Sir I am in a rehabilitation stage after being operated in my left knee ligament i. E arthroscopic surgery of ACL Ligament. Now after surgery its 50 days already but bending of knee and regain of power of quadriceps is nt satisfactory for which it takes time 2 healing my foot. So pls suggest me, whether machinery physiotherapy like simulator, knee bending machine will give me early recovery. Pls suggest me if any other ways r there for faster recovery.

Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

For knee pain or any joint pains. Pain killer is only temporary remedy. You should apply some bone rejuvenation oil and intake lubrication medicine which will applies on the joints. Just 3 months medication 100% curable.Thanks.

I have closed hand bone fracture. I had removed plaster after 1.5 month. The bone dislocate & joint a bit at the edge. Is it enough? Is there any chance to infection while no wound. Tell me medicine to heal fracture properly. Calcium rich food. What is the treatment of it.

Avoid sitting cross legged. Ankle stretching. Ankle strengthening exercises. Avoid squatting. Quadriceps exercises. Core strenthening exercises. Stretch calves get a custom made insole. Hams stretching. Sports taping. Hot fomentation.

U will have to be treated as an in patient with ayurvedic therapies like herbal paste application for reducing the swelling and pain followed by wt is called janu basti where the knee is treated with medicated oils by retaining in the affected area for about 45-60 min for the purpose of healing. Thereafter the patient is suggested to avoid strain to the affected knee for at least a months time.

Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform me.

You may be having vitamin D deficiency and calcium deficiency. Take sunlight exposure and milk intake. Some medicines will help. Continue exercises.

Requires detail examination and investigation Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. I would like to examine the patient in detail & investigate. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid, vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried. Do hot fomentation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Bio d3 max 1 tab od x10. Make sure that the patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that patient is going to take. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful. Use no pillow under the head.

Hello lybrate user, leg pain after running is common due to spasm in the leg muscles known as tibialis anterior which functions to pull the foot towards your body during walking, running. When a person runs or exerts an unaccustomed stress there occurs production of lactic acid in the muscle which is quite painful. Relief by: rest ice application stretching exercises will help a lot god bless you.

I am 65, male suffering from too much of anxiety. The other day when I went to board a train to go to Guruvayur, someone stopped me and started enquiring about my journey, claiming to be policemen. They let me off, when my wife, who was coming far back, came and questioned as to what is going on. The duo said that there were bad elements, out to deceive passengers of their belongings and so they called me to warn me to be careful. After this I am afraid to going to the station to board any train. This kind of fear occurs often and I keep imagining about some bad situation, blow it out of proportion and make not only myself miserable but others around me. Several times I have been confronted by people in railway station, bus stand, etc. Like this and duped of money and valuable and this has left a deep impression leading to awful anxiety. How to overcome this?

Dear, these type of problem and negative thoughts are due to obsessive thoughts. Obsessive thoughts are common for everyone. But for everyone, these thoughts happen for a certain amount of time, say 24 hours. Then, they recover mainly because they get themselves busy in some other areas of their life.
