Hi I had c- section delivery first time. Now I am in my 6th month pregnancy second time. I have difference of 3 years between two pregnancies. Is there chance of getting normal delivery now.

Hi I had c- section delivery first time. Now I am in my 6th month pregnancy second time. I have difference of 3 years...
Ms. lybrate-user, its very important to know what was the reason c-section was done in 1st pregnancy. Because any reason can re occur in this pregnancy also. If you get into labour naturally a the right time and progress is good the normal delivery can be awaited. But during labour if some problem were to arise than we have to proceed to c-section.

I am 25 years old, now I convinced, I eat lots of guavas with salt before pregnancy and my question is now I am in 4 ...
Dear lybrate-user, Yes, it is healthy to eat guava during pregnancy. In fact, it is very healthy for women during early stages of pregnancy till late-pregnancy. It is also highly recommended. Guava helps in regulating blood sugar, maintain blood pressure, controls blood cholesterol, has iron. It also helps to reduce constipation, is a muscle & nerve relaxant, increases immunity, has folic acid that prevents neural tube defects, has calcium which is very important, prevents anemia. It helps in Fetal Development & also digestion. It Improves Immunity Immunity in pregnant woman is very important as it helps her to fight with various diseases. Guava is rich in vitamin C which boosts and strengthens the immunity. Maintains Blood Pressure Pregnant ladies are more susceptible to high blood pressure. This can create complications during pregnancy. Eating one ripe guava daily by pregnant women helps to control high blood pressure. This is one of the best health benefits of guava during pregnancy. Nervous Systems In Babies Folic acid is very important for the brain and nervous system development of babies. Guava is rich in folic acid and must be taken during pregnancy to benefit the baby.

Ways to Cope with Grief and Loss

Psychologist, Calicut
Ways to Cope with Grief and Loss

Every person faces ups and downs in life, the difference lies in how we deal with the low points of our life. Losing someone you love is probably the saddest experience anyone can go through. Our natural reaction to such a loss is grief. The more significant the loss; the more intense your grief will be. There is no right or wrong way to grieve and everyone grieves in a different way.

However, here are a few healthy ways you can cope with your loss to move on with your life.

1. Build a support system: When you are grieving, you may feel that nobody understands how you feel and would want to isolate yourself. Do not allow yourself to withdraw into a shell and instead build a support system of friends and family who you trust. You could also visit a counselor who is trained to deal with such situations. Joining a support group can also help.

2. Face your grief: Not allowing yourself to grieve can do more harm than good. You can suppress your grief for a short time but you cannot avoid it forever. The longer you avoid facing it, the more difficult it will be. Suppressing grief can also lead to a number of health problems such as depression, substance abuse and anxiety.

3. Look after your health: When grieving for the loss of a loved one, you may not feel hungry and may want to simply lie in bed all day. But you must instead get out, eat right and exercise regularly. When the body is healthy, you not only feel better physically but also emotionally. Avoid turning to alcohol and drugs to lift your mood.

4. Express yourself: Bottling up your emotions is never a good idea. However, sometimes talking about how you feel can be difficult. In such situations, look for alternate means of expressing yourself. For examples, you could try painting or start a scrapbook.

5. Look out for grief triggers: What makes coping with the loss of a loved one difficult is the fact that you share a number of life events with them. Birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and festive occasions can bring back memories of the person and overwhelm you. To successfully heal, you must plan ahead for events like this that will trigger grief. Do not allow yourself to be alone at such times.

6. Seek professional help: Sometimes, when you are dealing with the loss of a loved one, you find yourself sinking into depression or find it difficult to resume your normal lifestyle. It is a good idea to  consult a mental health practitioner or counselor.

How To Prevent Sagging of Breasts?

How To Prevent Sagging of Breasts?

How to prevent sagging of breasts?

Home remedies for sagging breasts

Breast sagging is a natural process that happens with age wherein the breasts lose their suppleness and elasticity. Breasts do not have muscle. They are made of fat, connective tissues and milk-producing glands, and they need proper care to keep them in good shape.

Yoga

The benefits of yoga for the entire body have been widely studied, and it is primarily a mechanism of toning the body and increasing flexibility. Some of that toning can occur within the breast, depending on which positions you commonly practice.

Massage

Massage your breasts at least 2-3 times per week with olive oil. It will help add firmness to the skin as well as improve the skin tone and texture. It will also tone your chest and increase the elasticity of the skin.

Pomegranate

Pomegranate is considered a wonderful anti-aging ingredient and can help prevent sagging breasts. Pomegranate seed oil is rich in phyto-nutrients that can lead to firm breasts.

Make a paste of pomegranate peel and some warm mustard oil. Use it to massage your breasts in a circular motion for 5 to 10 minutes daily before going to bed.
You can also use pomegranate seed oil to massage your breasts 2 or 3 times daily.
Another option is to mix 4 teaspoons of neem oil with 1 teaspoon of dried and powdered pomegranate rind. Heat this mixture for a few minutes. Allow it to cool and then use it to massage your breasts twice daily for several weeks.

Avoid loose fitting bra / wrong bra size

Some women feel that they would feel comfortable if they wear loose bra. But this is totally a wrong step. You are going to invite your saggy breast by doing this. Avoid this and go for the best fitting bra to keep your breast stay upright and firm. For more details visit us at www.malhotraayurveda.in

Procrastination - 5 Ways You Can Beat It!

Procrastination - 5 Ways You Can Beat It!

The activity of delaying or putting off something is known as procrastination. Even the best individuals battle with it consistently. However, some people accomplish something that the majority of us do not- they push past it. They do not permit it to influence their work. They develop brilliant and beneficial techniques to break past mental obstructions and remain productive. Here are a few ways with which you can beat procrastination:

  1. Try to start: Starting something can be very difficult. However, in case that you can get over that part, you will have some level of energy. Even your brain will probably goad you to continue dealing with the task. This happens because of a mental phenomenon called the Zeigarnik impact. It says that unfinished tasks will probably stay in your memory. This is exactly why planned things and to-do lists consistently appear in your mind until you finish them.
  2. Separate huge tasks into smaller assignments: Enormous tasks can frighten you, so you put them off. By taking that huge task and separating it into smaller assignments, you can decrease your burden make a start. This could include concentrating on one part of the research to begin with.
  3. Ask yourself “why?”: It is easier to inspire yourself to accomplish something you value. In case you are attempting to complete something, why not spend a couple of minutes asking yourself precisely why you need to do it and why it is so important to you. Weighing out the positives and negatives of the task and its benefits for you, can make you decide and perform better.
  4. Attempt to take a break: For those who procrastinate out of having worked too much, it does not mean you have to complete the task at once. This is known as the "sunk cost bias." The "sunk cost bias" influences players, speculators, and even a procrastinator. They feel that the task will need to be completed now and cannot be completed in the future. In some cases, a task simply does not mean you have to work on it more and more after hours.
  5. Go easy on yourself: To beat procrastination, you should be strict with yourself. However, that is not what science says. In case that you have procrastinated till now, you will probably begin on time going ahead. You need to show yourself some sympathy for your previous laziness instead of thrashing yourself about it.

Self-control is an important quality many successful individuals have. Having self-control permits you to carefully understand why you are procrastinating and can likewise, work towards it. When you understand why you are doing so, it will be easier for you to make a plan to beat it. This will allow you to see the underlying cause of your problem as well.

If it is water retention due to hormones, take less salt and more of citrus fruits like oranges, lemons etc. Drink lots of water so that extra water gets out of system. If you feel there is a lump, get ultrasound of breast done and write to us the report for more guidance.
