not dying but you are killing yourself emotionally by obsessing about HIV. There is a gestation period of nearly 6 months when it can be identified as to whether you have HIV or its disease state called AIDS. In the meantime, keep a healthy regimen of exercise, good eating habits, and adequate rest. If you obsess to this extent, you could actually give yourself a lot of symptoms by autosuggestion. Go meet a counselor and talk about all your concerns and get some professional help to stop this obsession.

Im a 22 old girl. I hv a heavy breast. Im looking ugly. How can I get 28 size breast as soon as possible.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology, MBBS
Gynaecologist,
Im a 22 old girl. I hv a heavy breast. Im looking ugly. How can I get 28 size breast as soon as possible.
Breast anatomy shows that most of it is fat based and the bulk is formed by fatty tissue in those who have large breasts. In your case, you are having adequate weight and for your height it is ok. Size of the breast are not a hindrance to any function. So why be fixated at achieving a size 28 breasts? even if your breasts appear large now, after a while when you reach 30s etc your breasts may match the weight gain which you will have following growth, pregnancy etc. Looks do not matter, cleanliness, confidence does. There are many bollywood actors and actresses who are not good looking, but their acting makes them give super performance. So stop worrying about your looks and breasts. Concentrate on what you want to be, go for that goal and make efforts to achieve it. The confidence that you exude after this accomplishment is what will make you look appealing. If you and your family are very much concerned about your appearance and breasts, you can seek help of beauticians and also if required of plastic surgery doctors who can operate and reduce a bulky breasts, but then the scar does remain. Remember change is the hallmark of life and your body even if" modified" by any means will again change and thus what matters more are the accomplishments which do not change.

At these age, the most common cause of lump in the breast is fibroadenoma which is a benign tumor. However you should get examined physically by a doctor and if necessary an fnac should be performed before jumping to any conclusion.

it may be serious and may be problems in got pregnancy .pl. take Foods to Eat Nutrient-rich foods that improve your health may also benefit your thyroid gland, including: Antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables: Blueberries, tomatoes, bell peppers, and other foods rich in antioxidants can improve overall health and benefit the thyroid gland. Eating foods high in B vitamins, like whole grains, may also help. Selenium: Tiny amounts of selenium are needed for enzymes that make thyroid hormones to work properly. Eating selenium-rich foods, such as sunflower seeds or Brazil nuts, can be beneficial. Tyrosine: This amino acid is used by the thyroid gland to produce T3 and T4. Taking a supplement may help, but ask your doctor beforehand.
