I have rigidity on my muscles and bones that I am unable to sit on the ground and get up. I have pains from toe to thigh on both the legs. I have clean bowel movement along with first urine and I feel free only when I do morning walk for 35 to 45 minutes after taking a glass of luke warn water. I do pranayama, kabala bokyam and some physical exercises by holding my breath and pressing my tummy.

Are you sure that she has this anxiety only at night? If so she is afraid of the darkness, or of being alone, or of death. Any which way you look at it anxiety is fear based. If she meets with a counselor she could easily identify the reason for the anxiety. She may do some of the following to get better sleep. For the medication she will need to meet a psychiatrist in person for a prescription. She should not sleep during the day; don’t even lie down. Go for regular exercise (breathing through your nostrils only) at a fixed time (at about 6 am) every day, whether she sleeps or not. She must develop this habit of sleeping by 10 pm latest every night and wake up at a uniform time by 6 am every morning, even if she does not get sleep. If she does not get sleep, she could just lie down and if she has a bed lamp (or you could get her one) let her lie down and read something light but not exciting. Her eyes will tire and she will fall asleep. If she likes she may also put on the light and soft music with the sleep function on. Depending on whether she is a visual or auditory person, she may watch TV in a lying down position until she feels sleepy. Have a warm bath before going to bed (for some people a cold bath at night seems to induce sleep! If she is one of them, please do so). Place the head side of her bed in a North-South position. The room must be as dark as possible and there should be no electronic items that give off even a light LED glow. There must be ample ventilation in the room. Avoid strong odors, except lavender, on her body or in the room, or on her sheets and clothes. There should not be any live plants in her bedroom. Sleep with the lightest of clothes or without any clothing. When lying down to sleep, let her lie down on her left ear as much as possible. Do not let her sleep directly under an overhead fan. She must eat a good breakfast, a fairly light lunch, and an early dinner, which should be a very light meal. Whatever she eats in the other meals, let her have only a pure carbohydrate meal at night with any vegetables, and preferably before 8 pm. Do not drink much liquids after or near about dinner time. When lying down to sleep she may use the 4-7-8 breathing pattern of sleep inducement i.e. breathe in for four counts through your nostril only, hold for 7 counts, and exhale with a whoosh sound, through your mouth only, for 8 counts. Repeat this four times in the morning and just before she sleeps at night. If she knows Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT (check this out either on YouTube or Google), then let her practice this too for sleep induction. Self-hypnosis and slow relaxation techniques, at night will be tremendously useful. Acupuncture or acupressure will both be very useful too. Pray last thing at night before she sleeps.

Prolonged working on laptop/tv/mobile can cause computer vision syndrome. Computer vision syndrome is a condition resulting from focusing the eyes on a computer or other display device for, uninterrupted periods of time. Some symptoms of cvs include a. Headaches b blurred vision c. Neck pain d redness in the eyes e. Eye strain f dry eyes these symptoms can be further aggravated by improper lighting conditions. Measures to reduce this include 1. Work under proper light. 2. Blink a lot. 3. Cold compresses 4. Use good lubricating eyedrop. 5. Use antiglare glasses.

It's not chlorides but fluorides which cause the problem get scaling polishing done by a dentist it will not help if discolouration is there for that get bleaching done.

Change food habites. Avoid too oily end ghee prepretions, spacy, fast, junck foods with any treatment. Take simpal veg food home made with salad. Wash face with neem face wash dry than apply neem face pack dry for 30 minuties than wash with water.

Hello, if medicines are not working then you should follow the below;- Exercise like stretching swimming regularly yoga like Tadasan and Sarvang asana. play Basket ball regularly. Take proper balanced nutritios and protein rich diet. *Mix two tablespoons of ashwagandha powder in a glass of warm cow’s milk. 1. Add sugar or jaggery according to your taste and mix well. 2. Drink it every night before going to bed at least for 45 days to increase your height. I suggest you to follow these exercises on regular basis in order to get result.

Hello Dipro, I understand your concern because, this kind of belly growth is breeding ground for many diseases (blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, certain kind of cancers, arthritis etc), which can affect the quality of your life ahead. This is a lifestyle related issue and it can be surely treated with intensive lifestyle modification program. Major factor in your case may be stress related hormonal issue. Most people who are fat are made to feel that it is because you lack will power, you are lethargic and a weak person. But that is definitely not true. It is your your hormones which have made you fat and keeping you fat. Unless we make correct diagnosis and and create a diet and lifestyle plan to correct that hormonal abnormalities you will not be able to lose weight for long term. Most diet fails because they are low calorie and low fat. Instead of correcting metabolism, they make you feel low energy or makes you feel excessively hungry. If you are doing regular exercise, it will increase your fitness but it may not reduce weight much. Calorie counting is useless. If you want to count, count nutritional value of food in terms of protein, fiber, good fat etc. I am sure you did not gain this much weight suddenly but over a period of time. To achieve weightloss - think long term. Weight loss achieved over short term, always comes back. Try this general approach (see below) for 4 weeks. If this works (moves your weight in right direction) then continue. If you have tried this in past or if it does not work, then approach us for weightloss package of 6 months by lifestyle modification - combination of individualized nutritional plan, stress management, exercise prescription for your current fitness level and sleep improvement, (if required). 1. Do not eat anything sugary or sweet. Zero sweetness in diet. 2. Eat plenty of salad in lunch and dinner along with other foods. 3. Do not drink any liquid calorie like cola or fruit juices. 4. Brisk walks for 30 minutes every day. 5. Learn relaxation techniques or meditation and do it for 15 min per day for stress regulation. My best wishes.

