I think you are already into the path of recovery.Admitting to addiction and then leaving this addiction at your age is not an easy job.It itself shows that you are determined in your life and wants to move forward in life.This time is very important to you and just hold your nerves and think in positive way.Be optimistic and follow below given steps in your life and forget about such addictions as these addictions will lead you into darkness------------------------------ 1.First of all try to enjoy or find enjoymnt in what you are doing because if we dont enjoy our work we will find excuses and moreover we will exhaut early. 2.Daily morning 15 minutes each ALOM VILOM PRANAYAAM and KAPAL BHATI PRANAYAM 3.Eat healthy/Balanced diet and avoid fried,junk and oily food,avoid overeating Balanced Diet= 60% Carbohydrates + 20% Fats + 20% Proteins (A)Carbohydrates: Our main source of energy. Stored in liver and muscles. Carbohydrates are used the most by our body duringexercise. Hence, it is important for people who exercise regularly to consume a diet rich in carbohydrates. (a) Instant/rapid carbohydrates energy sources: Banana, Milk, Sweets, Sugarcane juice. (b) Slow carbohydrates energy sources: Beans, Bread, Cereals, Potato, Pulses, Rice. (B) Proteins: Essential for growth, repair of muscle, skin, hair and body tissues. Protein deficiency leads to low immunity, hairfall, feeling of tiredness. Proteins are not stored in our body as any excess protein is converted to energy or fat. Hence, a person requires protein intake every day. When the body does not get enough carbohydrates to fuel itself, it falls back on protein bank. That is why people who follow starvation diets or go on fasting lose muscle tissue. (a) Major protein sources: Egg white(white portion), Milk, Soybeans/Soymilk, Fish, Cheese, Tofu. (b) Other protein sources: Beans with wheat, Nuts, Curd, Yogurt (Dahi). (C) Fats: Required and healthy when taken in small amounts. Excess fat leads to weight gain, increase in bad cholesterol (LDL) and heartproblems (a) Major fats sources: Egg yolk (Yellow portion), Avocados, Whole Milk, Butter, Cheese, Nuts. (b) Other fats sources: Corn, Vegetable/Olive oil, Biscuits, Flaxseeds(San Beej). (D) Vitamins and Minerals: Critical for normal functioning of organs and processes within our body. They do not provide energy directly but work behind the scenes to break down food into energy. (E) Fiber: It helps retain water and in making our stools softer to avoid constipation. Intake should be 25 to 35 grams a day. (F) Calories: A measure of how much energy food or drink contains. On an average, a man needs around 2,000 calories a day and a woman 1700 calories a day to maintain his weight and good health. Number varies by person depending upon weight, age and how active the lifestyle is. BRAMARI PRANAYAM or Bee Breath 1.Close your eyes. Focus on your breathing. 2.Place your thumbs in your ears, your index fingers above your eyebrows, and your remaining along the sides of your nose. Keep each pinky finger near a nostril. 3.Breath in deeply through the nose. First, feel the diaphragm move down, allowing the lungs to expand and forcing the abdomen out; then feel your chest expand with your collar bones rising last. .4.Use your pinkies to partially close each nostril. Keep your lungs filled. .5.Breathe out through the nose while humming. Hi Apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Take pranacharya vatari syrup and capsule twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day.

Hello. Improvement depends upon the age of a person, the chronicity and stage of the problem. We can't reverse the established pathology back, but we can control the process in the stage it is so that it wouldn't grow further. Apply Bakson’s Rheum Aid oil gently (2-3 times a day) and take orally Bakson’s Rheum-Aid syrup/ 1 tablespoon thrice daily. Also, increase your dietary intake of calcium which is present in green leafy vegetables, milk, milk products, sea food, white legumes, dried fig, black-eyed peas, almonds, oranges, seasame seeds. And vitamin D which is essential for absorption of calcium in our body and is synthesized naturally after getting exposed to sunlight, so early morning sunlight for 10-15 min. 2-3 times a day is mandatory. Apart from this, do walk daily along with physiotherapy will also help you.

Sir, go for Ayurveda's Panchkarma Therapy - We have many option for u - Kati Basti (Specialised Panchakarma procedure for Backpains), Localised Massgae with Herbal oils, Localised Medicated Steam, Pottali Massage. Continue these procedures for atleast 15 days. Regular oiling of the joint will improve the lubrication also. Pain leg is common. Kindly rule out diabetes & vitamin d deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Proper physiotherapy will help. Medicines will also be needed. Hi I am looking for a reliable vacuum therapy or cupping therapy expert in mumbai. My wife has acute osteoporosis and sciatica involving three vertebrates. She was administered steroid injections (three) to create reservoir/depot about 20 months back. She still has pain but is able to move around and uses belt while traveling.

Hello sir I did a microdiscetomy 2 year before in my lumber disc l4-l5 and l5-s1 in the left side . After surgery the pain gone away from my back and legs but after six month the pain again start in my back and buttocks and almost 2 year over I am still suffering from pain and I do not want a surgery again. I did a mri and found recurrent herniation in the same disc so I left the bending forward because of pain and afraid from more herniation so plzz give me some advice regarding my problem.

Hello lybrate user, - adopting ayurveda will help you better to come out pain and also to avoid surgery - here you need to change your life style, like bending, weight lifting, long time sitting etc, might be you are knowing as you underwent surgery already - here ayurveda panchakarma treatment is required i. E kati basti and basti to stop the further herniation and to strengthen the disc.

: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Apply hot fomentation Do back isometrics- lying straight palce a towel roll under lower back & ask her to press downwards hold for 3sec then relax, 10times, twice daily Bridging- lying straight fold both kness then lift back upwards hold for 3sec then relax, 10times, twice daily SLR- lying straight ask her to lift leg upwards hold for 3sec then relax, 10times, twice daily SLR should be done lying straight as well as lying on stomach.

Neck massage will give good results. Use little good oil or plain water and massage from either side on the mid shoulder blade. Use your thumbs and move it slowly upwards on the back of neck up to the lower level of ear. Repeat 5 to 10 times. Do not do from top to down. Finally move your neck up and down, sideways left and right. Results are excellent. Please please ask somebody to massage your spinal column from neck down upto sacral bone using both hands ie both thumbs on one side other fingers on other side do only from neck and not from sacral to the neck. Yo can also use a wooden roller purchased from a acupressure items shop. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Please also take calcium tablets for a limited period 2 months please consult after 10 days

You most probably are suffering from oa of knee. Knee surgery-total knee replacement (tkr) is quite safe & gives uniformly good results, in our hands. We have well equipped centers in delhi. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Surgery should be done when patient is still active & will be able to take benefit of surgery. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem. Kindly show me x rays before a final decision can be taken. You will be thoroughly investigated before surgery is under taken.

Kindly do a stretch for your hamstring muscles and your gleuteal muscles. Lie down on your back. Bend one knee up to chest level. Hold for 10 secs. Lie down on your back raise you leg one at a time straight up on a wall hold for 10 secs. This will get your hamstring stretch. Practise all exercises twice daily.

I am 33 year old, I have pain with swelling little bit hard for 3 days only at diffrent placeses like heels or anywhere in foot, hand finger of hand if pain sever taking painkiller it will reduce. Suffaring from years. Ra factor, uricacid. Crp every thing was normal. It is more frequiently in summer only otherwise 2 to 3 months it is happend. Are probbly suffering from corns & callosities in feet & hands. Kindly show me digital x rays of affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od x10 do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.
