Hello sir, Yes, knee pain is painful and uncomfortable. It is one of the common ailment that affects everyone. You can apply ice on the affected area and I sincerely recommend you to consult nearby physiotherapist for proper investigation so that proper diagnostic can be set and proper treatment can be issued.

Hello, you can start strengthening exercises with 2 kgs of dumblles for 20 times initially. Hello physiotherapy is the best treatment for this condition. I can help you by providing correct ergonomic and physiotherapeutic tips. Till then you can follow these advises:- 1. Take calcium supplements and sun bath daily. 2. Heavy lifting exercises for 15 mins. 3. You can add some squatting, wall pushups and weight bearing activities. 4. Use protein intake. 5. Wear shock absorbing, good quality of shoes while walking. 6. Keep roll of a towel under your knees while sleeping. 7. Perform some gentle exercises and stretching of your all joints before getting out of your bed. 8. Walk straight with shoulder protracted. 9. This could be a condition know as tennis elbow. Do ice pack for 12 minutes 3- 4 times a day, use tenis elbow support. Avoid painful movements. Wait for week if not improving consult a good physiotherapist nearby.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contacts your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

I had knee pain for almost 1 month. Consulted doctor. He advised to take rest as x ray was normal. Despite of taking rest my knee pain did not reduce. Its almost 2 months I have pain. Doctor suggested mri.In mri scan there is horizontal meniscus tear. I consulted many orthopaedics. But few r telling to take rest where as few are telling to do physiotherapy. Im unable to understand should I do physiotherapy or not.

Hi consult a knee surgeon who does arthroscopic meniscal repair.In my opinion, rest is better instead of physiotherapy as of now to lessen pain and inflammation. Quadriceps drill alone should be done under guidance to prevent wasting of surrounding muscle, quadriceps. Take anti inflammatory meds for 7 to 10 days, use knee brace for support and use english commode in toilet for prevention of knee bending. All this for 2 weeks. Knee surgeon may help with repair if he finds that necessary best wishes.

I am 75 years old. I am having calf muscle pain on my left leg only in night after gone to bed. No pain in the morning. During pain I apply a siddha oil externally. It subsides. But it comes next day. It is for the past four days. Jagatheesan.

Leg cramps, also known as night leg cramps, especially calf-muscle cramps, are fairly common. Please see a orthopedic or physiotherapist to rule out or identify any possible underlying cause. If there is no underlying cause the leg cramps will probably get better without treatment. Try these home remedies for relief -stretching exercises - straighten the leg and bend the ankle backwards, thus stretching the calf muscle. Walk on tiptoes for a few minutes. Stand about one meter from a wall with your feet flat on the ground. Lean forward against the wall with your arms outstretched, but don't lift your heels (keep your heels on the ground). Stay like that for about ten seconds and gently return to an upright position. Repeat about 5 to 10 times. Some people find that these stretching exercises not only help them get over a leg cramp episode, but also that help reduce how often they occur. Typically, a patient would do these exercises two or three times a day. -stay hydrated - as dehydration may increase the risk of leg cramps, drinking plenty of fluids may help prevent them. -footwear - people with flat feet and other structural problems may be more susceptible to leg cramps. Proper footwear may help. -sleeping position-supporting your toes when lying down or asleep: lying on your back - prop up your feet with a pillow/cushion. Lying on your front - let your feet hang over the end of the bed. Bedding - keep blankets and sheets loose. This helps prevent your feet and toes from pointing downwards during sleep. Best wishes.

Wall calf stretch •Stand about two feet away from a wall. Place the ball of your right foot against the wall while your heel remains on the ground. Slowly and gently lean into the wall while keeping your knee straight. Hold this for 5 seconds. Repeat 10 times twice a day. •Contrast bath---It is a form of treatment where a limb or the entire body is immersed in warm water followed by the immediate immersion of the limb or body in ice water. This procedure is repeated several times, alternating hot and cold. Note that the treatment should always end in the ice water, as heat will induce the body's inflammatory response, while cold helps to decrease inflammation.