Start by reducing your portions of less-healthful foods by 5 to 10 percent. You'll barely notice the trimming, but you'll immediately taper your intake of calories, carbohydrate, fat, and sodium. Over time, this portion slim-down will improve your weight, blood glucose, cholesterol, and blood pressure

Hi lybrate-user 1. Reduce your portions by using smaller plates, asking for a small ice cream cone, beverage or sandwich instead of a large, splitting main dish at a restaurant with a friend or ordering a lunch-size portion even at dinner. It’s better to take a fixed portion on to the plate and not eat directly from the serving bowl. Do you know just 2 cookies or small biscuits more than your requirement in a day will make you put on 5 Kgs in a year and 25 Kgs in 5 years? So we need to take care of our serving sizes. 2. Increase the volume. Choose low-fat, high-fiber foods which fill you up with minimal calories. Fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes are high-volume foods that not only help trim your waistline but also provide nutrients essential for health. 3. Add fruits and vegetables to all your meals. Add one fruit or vegetable to every meal, and you'll be on your way to lower blood pressure and improved health. Try apples for breakfast, raw cucumber or carrots with lunch and fruit salad with dinner. 4. Hydrate yourself. Get a water bottle and carry it with you everywhere you go. You'll find yourself drinking water while you're driving, at your desk, during meetings and watching TV. Drinking water instead of coffee, soda, fruit punch or other sweetened beverages saves calories as it keeps your body functioning optimally. Drinking lukewarm water is even better. 5. Go Vegan majorly. Eat meatless meals for at least 5 days per week or more. Choose a paneer/mushroom curry instead of chicken or mutton curry, vegetable sandwich in place of a chicken sandwich, veggie burger instead of hamburger. You'll consume less fat and saturated fat, plus increase your fiber intake! 6. Enhance your Breakfast Studies show people who start the day with breakfast cereal have higher intakes of vitamins and fiber and lower intakes of fat and saturated fat. For the healthiest cereal, choose one with at least five grams of fiber and no more than eight grams sugar per serving. Pour on skim milk for a double bonus! 7. Don’t eat before the tube Stop eating meals while watching TV or snacking during your favorite show. Research plus common sense tells us we eat more when we're watching the tube. 8. Not 3 but 5. Have at least 5 small meals a day in place of 3 big ones to keep your metabolic rate high which in turn helps in weight loss. A good day’s diet should have small and frequent meals i.e.5 meals in the day rather than 3 big meals. We need to learn to have the Best Breakfast, Nutritious Midmorning snack, Good Lunch, Light Evening snack with beverage and an Early Dinner every day. 9. Pack your meals. Instead of buying lunch every day, or worse yet, skipping lunch altogether, pack your lunch as far as possible. Make a sandwich with whole grain bread, a chapatti roll with lots of veggies, salad like sliced cucumbers and tomatoes, and grated carrots. Add a piece of fresh fruit. Satisfy your sweet tooth with yogurt or fat-free pudding and your need for crunch with soya sticks, murmura ,almonds ,or may be just a little ‘saunf’(fennel seeds). You'll save money and eat less fat, salt and sugar. 10. Do not fast, do not feast. Neither skip meals nor have everything in one meal. We need to learn to eat when we are hungry & stop when sufficiently full. We need to learn to self-regulate.

dear madam. 26 yrs lower back ache is unlikely due to serious cause. most common cause is excessive strain on back while working. kindly do back strengthening exercises and have balanced diet, add some vegetarian diet too. and hot fomentation you can try. if it is not getting reduced with these please let me know.

If a person is on eltroxin for lifetime and if he is cured how would hr know? His tsh would be low because he's taking eltroxin, so his body would not produce thyroid hormones even if he's cured because he is taking the hormones orally?

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for your query. Hypothyroidism is a condition wher thyroid gland is either under active or not producing the hormone Thyroxine at all. Because of this TSH is high. This hormone tries to stimulate thyroid to produce thyroxine. Thyroxine is an essential hormone required for day to day functioning of various vital functions in the body, it has to be supplied from outside and that too for lifetime. There is NO CURE, for this condition. When on treatment it is necessary to maintain TSH between 3 to 4 mU/L, so as to be free from all the symptoms of hypothyroidism. If one stops taking the drug levothyroxine, then serious consequences can be seen to occur. Thanks.

Hello. Start hair vitamin tab follihair or keraglo eva after dinner for 3 months. Have more proteins in diet. Avoid stress. Get investigations like hb, tsh, vit b12 and d3 done. Please see a local dermatologist for further assessment if no satisfactory improvement.

Include fresh fruit juices in your daily diet to add a few pounds. Be sure while choosing the juice, as calorie rich fruit will be more effective.
