My issue is that I'll have head ache usually. I can't concentrate on my studies. Pls help me out with this problem.
It is probably that you take a lot of stress while studying. I will advise to take small breaks after every 45 mins for 5-10 min for your mind relaxation during which you can do some stretching exercises also. Maintain a good hydration by having lots of liquids. Hope this helps. Anything more then feel free to revert.

Do's and don'ts for PCOS Diet

I am Dr. Nishith Chandra director interventional cardiologist at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute New Delhi. I am here in this institute for last 22 years. Today we will discuss how to prevent a future heart attack or if a person has had a heart attack in the past then how he should and what he should do in his routine life to reduce the occurrence of a future heart attack or a repeat heart attack. For heart attack, there are certain risk factors which a person has to modify. These risk factors some of them are modifiable and some of them are non-modifiable so the modifiable risk factors are which he should reduce, he should change is – exercise, he has to do active exercise for at least 30 minutes every day and in those 30 minutes he has to run for about or walk for about three kilometers and this should be at a brisk pace.

He should not be sedentary, nowadays even they call that sitting is the new smoking, that means sitting is as dangerous as smoking. For every 20 minutes of sitting, you must get up walk for five minutes and then start doing your job. This is especially applicable to computer executives who sit at the computer, hunched on a computer for a very very long time. Then in addition to exercise, they should stop smoking. Now smoking is one very dangerous habit which increases the risk of heart attack and especially in younger patients, so but the person should not smoke or use tobacco products if he is having difficulty in smoking then there are multiple ways that doctor can help him quitting this habit, then there are certain drugs also are nicotine gums he can take help of or they are smoking groups which helped us in quitting the habit by group discussion.

Then the third most important component in preventing a future heart attack is the diet, the person has to take diet which is rich in fruits vegetables vitamins minerals and much less in fat, especially saturated fats and carbohydrates, saturated fats are like butter, ghee, margarine these are saturated fat. This they should avoid and the person should take if he has to take oils to a minimum and that too refined oils. So and this is the third component. The fourth component is if the patient is having more weight or his obese then he should attain an ideal body weight, ideal body weight can be easily calculated by calculating the body mass index the body mass index, should be less than 25, so if it is more than 25 then the person should try to reduce his body weight by exercising, reducing diet, reducing calorie intake.

The last thing is that he has to control his stress levels if the stress levels are high then the person is having an extra risk of heart attack. How to reduce stress levels, the best way to reduce stress level is to join some yoga group and meditation, and the practice of mindfulness. The practice of mindfulness is very very important for stress reduction.

If you want to consult me then you can consult me either at Lybrate or you can come to my clinic at Fortis escorts heart institute new Delhi or my clinic at sector 93a expressway Noida. Thank you!

For the past three months now The major symptoms I have are weakness, fatigue, fever and headache, with fatigue and weakness being the most prominent. This has affected my work self I have done several tests and the results usually show malaria and typhoid. At a point and even currently there is no longer any malaria. But typhoid still shows on all my WIDAL tests results. I have taken virtually all typhoid drugs and none seems to alleviate my problems. In fact it gets worse once I start taking any of them. It was that bad, at a point it was counselled that I do other tests to exclude the possibility of other things. The following tests were done viz. HIV - (have done like 4 of it at different times), NEGATIVE.

I cannot see from which place you are but in endemic places (where Diseases is common in the population) for typhoid, WIDAL test is considered positive only if the O antigen and H antigen Titres are more than 1: 160 or 1: 320. It doesn't seem that you have Malaria or Typhoid. If fever still persists, you'll need more detailed assessment nonetheless.

