One of the reasons of not gaining weight can be that your diet must be low in protein. Low protein diet hinders muscle development. Increase tour protein intake in the food as well as you can have a good protein supplement.

I am 24 years old. I am using whey protein for lean muscle growth. I do work out in gym at least one and half hour daily. My present weight is 64 and height is 5'7. My doubt is how many grams of whey protein is good to consume daily and when should I take (Pre workout or post workout or bed time)?

Hye. Protein needs depend on the intensity of your workout, days diet intake and other medical parameters. Consuming the protein supplement before you train may be slightly better than after, since you are not able to maintain stamina. You may want to make a shake and start sipping on it before you train and continue to drink from it during your session. Protein supplements are no replacement for high-quality protein sources from food. Food sources include various minerals that are essential for well-being that you won't find in a supplement. Most often lack of stamina for workout is usually because either you don't need as much protein supplementation or that you are exclusively depending only on the protein supplementing.

Hi , you should check yourself for your hormonal levels. There is a possibility of some imbalance in your hormones. You should check yourself for t3, t4 and tsh which will tell about thyroid and also test for fsh and lh which will indicate any menstrual problems. If there are any positive findings in the tests, even the pimples will be related to it.

You are most probably suffering from irritable bowel syndrome. In this condition the frequency and urge to go to toilet increases especially just after meals. Ibs can be caused due to many reasons out of which stress is one important cause. When your life and body are stressed, it can lead to ibs. You need to practice deep breathing and relaxation techniques. If your symptoms are not improved, you need to take prescription medication for a period of time.

Dear, Anemia is called as Pandu roga in Ayurveda. Anemia is a pitta dosha disorder. Pitta dosha is responsible for the proper digestion and assimilation of the consumed foods in the body. Vitiation in the pitta dosha, especially the paachaka pitta can reduce the digestive capacity of the food. This can cause deficiency of the necessary nutrients, thus creating anemic conditions in the body. Chronic or severe anemia can lead to heart disease, tinnitus, jaundice, vomitting, severe thirst. Please follow the below for your condition: 1. Potatoes are crammed with carbohydrates. All forms of this stuffy food have major impact on weight gain. You can grill or bake potatoes with butter. People who eat potato chips and French fries tend to gain weight faster. Make French fries using extra virgin oil, if you like them. • Moreover, you can also make a delicious potato salad. Peel and slice potato. Boil them and mix them with the high calorie ingredients like buttermilk, mayonnaise, and veggies. Note – If you eat French fries regularly, limit your potato consumption to twice a week. 2. Midday sleep plays a crucial role in gaining weight. Take a nap of about 45 minutes to 1 hour, post afternoon meal or lunch. 3. Exercise Regular workout boosts up your metabolism and stimulates your appetite that will automatically increase your intake of food. Being skinny doesn’t mean that you have to stay away from exercising. It is very important to complement your diet with some regular exercises. • You can do light aerobic, stretching, strength training and cardiovascular exercises. Brisk walking, cycling, dancing, swimming, etc., will also aid weight gain. • Various yoga poses can give you a balanced body mass. Note • Supervision of a trainer is mandatory. • Eating peanut butter before exercising is also beneficial. • Don’t perform excessive workouts; just focus on growth of muscles.

Hi, I think you are having'frey syndrome' it is a condition in which itching and redness develops on the cheek after eating certain foodstuffs like spicy food, tomatoes, flavoured snacks, candies, lollipops, tangy or sour foods. It is generally considered harmless and not an allergy as such, but there is no real effective treatment. Try to avoid those foodstuffs if possible.

Perhaps you are eating but the food is not getting digested properly. That means your digestive system is tired. Give it rest by fasting for three days. Take an enema every day on those days. Alternatively drink one cup of spinach juice every day. This will give adequate rest to your digestive system. Then eat about 2000 calories every day. Include about 20 gms of ghee or butter in your diet. Ensure that you do not eat fried foods or spicy foods in order to gain weight. These foods tire your system. Continue fasting for one day every week. That will keep your system working well.
