Hello, is it an injury mark or some other mark? apply homoeopathic - thiosinaminum ointment to your scar in a thin layer or else you can use thiosinaminum q few drops mixed in a glycerin solution on scars that are visible (as it is less greasy, so is more easily absorbed into the skin. Also take causticum 200 orally/ thrice daily for 2 weeks, to dissolve large, extensive scars. The oral dose supports the action of the topical application.

Acne not healing quickly. Skin not recovered and blooding when I wash a face. So how I treat that.
The sebaceous glands present in the skin secret more sebum which built across the blockage resulting in accumulation of infection causing bacteria, thus making the condition more worse. Few major causes of pimples are : – Stress – Hormonal changes : Hormonal changes due to sexual maturity like – mensuration in girls. – Improper Cleaning Habits : Dust and pollution block the pores, if not removed properly causes pimples. – Improper Diet : Diet including too spicy, oily, fired and high iodine content food can cause pimples. The only precaution for pimple is good skin care. If Possible develop a routine of proper cleansing, scrubbing and moisturizing your skin. Here are few tips : Wash your face regularly: Wash your face at least 2-3 times a day. Depending upon the skin type you can wash the face with simple water or with face wash. – Develop a cleansing Routine: Cleansing, toning and moisturizing is an essential part of a skin care. Don’t skip it . If you have an oily skin use a oily free moisturizer. – Avoid exposure to Sun: If possible don’t go out when its scorching, but if you have to go use a sunscreen 15 – 20 mins before going out, cover your face or use an umbrella. After returning just follow your cleansing routine, if you have an oily skin use ice, dry skin can use rose water – Avoid Exposure to dust: Dust particles block the pores causing pimples, cover your face properly while going out. Traveling in a car avoid opening the window. – Drink plenty of water: Water help remove toxins from the body, thus help in blood purification and blood circulation. Which is better for covering up during a sunny day, light or dark clothes? Also, is there a danger from tanning sprays rather than tanning beds?

Full sleeved light colored cotton clothes are best for a sunny day. They help reflect light. Tanning devices are cancerous, it's best to totally stay away from them. The us fda has approved the ban on tanning devices due to the increased incidence of melanoma cancer. Its better to stay away from tanning devices in general.

Facial Melanosis Treatment

MBBS, MD - Dermatology
Dermatologist, Delhi
Facial Melanosis Treatment

Facial Melanosis is the effect of excessive Melanin and abnormal Melanocyte under the skin. This results in hyperpigmentation problem; which frequently changes from brown to black and is usually found on the cheek and brow areas of the face. Mostly occurring in females as compared to males, it is found in the age group of over 30 years. Pregnancy, sun exposure, stress, hormone treatments including contraceptive pills, certain medications, and some cosmetics are some of the factors triggering Facial Melanosis.

Treatments for Facial Melanosis:

Facial Melanosis treatment might be very slow to respond. Sometimes, it also leads to irritation in sensitive skin, thus resulting in post inflammatory pigmentation.

Usually, a combination of following measures is helpful:

General Measures:

  1. Discontinuation of hormonal contraception
  2. Lifelong, year-round sun protection with a high SPF sunscreen. Reapply it after every 2 hours in case you are outdoors during the summer. Along with this, wear a broad-brimmed hat.
  3. If applicable, choose cosmetics which have sunscreen.
  4. Use a mild cleanser and if your skin is dry, don’t forget to use a light moisturizer.

Topical Measures:

  1. Application of Anti-Melasma Cream – The main function of Anti-Melasma cream is to reduce the Melanin by interrupting Tyrosinase (enzyme containing copper found in animal and plant tissues which support the secretion of melanin) activity. The active elements in the cream which are intended for Anti-Melasma are Licorice Acid, Retinoic Acid, Hydroquinone, Kojic Acid, Tranexamic Acid, Azelaic Acid and Ascorbic Acid.
  2. Usage of Sun Protection Cream – You should look out for those sun protection creams with SPF factor above 15. Also, Sunscreen should be Para-Aminobenzoic Acid-Free (PABA-Free). The presence of Micronized Titanium Dioxide, which is an active element that works as UV-A and UV-B reflector, becomes an issue of importance while selecting the perfect sunscreen.
  3. Peeling – Superficial or the epidermis layer of your skin can be chemically peeled off and this must be done by a specilized dermatologist or under the supervision of a dermatologist.

If you wish to discuss about any specific skin problem, you can consult a specilized dermatologist and ask a free question.