Hello, We all get exposed to the same environment, but all of us doesn't get affected by it! Why - because of different immune system. So, if a person has a strong immune system, we are protected from the attack of any virus or bacteria! A healthy, nutritious and balanced diet along with exercise will give you that. A healthy and strong immune system prevents us getting any diseases even a simple cough and cold. So, to build up a strong immunity, you need to alter few changes in your daily routine. If you don't have any underlying medical condition, you can follow the below points for healthy living. The diet plays an important role in making our immune system stronger: 1. Get enough protein. You can get protein from meat, dairy, eggs and vegetables. 2. Avoid saturated fats, but eat plenty of unsaturated fats. These" good fats" are found in corn, sesame, safflower, soybean, and cottonseed oils. 3. Eat limited amounts of carbohydrates. Consuming appropriate amounts of wheat, corn, and cereals helps to create the energy required for the body to produce white blood cells. 4. There are a number of particular foods that can help to boost-up your immunity. These include: Garlic, Almonds, Kale, Navy beans, Reishi mushrooms, Blueberries and raspberries, Yogurt, Green, Matcha, and Tulsi teas. 4. Eat antioxidants. Antioxidants are vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that help repair damaged cells in the body. Examples of antioxidants are Beta Carotene (apricots, broccoli, beets, spinach, green peppers, tomatoes, corn, and carrots), Vitamins C (berries, broccoli, nectarines, oranges, strawberries, bell peppers, tomatoes, and cauliflower) and E (broccoli, carrots, nuts, papaya, spinach, and sunflower seeds), Zinc (oysters, red meat, beans, nuts, and seafood), and Selenium. 5. Vitamin A is also an antioxidant, and helps your immune system to function more efficiently. In addition to supplements, you can get vitamin A from carrots, tomatoes, chilis, and squash. 6. Echinacea, ginseng, aloe vera, and green tea are all said to boost your white blood cell count. 7. Exercise regularly. Getting enough exercise improves your cardiovascular health, and greatly reduces the likelihood of certain chronic diseases. Exercise increases the flow of blood through different parts of the body, and it increases the body's excretion of harmful metabolites, helping your immune system function properly. So run, bike, swim, walk -- whatever gets you moving! 8. Stop smoking and Limit alcohol consumption. 9. You should drink 8 glasses of water every day. 10. Sufficient deep sleep also helps the cells replenish and regenerate and is therefore necessary if you want to maintain a healthy immune system. Medication: Take Schwabe’s Alpha-WD/ twice daily for 1month.

Hello Sir, I am a 28 years old female suffering from acute neck and back pain from last 4 years. I have gone through several MRI’s and - which shows cervical disc bulges and degeneration in lumbar and thoracic spine. All my blood tests for HLA B-27, RA factor, Anti CCP, CRP, ENA profile comes out to be negative. Also, physiotherapy does not help at all. Last year, I started feeling pain in lower back which showed annular tear at L5-S1. I was put on pain killers and tryptomer, nortriptyline several times in these 4-5 years. They gave me just temporary relief. My whole back pains a lot and I too feel severe morning stiffness and last year I had a viral fever after that I started getting pain and numbness in hands and feet. Before that I was not having any problem and stiffness in my hands and feet. I checked with a number of doctors who are unable to diagnose the exact reason of my problem. Also, by god grace for the past 3-4 months after a period of break from office and some ayurvedic medicines I was completely relieved from pain and stiffness. I was leading an active life from February 2017-April 2017 without any painkillers and any other allopathic medicines. But suddenly from past 10 days I started feeling acute pain in whole body, back and lower back, hips. 3 months without any medicine and pain and again I am suffering with so much pain and stiffness that I am not able to do daily activities. All the doctors I visited including a known rheumatologist in Delhi saw my reports, MRI etc few months back ruled out any big disease like RA, AS etc. But now pain has come after 3-4 months and this time my lower back, and hips are hurting too much. Please seek your advice as my marriage is getting fixed soon. Last year also, my marriage got cancelled due to the pain and uncertainty that what it could be and again this is happening. Please help.

Hi, Good that the arthritis is ruled out through lab investigation reports. The pain appears could be due to soft tissue damages like muscle stress, myalgia. Further the muscle spasm at the level of spine may cause pressure to tissues in between lead to IVDP kind of situation. Confirm you are not over weight and do regular soft exercises like walking 3 kilometers in 30 minutes at a stretch. Myalgia may caused due to mental stress, dehydration, cold exposure, wrong postures and few deficiencies of Vitamine D or B12. The cramps may aggravate during menstrual periods. Ayurveda treatments like oil application, navarakizhi etc are very helpful.
