I have a back pain from last 3 years, I consulted with physician but no result found. Every day I woke up with pain. Pls give me the best advice on this painful problem.

Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: -while sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -find a mattress with back support. A good mattress should provide support for the natural curves and alignment of the spine. Medium-firm mattresses usually provide more back pain relief than firm mattresses. -do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back -avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time -stretching and strengthening exercises are important. --a full history of your problem should be taken and your movements assessed by a physiotherapist. Please consult a physiotherapist for the same.

A winged scapula is associated with damage or a contusion to the long thoracic nerve of the shoulder and / or weakness in the Serratus Anterior muscle. If the long thoracic nerve is damaged or bruised it can cause paralysis of the serratus anterior muscle and winging of the scapular or shoulder blade. Treatment for Winged Scapula or Scapular Winging •Conservative Treatment for Winged Scapula or Scapular Winging- Application of ice may be helpful to reduce pain associated with Winged Scapula or Scapular Winging, although it is a very difficult endeavor as it is a very tough place to apply ice. Cold application works better than warm or heat treatment for Winged Scapula or Scapular Winging. •Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation for Winged Scapula or Scapular Winging- Strengthening of weak muscle and retraining of normal predominant muscle can reduce the deformity and pain. •Surgical Treatment- The long thoracic nerve is repositioned surgically if entrapped in scar tissue or pinched following injury or trauma. 1 •Strengthening is definitely required for the Serratus Anterior Muscle.

Doctor my knee make cracking sound while folding does this worrying issue n how to stop it.
Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

My lower right calf muscle cramps every time I go for a run. The pain is significant and I can't run and my right leg feels heavy. I do not want to stop walking since I've been making this into a habit.

My lower right calf muscle cramps every time I go for a run. The pain is significant and I can't run and my right leg...
It might be due to less salt in the blood that might be the reason for you to have cramp during the activity. Take good diet which will help to have good muscle bulk and strength, do some warm up exercises before going for walking or running.

If I run faster then my legs will pain, what to do for without paining I have to travel more distance?

FIPP, MD, MBBS
Pain Management Specialist, Ahmedabad
If I run faster then my legs will pain, what to do for without paining I have to travel more distance?
Pain on running fast will cause pain if you are not doing it everyday. Any exertion more than your capacity is going to cause pain. Try to increase your running speed gradually over days. If you need to travel long distance, manage your time so that you do not need to run fast. And for the pain you can do hot compresses, will cause pain relief.
