Requires detailed examination and investigation. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5 days, inform

There is possibility of RA or OA. Kindly send any previous lab tests if you have. Do not take pain killers for longtime. Avoid long standing cross leg positions. Avoid potato, brinjal and other vata aggravating foods. Take Rasnasaptaka kashaya 20 ml 2tm with equal warm water. Massage with warm pinda tail all over knee regularly. Practice some light exercises which strengthens knee joint muscles.

9 WAYS TO PREVENT AND TREAT LOW BACK PAIN

Back pain is difficult to treat and easy to prevent. Preventing back pain may be the simplest way to deal with it. In this article, you can find tips for helping to prevent back pain.

1. Exercises and physiotherapy
This is the mainstay of non-surgical treatment of low back pain. Exercises help you prevent as well as cure the back pain. Regular dedicated exercises at home or under the supervision of a physiotherapist help strengthen your muscles and reduced the load on the bones of the spine thus help to reduce degeneration of the spine.

2. Minimize and avoid twisting motions

The use of twisting motions should be carefully monitored, and scaled back or eliminated as appropriate. When lifting heavy objects, twisting should be avoided. When doing heavy work, such as housework, try to keep twisting to a minimum. In other activities, pay close attention to how you are moving your spine, as well as any warning signs such as pain or tightness, that may indicate trouble. Scale back on the twisting according to the warning signs your body gives you.

3. Drink plenty of water

Our bodies are comprised of approximately 70% water. Enough water keeps us fluidic, rather than stiff. Drinking plenty of water enhances the height of intervertebral disks, keeping them the healthy shock absorbers they are. Water is necessary for nearly every bodily process so is good to have in generous supply, at least, 8 glasses per day. It is almost impossible to drink too much water.

4. Live an active life and strengthen your abs

Exercise and activity keep the muscles of the spine strong. The most important muscles to strengthen to avoid back pain are the abdominals. Include stretching in your fitness program to avoid stiffness, which causes pain. Another reason to stay flexible is that stiff muscles are a precursor to injury.

5. Maintain a healthy weight

Maintaining a healthy weight is generally an excellent way to prevent all kinds of diseases and discomforts. For the spine, it avoids compression and loading of the intervertebral disks, prevents postural abnormalities, such as anterior pelvic tilt, and interrupts a sedentary lifestyle, with its accompanying stiff and/or weak muscles.

6. Find the best sleeping positions

Finding a sleeping position that works for you can help you avoid placing unnecessary strains on your back or neck. Doctors tend to vary when recommending ideal sleep positions, so being guided by your comfort levels and using your own judgement are a good accompaniment to his or her advice.

7. Warm up

For those who exercise, and that should be everyone, warm ups are a must. Warm up means 5-10 minutes of light aerobic activity just prior to the exercise session. The purpose of a warm-up is to acclimate the muscles to a more intense activity level gradually enough to prevent injury, and therefore, pain. Recommendations by experts vary as to whether the warm-up period should include stretching.

8. Cool down

The cool down period after an exercise period must include stretching. During cool down, your muscles are still warm from exercising and are very receptive to stretching. Stretching will be less painful during cool down, as well. Stretching relieves muscle tightness, which is one cause of back pain. Stretching also helps to balance the action of muscles, enhancing ideal alignment, and relieving joint strain.


9. Purposely interrupt long periods of sitting

If you sit for long periods of time, force yourself to get up from your chair as much as your work environment will permit. Sitting loads the spine and compresses the disks, leading to disk problems. Slaving over a computer for long periods of time can also cause posture problems, such as kyphosis, and neck problems.

You have not mentioned the nature of your job .For backache take yograj guggul 2 tabs twice daily with maharasnadi kwatha 4 tsf with equal amt of water after meals.chew the tablets for better results .plain til taila could be applied on the back .avoid lifting heavy weight and use hard bed for sleeping .Good luck.

Keep a small pillow to support your lower back if you are driving a car. If you ride a bike then I would suggest good suspension for bike.

Dear since you have diabetes you need exercises to keep fit and control your sugar. Since you have knee pain best exercise for your problem is cycling. Do buy a stationary bicycle and exercise for at least 20-30 minutes daily and then twice a day.

Hello, you may be having headache because of stress/ refractory problems/ any ENT problem or may be Migraine Headache kindly follow advises given below: you can take(If No drug allergy) : 1. Tablet Crocin (Paracetamol 500 mg) one tablet after food when required for headache after food for 2-3 days (maximum 2 tablets with gap of 12 hour can be taken in a day) 2. Adequate sleep 6-8 hr in a day 3. Get check eyes for refractive error 4. We need to go for ENT evaluation to rule out sinusitis 5. Get BP checked 6. Regular physical exercise and meditation and yoga complete history of your headache for further management like duration, severity, aggravating factors/relieving/ triggering/ associated factor to reach diagnosis consult physician for further management.

You need a proper sports injury physiotherapist session which work on your injured shoulder. Starting with simple hot fomentation, rhythmic exercises, isometric exercises, isotonic exercises gradually move towards exercises with light weights to medium weight exercises according to your need which gives your joint proper stability by improving the strength.

. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Consult after 5 days. For further guidance and treatment.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. There can actually be many reasons of pain in shoulder and hand region, it could be some degeneration in neck region or shoulder region. Also there can be an element of inflammation which can cause this also. My advise to you will be to start with some gentle anti inflammatory medication, physical therapy, adequate calcium and vitamin d intake and activity modification which leads to less stress on your neck and shoulder region. If you do not improve in next 2-3 weeks time, we will have to investigate you and get some investigations done. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. This question is for my mother. She is 58 years old diabetic. She have knee pain problem since last 10 yrs. We have tried allopathic, homeopathic and herbal medicine treatment also but so far no use. In time of summer she can walk but not more but in summer time she is not even to walk properly because of severe knee pain. Because of pain she can not move her knees. Your mother may be suffering from age related degenerated changes in her knee joints. Early morning stiffness and difficulty walking especially with seasonal change is common. Along with allopathic and homeopathic treatments you need to take her to a good physiotherapist who can mobilise the joint to increase the range of motion, give modalities like IFT or Ultrasound therapy for pain relief and exercises to increase the strength of the muscles, and teach her a proper gait pattern. Also please get her Vitamin D and calcium levels checked.
