Sir meri wife ki delivery opration ke through hui thi 2012 main uski back pain or legs pain rehta hai. Maine sari report karwa li lakin sab report normal ayi hai. Please tell me main kya karo.

Dip. SICOT (Belgium), MNAMS, DNB (Orthopedics), MBBS
Orthopedist, Delhi
Hi thanks for your query. Low back pain is usually not a result of delivery(whether normal or by a operation). It is due to weakness of back muscles, discogenic and sometimes deficiency of calcium/vitamin d levels. Please tell me her complaints elaborately with all attached investigations and I should be able to revert back to you with some solution for it. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Thanks & regards Dr Akshay Kumar Saxena

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Can psoriasis and rhumetiod arthritis cured from root?

DNB Rheumatology, Grad. Cert. Paed. Rheumat, MD - Paediatrics, MBBS
Rheumatologist,
Psoriasis can not be cured from the root. However recent research has shown that rheumatoid arthritis if treated early and consistently by a rheumatologist then in aorund 23% of patients it can be cured. Hence my suggestion would be to meet a rheumatologist in your area. I can provide further details and reference of nearest rheumatologist if you let me know where you are staying. Sharath

Hello, thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am dr akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Please tell me duration of pain and what are aggravating factors? how much distance can you walk and what is the analgesic requirement to carry out activities of daily routine? what medications you generally take and what has been your treatment history till now for existing problem. I also need to see your latest knee x rays so that I know what grade of arthritis are we dealing with on your case? rejoint is not a pain killer but has glucosamine which has been thought to help in cartilage regeneration and minimize symptoms, although its role is controversial.
