What are the symptoms of AIDS. I any one is suffering from this but the guy is not aware.

MBBS, PG Diploma in HIV Medicine
General Physician,
What are the symptoms of AIDS. I any one is suffering from this but the guy is not aware.
Hiv is an infection which attacks immune system. Particularly cd4 cells. Cd4 cells are essential to fight the infections like police men. After acquiring the infection the virus starts killing the cd4cells. And when the count is less, the patients get aids syndrome, a group of opportunistic infections. The period between the infection and development of aids is subjective and depends upon individual's body response. And this period is 2 months to 10 years. That's why some of them will fall ill immediately and some of them lately. But irrespective of the patient's clinical condition he is always infective to his/her partner. Hence, once the patient is diagnosed with hiv he should be monitored regularly by a specialist even though he is healthy.

I am suffering from Heavy cough for the past 1 weak. Also since yesterday I have got cold with runny nose. Can you please help me. I have used strepsils for cough and throat but it couldn't cure it. I have also used COFBAN-DX cough syrup but it also couldn't help me get better.

MBBS
General Physician, Fatehabad
Hi lybrate-user, The common cold is almost always accompanied by a cough and can be quite an irritating condition to deal with. While, medication can help reduce the symptoms you experience, a cold has no cure and it takes about seven days to resolve. So, instead of loading your body with all those chemicals why not try something natural to beat the discomfort you feel. 1. If you have a cough and cold, take about 4 to 5 cloves of garlic, lightly crush and sauté it in a little ghee. Have this as an easy remedy. Alternatively, you can also juice four cloves of garlic, two tomatoes, and a lemon to make a delicious antibacterial and antiviral drink. You can also combine these ingredients to prepare a tomato and garlic soup with a little rock salt if you prefer. 2. You can also have some turmeric tea to treat the condition. All you need to do is boil 4 cups of water, mix one tablespoon of turmeric powder to it and boil the water. Once done allow it to stand for 10 minutes. Strain the mixture using a fine strainer, and then mix in a little honey and lemon – your medicinal turmeric tea is ready. You can add some tulsi to the tea to make it a better natural remedy. 3. You can also prepare a simple tea with tulsi by adding about 15 washed leaves of tulsi into 1.5 cups of water and boiling. After about 10 minutes, strain this liquid, mix in one tablespoon of lemon juice and drink it while it is still warm. Lemon juice contains vitamin C and this, in combination with the medicinal ingredients of the tulsi will improve your immunity against the cold. Hope this helps.

I am 20 year male I have an hair fall problem I don't have dandruff. But I don't know why it's falling please suggest...
It is normal to lose about 30-80 strands of hair in a day. The common reasons behind hair fall are lack of essential nutrients in the body, improper and unhealthy dietary habits, hormonal imbalance, certain medications, dandruff, alopecia and other scalp disorders, stress and tension etc. Natural oils such as coconut, olive, jojoba, almond etc. Can be used to massage the scalp for countering hair fall. Gently massage the scalp prior to head bath twice a week. Also check hemoglobin for anaemia and thyroid status with serum tsh. Have more proteins and trace minerals like copper, zinc, selenium in diet. Start taking a hair nutrition supplement. Keep stress away with regular exercise, yoga, meditation. Get the underlying scalp condition like dandruff treated.

Hye. Thanks for the query. Summer can not only dehydrate you but also draw you off of energy and stamina, making you feel unwell and feeling low. A healthy and balanced diet is essential, especially in the summer. The summer heat deprives our body of all the energy. Excessive perspiration in summer results in dehydration. Rehydration is essential irrespective of the activity levels and thirst pangs. Liquids at very cold temperatures should be avoided. Increased consumption of very cold liquids, results in the constriction of the blood vessels. This in turn reduces the loss of heat which is essential in summers. Holy basil seeds/ tulsi seeds added to water or fruit juices proves an effective cooling drink for the summers. Soft drinks contain added sugar, preservatives and colors. Therefore fresh fruit juices without added sugar are preferred in summers. Fried foods, such as french fries, potato patties, chips, samosa, wada pav should be restricted thereby reducing the thermal effect of fat. A light and healthy meal will make you feel comfortable. Avoid very spicy foods. Whole fresh fruits supply a good amount of water, in addition to minerals and vitamins. A bountiful supply of vegetables and fresh fruits are beneficial. Lemon juice, barley water, butter milk and tender coconut water are the best sources of hydration.

Your sugar levels look really go your bmi is 24.85kg per sq meter. This a bit more than ideal for indians which is 23kg/m2, what means is you have to exercise more than one hour a day so that enogh calories are burnt and simultaneously control your eating. Your ideal body weight is 182cms - 100 = 82x. 9= 73.8 kg. Please let me know your activity level based on that caloric is calculated. As regards the type food you should avoid deep fried foods, direct sweets and fruits like mangoes, bananas, chikoos (sapotas) and grapes.

Not to your penis or to your physical health. It doesn't cause mental illness either. However remember you've lots to do in your career and spending lots of time maaturbating will take away from that time. But definitely not harmful to your health unless you are rough with your penis and cause injury.

Hello, Lybrate user, It would b proper to view your report but ECG report is not enough to assesse the over all condition of d heart to be panic about unless you go through stress test, angiography,Eco, to establish any measure cardiac fault when TMT is normal. Caffiene may trigger Herat problem please consult to your cardiologist, in this regard. If you are on Ecosprin it means some blockage is there or blood need to be thinner but that too, can be established after Eco test, atleast. On the whole your symptoms reveal that you are disturbed due to gastric disorder causing pain in chest and back. U have not mentioned your height & weight. Homoeopathy very well manage the function of heart. Till your report reach me ,please take homoeo medicine: @ Carbo veg 200-6 pills, thrice.
