Hypoglycemia means "less-than-normal blood sugar level" (ie, less than 70 mg%). All medicines taken for Diabetes can cause hypoglycemia. However, Insulins & certain drugs like Glibenclamide (Daonil) are more risky than others. The symptoms of hypoglycemia are: sweating, tremors, sudden thirst or hunger, palpitations, giddiness, fatigue, tiredness, etc. Some or all of these symptoms may be present. They usually occur when the patient has skips a meal or exercises more than usual or takes an over dosage of the medicine. If you or your dear one has symptoms of hypo, give him/her something sweet to eat IMMEDIATELY & then take him/her to the doctor. Hypoglycemia, if severe, can lead to coma & even death.

Hi, in lbp and in advanced age you restricted to have stair use, as there is chance of fall. Old age is the decay stage where no genesis seen rather more lysis seen. So it is unhealthy for you to go further.

Eat less salt

Even if you don?t add salt to your food, you may still be eating too much. About three-quarters of the salt we eat is already in the food we buy, such as breakfast cereals, soups, breads and sauces. Eating too much salt can raise your blood pressure. People with high blood pressure are more likely to develop heart disease or have a stroke.

Use food labels to help you cut down. More than 1.5g of salt per 100g means the food is high in salt. Adults and children over 11 should eat no more than 6g of salt a day. Younger children should have even less.

Hypothyroid leads to a slight increase in Triglycerides, your levels are not high enough to start any medications yet. you have not mentioned your LDL levels. so make sure your TSH is within normal range. Secondly diet, exercise and lifestyle patters have a major correlation with Cholesterol levels, It is important that you modify your diet to a low fat, low sugar diet (take a detailed diet consult for that) and begin with exercise, start gradually increase to 45 mins per dayof brisk walking or yoga, quit alcohol if u take. these are standard recommendations asper American and European guidelines accepted by India cardiac society also, so kindly do not pay heed to anyone who suggests to you that diet has no role to play in cholesterol management.

For control high cholesterol level eat whole grain foods, green veg., juice, plenty of water at least 8 glass of water in a day. Avoid high cholesterol foods, oily, fatty, junk, fast foods, foods from out sided, Go for walk daily, do yoga, cycling, any good exercise, avoid stress, try to take good sleep at night. Checkup your body by blood tests and physical examination at regular time. take cap. ecosprin gold 10 once at night after meal for 30 days.

Hi... Sorry to hear about the problem. ... If your blood pressure is 160/120 on the medication, then you should talk to your doctor about possibly increasing the medicine as the BP is not well controlled. There are many reasons for the pain. With the high BP you should talk to your doctor and atleast get an ECG to get it checked out. Hope this helps, Please let me know should you need anything. Thanks

If your father is nearly 7 feet as mentioned above, I will not recommend weight reduction except reduction in salt and sugar which he must have been advised after angioplasty & being diabetic on no sugar. his bp is low. give him more fluids and get checked again. if it is one time reading , do not worry and keep him hydrated by insisting on drinking more water. if bp is constantly lower than 100 , which is highly unlikely but do get checked by your doctor to know the reasons of low bp like low thyroid,anemia.. regarding recent heart attack , do write back about investigations done and numbers of blocks. angioplasty has been done for 1 or more blocks ? aftercare for angioplasty is routine prevention of a heart attack like eating right,moderate exercise,no smoking and no negative stress.

Main priciple of diet is to avoid 3f ie no fry, fatty and fast food. Avoid egg yolk, prawn, banana. Fast food also samosa, kochhury, any marketted prepared food. Total quqantity of food should be onethird less of ordinary food. If he had failure in hosp, then fluid intake should be restricted to 1.5 litre. For the diet most preferabl is main principle in diet is to avoid 3fie no fry, fatty & fast food. Also avod meat yolk of egg, prawn & banana. In fact more vegetable & fruits are preferabl. Take plenty of fruits. Total quantity of foods willbe 3/4th of original khana. If he had failure of heart in hospital then fluid intake should 1.5 litre'

It's not that you are not supposed to eat egg yolk. It has got good nutrients in it. The amount of yolk you consume per day matters becoz its a concentrated source of energy. Any extra calories is stored as fat in the body. So,if you are eating 2 to 3 whole eggs without any additional processed foods or meat, then this might not cause you any harm.
