If you can invest some time for correcting your lifestyle, maybe you may not require any long term treatment. Here are some simple tips which can be very beneficial if done consistently. Do Yoga and pranayam for 30 mins. Learn it from an expert to gain good results. You can also choose any acitve sports or simple body exercises like stretching and strengthening exercises with 30 mins of daily walking. Restrict the calorie intake to less than 2000 calories. A balanced diet which is from healthy source is equally important. Include seasonal fruits and vegetables everyday. Sleep at regular time (7-8 hrs ). Maintain good hydration (8-10 glasses of water or a little more ). Go for regular follow up with your doctor. Avoid all kinds of stimulants like tobacco, alcohol etc. Limit tea and coffee to 2-3 times a day if you are interested. You can repeat the lipid profile after sometime. If needed then take the statins (meds for reducing the cholesterol) under the guidance of the doctor. Please do continue the above said lifestyle even if there is not much improvement in the lipid profile. You can also add Homeopathy which works holistically and improves the metabolism as well as the overall wellbeing. You can contact me for Homeopathic treatment if interested.

Things To Know About Rheumatic Heart Disease

Things To Know About Rheumatic Heart Disease

Some people have a sore throat which they think will go away sooner rather than later. Well, while it may not seem serious, rheumatic heart disease means that it could potentially be! But, how exactly?

A sore throat usually comes about on account of bacteria affecting the region of the throat.

Sometimes what can happen is that the same bacteria can go all the way to the heart and damage the valves of it. This is very serious as the health of a person fundamentally depends on the health of his or her heart!

When a sore throat does not seem to be getting better even after about three days go by, the first thing which is to be done is to see a doctor. This is due to the fact that delays can result in the situation getting worse. As a result of this, treatment can get more complex. And who wishes to compound their own miseries, after all?

Children who are aged between five and fifteen years of age are at risk of rheumatic heart disease. Now, while it is true that children are likely to fall sick more often than adults as their immune systems may not be all that strong, a special eye is to be kept out for rheumatic heart disease. The general symptoms which a parent should look out for are a sore throat, a cough and a fever. The tough part is that these symptoms appear which a range of other conditions!

When it comes to knowing that rheumatic heart disease is what is affecting a person, a special blood test is taken and if there is a need, an ECG and some other measures confirm rheumatic heart disease. Penicillin is a wonder drug and it is used in the treatment of rheumatic heart disease, as well. It is the general form of treatment, in fact, and people with the disease are often put on a course of injections. This means that they need to have an injection every 28 days for a month so as to make sure that there is no further damage which can affect the valves of the heart. The importance of this cannot be impressed enough.

It is unfortunate that in many cases, people only discover that they have rheumatic heart disease once they reach adulthood. The valves of the heart may be leaking or significantly damaged by the time that the discovery is made. Is it not a lot better to save oneself from this sort of situation? If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a cardiologist.

I am suffering from hypertension since 2 years. Swelling on face and whole body. Please help me.
Hi, edema is the medical term for swelling. It is a general response of the body to injury or inflammation. Edema can be isolated to a small area or affect the entire body. Medications, infections, pregnancy, and many medical problems can cause edema. Causes of edema: edema is a normal response of the body to inflammation or injury. Edema can also result from medical conditions or problems in the balance of substances normally present in blood. Some of the causes of edema include: -low albumin (hypoalbuminemia) -allergic reactions -obstruction of flow -burns, life-threatening infections, or other critical illnesses can cause a whole-body reaction that allows fluid to leak into tissues almost everywhere -edema and heart disease (congestive heart failure). When the heart weakens and pumps blood less effectively, fluid can slowly build up, creating leg edema. If fluid buildup occurs rapidly, fluid in the lungs (pulmonary edema) can develop. If there is heart failure of the right side of the heart, oftentimes edema can develop in the abdomen, as well. -edema and liver disease -edema and kidney disease -edema and pregnancy -cerebral edema (brain edema) -numerous medications can cause edema get a thorough examination and investigation done by your doctor for correct diagnosis.

Raised blood pressure is not a disease in itself. It is just a sign of some underlying disorder. Homeopathy offers good prognosis for cases of essential hypertension. The treatment is based upon the cause and the totality of the case. A constitutional homoeopathic treatment will cure you permanently. Blood pressure readings in the right and left arms that differ by a few points aren’t anything to worry about. It’s actually quite normal. A difference of more than 10 points, though, could suggest trouble. In younger people, side-to-side differences in blood pressure can occur when a muscle or something else compresses an artery supplying the arm, or by a structural problem that prevents smooth blood flow through an artery. In older people, it’s usually due to a blockage arising from atherosclerosis, the artery-clogging disease process at the root of most heart attacks, strokes, peripheral artery disease, and other cardiovascular conditions. Hope your reading difference is not more than 10 points. If there is a wide difference, you should consider seeking a doctor.
