Flax seeds have been enjoying the attention of dieters all over the world Role In weight loss diet – • Lignans – the lignans and fiber in flax seeds helps in reaching early satiety (the feeling of fullness). Having salads and soups have extra benefit of consuming a lot of fiber which is helpful for weight loss. • A lot of Indians are confused about the right time to consume water during a meal. Some believe have a glass or two of water before meal will help in curbing the appetite, which is not entirely true. Water will easily pass out to your intestine and you would immediately feel hungry. Water should be consumed in between the meal. This helps in better digestion and bolus formation. People who drink water with their meal face less problems of acidity, constipation or indigestion. • Go low on carbs and increase your protein intake. As mentioned above, have a bowl of yogurt / curd, skimmed milk and paneer (cottage cheese). • Increase your fluid intake. Have a lot of soups, fruit juices (without adding sugar), coconut water, buttermilk, milk, and plain water. Consuming fruits with a lot of water content like water melons are of help too. • Change your cooking methods. Give up on deep frying and use microwave or air fryer, replace frying with grilling and steaming or cook in microwave. These would help in cutting down on a lot of calories. • Understand the reason behind your weight. If your weight is attributed due to hormonal issues, diet alone cannot help you in weight loss. You will need to take medical support as well. If sedentary lifestyle is the reason behind your weight, exercising will be equally important as is dieting.

red eyes could be because of many reasons but commonly it is due to allergy or infection. You need to visit eye specialist to differentiate between the two as the treatment is different. Also get your eyes checked for any glass power

Get yourself a proper consultation. This might help- you can try 1) steam inhalation 2-3 times a day. 2) drink lots of water (around 2-3 litres/day) & keep yourself hydrated. 3) anti-allergic, antibiotics medications only after doctor's advice. 4) also take proper 8 hr sleep a day. Avoid late night studying/work. Note, you should not ignore the, as recurrent episodes may lead to development of polyps in nose & different other problems like infection. See to that you are using contact lenses from a good company. Try to use coopervision contact lenses they are supposed to be very comfortable. You can use preservative free eye drops like eyemist e/d when you are using contact lenses to reduce irritation before undergoing lasik a test called corneal topography will be done if the results are fine then you can undergo lasik without any problem. Recovery time will be 1 week to 10 days. Most common side effect is haloes around headlights during driving at night time. Mild irritation is experienced by few.

Hello- this due to increase in melanin due to improper schedule and yes definitely due to your professional field. Try these ayurvedic tips- a) use kumkumadi tailam faor massage around your eyes. B) daily massage your face with coconut oil mix with alovera zel at bed time. C) use mahamanjisthadi kwath 2 tsp twice daily with water. D) increase cows ghee in your diet as this is the one thing which regress and reverses melanin growth.

I have been suffering with eye dryness problem since 4 years all the doctors I have seen till now recommend tears forming drops like refresh tears but I am not getting any benefit from any of these drops and they are continuously saying that it cant be cure the only solution is take precautions please give me some fruitfull advise.

You have to take these drops for pretty long time. But you can try some long acting lubricating drops which needs to be used at longer intervals.

Get your refraction done and wear spectacles eat green veggies. Carrots, mangoes, papayas, yellow fruits,butter, nuts. Strain less your eyes. Relax your eyes in between work. Blink regularily if working for long time on computer. Lower the brightness of your screen. work under adequatey iluuminated conditions.practice eye muscle strengthening exercises. you can go for contact lenses or lasik surgery only after satisfying few criteria like amount and type of refractive error, stability of refractive error and corneal conditions..till then you must not undergo lasik

Actually there is less nerve supply to the muscle which holds the eyelids to keep eyes open and hence there is ptosis and if necessary we can resect the involved muscle but it has got its own complications

Blackish or grayish floating images are generally called floaters and are not cause of concern. But you should get your eyes examined by a retina specialist to rule out any abnormality.

Hi lybrate-user! c3r generally reduces or stops progression. In some cases reversal or decrease in power can happen. In your case and age I don, t expect much progression. Stability of glasses number is the desired goal. Wearing glasses has no bearing on glasses number.

allergy can be controlled easily using eye drops. But there are many eye drops and specific eye drops can only be prescribed after seeing the eye clinically as treatment depends on severity. also dip a handkerchief in little cold water and keep over closed eyes.. you will feel better

Blink 30 mins interval while workin in front of computer, use cmc eye drop 2x10 days both eye 1 drop each eye.

I have eye problem evening when i return from home.Eye irritation so plese help and suggest something

Eye irritation could be due to dust allergy or dry eyes. Try simple soothing eye drops such as nefacool or opticool and see if you get relief. If not, better go for a complete eye evaluation.