Three Chemical Peel Myths Busted

Three Chemical Peel Myths Busted

If you have ever thought about how to rejuvenate your skin and make yourself look younger, chances are that you have heard about the chemical peel. As the name suggests, getting a chemical peel involves the application of a chemical on the skin that causes the top layer to blister and peel off. By doing this, a new layer of skin is exposed that is usually smoother than before. Chemical peels are often misunderstood and are surrounded by a number of myths.

Let's take a look at three common myths about this procedure:

  1. All chemical peels are the same: All chemical peels are definitely not same. Chemical peels can be categorized as light or superficial peels, medium peels and deep peels. A light peel removes only the top layer of skin to make your skin look brighter and reduce wrinkles. Medium depth chemical peels penetrate deeper into the skin and are used to treat sun damage and pigmentation. Deep peels are the strongest type of peels that penetrate into the dermal layers of the skin. Chemical peels also vary on the basis of the chemical used.
  2. It involves a long recovery: Though the process itself may not take long, the recovery time depends on the type of chemical peel procedure you have undergone. A superficial peel has virtually no recovery time and can be performed even during a working day's lunch break. Medium depth peels can cause discomfort for about an hour after the procedure and can take a few days to heel. During this time, your skin may look patchy and inflamed and may feel itchy. With a deep peel, the skin may heal in 2-3 weeks, but usually remains red for a few months.  Depending on the chemical used, you may also feel unwell after a deep peel.
  3. It is beneficial only if you have a dermatological issue: You don't need to suffer from a skin problem to undergo a chemical peel. Many women undergo a chemical peel simply to give their skin a glow and to brighten their skin. It can remove wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation while making the skin smoother and softer to touch. Along with the face, chemical peels can also be done on the neck, chest, back and arms.

Chemical peels can do a lot for your skin as long as you choose the right peel for your skin and it is performed safely. While you can get a superficial peel at a spa, deep peels should be performed only by licensed plastic surgeons or experienced dermatologists.

Local application of coconut oil or mustard oil or some soothing and calming lotion may provide relief in itching. Neem is one among the best blood purifier and detoxifier known to ayurveda. It enhances immune system and neem oil is an antiseptic in itself. Leaf extracts are used in antiseptics and can be effectively used in treating skin diseases. It destroys fungus and bacteria and is best for almost all kinds of skin diseases including redness of skin and itching.

Homoeopathic treatment UNDER EYE CREAM ( BAKSON) Apply at night under the eye in circular fashion GLOWCARE DROPS ( LORDS) 20 drops in 20 ml freh water 3 times daily Take a good Iron rich diet likeApple,Pomegranate,Spinach nd all other green vegetables 2 glass milk daily 6-8 glass extra water daily Try to have a sound sleep HOME REMEDIES Slice up a papaya. Papaya fruit contains the enzyme papain. Papain helps exfoliate the skin, making way for new skin cells to emerge. Papaya also contains Vitamin C and Vitamin E, so it's a dark spot fading superstar. Papain is most concentrated while the papaya is still green, but you can use riper fruit as well. Peel and remove the seeds from a papaya, and try one of the following treatments: 1. Slice a piece off of the papaya, and lay or hold it on the dark spots that you want to get rid of. Hold it there for 20-30 minutes. Repeat twice a day for best results. 2.Make a papaya facial mask. Cut the papaya into chunks, then use a blender or food processor to blend the fruit into a smooth paste. Apply the mask to your face and neck. Leave it on for about 30 minutes, then rinse well.

My lips are little bit darker than normal. I do not even smoke. What is the solution.

BAMS
Ayurveda, Ambala
My lips are little bit darker than normal. I do not even smoke. What is the solution.
Follow these best tips to get red lips:- * moisturize your lips you must keep your lips moisturized if you want them to stay healthy and therefore pink. If you are going outside, try applying a bit of petroleum jelly or lip balm and if you are inside, use some milk fat (ghee). * use pomegranate seeds and milk. Crush up the pomegranate seeds and mix it with some milk cream. If you apply this home remedy to your lips regularly, you will start to see them becoming redder and fuller. * apply cucumber juice simply slice a cucumber, rubbing it against your lips to allow the juices to soak on. If you do this for five minutes each day, you can lighten dark lips to a beautiful pink color. * mix rose petals in milk. Soak some rose petals in milk for a little bit of time. Then use the petals to make a paste, adding a few drops of both glycerin and honey. Apply the paste on your lips and wait fifteen minutes before gently rubbing it off using milk. * massage with lemon juice cut a thin slice from the lemon, sprinkling a bit of sugar on top and rub your lips with this combination each day. This works well because lemon works to naturally bleach your lips, returning them to their light, pink color while sugar works to remove dead skin cells. * mix sugar, honey and a little bit of olive or almond oil. Apply this to your lips, massaging it in for ten minutes.
