Dandruff is one of the main cause of hair fall, other includes worry, inadequate sleep, lack of exercise, infection etc. You need a comprehensive treatment like local, internal, exercise and some diet advise, you have to keep the patience as treatment is bit of longer duration, if interested let us know.

Dear lybrate-user, 1) try jaborandi homoeopathic hairoil (sbl). Mix oil with 1 egg and apply on the scalp and hair. Leave for half an hour. Take a towel dipped in lukewarm water and wrap around youtr scalp. Repeat 2-3 times. 2) also take a high protein diet -paneer, soyabean, fish, chicken, pulses for good hair lustre. Y 3) do not blow dry your hair, let them dry naturally and do not comb wet hair. 4) use hair cholestrol as a conditioner to give smoothness and volume to your hair. My mother is suffering from Eczema. Full body swelling and suffers from Eczema. Her age 50 years old. Please advise is that full treatment and permanent solution.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Eczema is likely related to conditions that adversely affect the skin's barrier function (including genetic factors, nutrient deficiencies, bacterial infection, and dry, irritated skin) Certain foods such as nuts and dairy can trigger symptoms Eczema can also be triggered by environmental factors such as smoke and pollen Treatment focuses on healing damaged skin and alleviating the symptoms For some, their eczema will eventually disappear completely, but for others, it remains a lifelong condition. There is no cure for eczema. Treatment for the condition aims to heal the affected skin and prevent flaring of the symptoms. Doctors will suggest a plan of treatment based around a patient's age, symptoms, and current state of health. For some people, eczema goes away over time, and for others, it remains a lifelong condition.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Pus is most likely to accumulate again. What is needed is complete drainage, cleaning and dressing almost daily for a few days. If nail bed is infected, the concerned nail may go. You may need painkiller and a suitable antibiotic for about 5 to 6 days. Thanks.

Hi. It's normal to lose up to 100 hair per day, and in most people, those hairs grow back. But many men -- and some women -- lose hair as they grow older. You can also lose your hair if you have certain diseases, such as thyroid problems, diabetes, or lupus. If you take certain medicines or have chemotherapy for cancer, you may also lose your hair. Other causes are stress, a low protein diet, a family history, use of bore water, or nutritional deficiencies. Need to rule out any causative factor or underlying medical condition. Management: Take diet rich in protein like non-veg, eggs (it's loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, vitamin b12, iron, zinc and omega 6 fatty acids in large amounts and biotin), different pulses & legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. Walnuts and almonds); iron-rich food like green vegetables, dates, carrots, prunes, green peas; also oats, shrimp, take flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take low-fat dairy products (they also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources) take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! cover your head with scarf or cap while stepping outside. Use rose wood/ any wooden hair comb to brush your hair. Regularly massage head and hair with coconut oil, almond oil (depending upon your scalp type) 1 to 3 times a week. Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you fit and young! Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Schwabe's Badiaga 200, Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Use Schwabe's Anti-Dandruff shampoo and Anti-Dandruff oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use Bakson's Arnica hair conditioner as well after every head wash.

Hi I am 22 year male my neck is very dark compare to my body color I have tried many home remedies but those doesn't ...
Neck may get dark complexion if melanin pigmentation of that area is increased or sometimes when the dead cells of skin on that area are not being removed naturally. * you are advised to destress yourself & wear loose collar shirt which do not compress the blood supply around the neck. Try to avoid sunrays & dust falling on your neck. * mix 1 teaspoon of mustard oil in 3 big spoon of gram flour (besan) & add 1 big spoon of oat flour in it. Make paste of it by adding sufficient quantity of water in it. Apply it on your neck for 10-15 minute. Remove it slowly without washing. This will naturally remove the dead cell of neck which give you a good looking neck area after few application.

Lustrous, beautiful and healthy hair is a result of a healthy body and a healthy diet Foods high in protein are soy, tofu, dairy products like milk, curd, paneer, cheese, nuts, oilseeds, beans and pulses. Lifestyle changes 1. Along with a healthy hair diet it is important that you exercise properly as it will ensure that there is proper blood flow to your scalp and will help in the growth of hair.  2. Treat your hair delicately. Avoid unnecessary brushing, combing or handling. Use a soft, round bristles brush.  3. Have a weekly scalp massage to provide stimulation to the hair follicles. 4. Have regular trims to eliminate split ends and allow the hair to look and feel healthier. 5. Get plenty of rest and sleep to allow your body to grow hair. Follow the diet plan given below as a starting point for healthy and lustrous hair. Breakfast  Skim milk / soy milk Whole grain bread or toast or poha or breakfast cereal or sprout Bowl of fresh fruit Morning snack Fresh vegetable juice like carrot or cucumber juice Handful of nuts like walnuts, soaked almonds, raisins, dates Lunch Fresh veg. Since chickpeas are known to have a lot of good properties, it is not a surprise anymore that they can also be used for the skin. Chickpeas contain properties that are not only good for the skin, these properties can also help get rid of dark spots found on the skin. You Need: Boiled Chickpeas Note:Bring the chickpeas to a boil until such time when they are already soft and tender. Once they are soft, they can already be mashed. Place the mashed chickpeas on a clean bowl and mix them further until they have a pasty appearance. Rub the paste on the face and different parts of the body. Place them on the areas wherein dark spots are visible. This can be done every day.

Hi, I am 21 year old. I have stretch marks on my thighs. What to do to remove stretch marks. Can you please suggest me any ointment.

Sudden gain or loss in weight, rapid growth, heredity factors, stress and changes in physical conditions leads to stretch marks. Stretch marks happen after delivery too. Stretch marks can make you feel self-conscious and uncomfortable about your appearance. But, don't worry, there are several natural ways to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. The stretch marks fade away with time. 1. Try to scrub the area daily and put vitamin e oil 2. You can also apply some castor oil to the stretch marks and gently massage the area in circular motions for 5 to 10 minutes 3. Use aloe vera gel on the area once a day 4. Use rich cocoa butter before going.
