I work as a field executive and spend 6-7 hours in the field and drive tw. Recently I found that when I go to bed at night there is a huge back pain. Its only happen when I go to bed for sleep. Is it because I drive tw for more then 5 hours or something else? please suggest.

Hi if you have localized back pain with - no neurological symptoms like numbness, paresthesia, weakness in limbs etc, my advice is: - intensive physical therapy initially under supervision of a physiotherapist and then at home. - avoid forward bending, lifting heavy weights etc - take an analgesic like diclofenac or something which suits your body for 5-7 days - take muscle relaxant for same time as analgesic to relieve muscle spasm - ice packs at the site of pain, muscle spasm - local analgesic spray can be used but no massage is required let me know in a week time how you are feeling. I will actually ask you to get x ray of involved region of spine (ap & lateral) and send reports across to me so that I can advise further in a better manner. Hello, Is there any history of injury or hurt to the area? Any underlying medical condition? Medication: Meantime, take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. And wrap crepe bandage over it. Get back to me thereafter.

As you feel pain in knees, follow these usefultips for pain relief: * first check out bone mineral density (bmd). In case of low bmd, your calcium level in body are low. So take take calcium rich diet daily. Take a glass (300 ml) of full cream milk daily or 100 gm of cheese or 1-2 eggs regularly. * give a gentle oil massage to knees regularly and wrap your knees with cloth dipped in hot water for atleast 10-15 minutes. * wear knee cap or wrap crape bandage during walk for knee support. * sit atleast for 5-8 minutes in sunlight in morning or evening for vitamind. *avoid heal shoe and wear only flat shoes for balanced load on knees. * check out your blood sugar level and hemoglobin level in every 6 months. * if you have any history of rheumatoid arthritis in family then checkout your ra factor. * take guggalu tablets if himalaya one tablet daily for atleast 3 months. * take a piece of garlic, crush it and boil it a glass of milk and drink daily for fast pain relief.

Lately, I'm sensing a sort of vibration in my left knee. I usually go for early jogs 4-7 days a week just to stay tight. Now I'm even feeling it while walking too at time. Stop Jogging for 7 day. Wear knee cap. Learn knee exercises from Physiotherapist. Don't sit on floor. Take calcium and methylcobalmine supplement. Drink plenty of water and milk everyday.

Hello, We can't reverse the established pathology back, but we can control the process in the stage it is so that it wouldn't grow further. Medication: Give her Schwabe's Biocombination-19/ thrice daily and apply Topi-MP gel over the knees. Also, increase her dietary intake of calcium which is present in green leafy vegetables, milk, milk products, sea food, white legumes, dried fig, black-eyed peas, almonds, oranges, seasame seeds. And vitamin D which is essential for absorption of calcium in our body and is synthesized naturally after getting exposed to sunlight, so early morning sunlight for 10-15min., 2-3 times a day is mandatory. Apart from this, let her do walk daily along with physiotherapy will also help you.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana? lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Neck advice hot fomentation x twice daily. Neck exercises. Neck stretching. Postural correction. Shoulder shrugs. Core strengthening exercises. Take frequent breaks at work use cervical pillow.

Hi Mr. Lybrate-user after reading your complaints of back ache since 6 month duration with your working style of sitting for long hours, it's most likely a mechanical backache. I wanted to know if the pain is radiating to legs with any numbness in legs or any tingling sensation in foot. You have to focus on your ergonomics like changing in to a comfortable chair. Avoiding long hours of sitting. Your desk to chair distance and other ailments. Most importantly you have to start doing back exercises everyday concentrating more on core abdomen exercises and back strengthening exercises. Medicines will reduce the pain only temporarily. Home remedies- do the following twice daily: 1. Add 4tbsp fresh aloe vera pulp with half a tbsp home made turmeric powder and heat for a minute, then apply externally. Leave for 20 minutes, wash off with normal (tap) water. 2. Massage the skin with tomato pulp. Leave it for 15-20 minutes, wash off with normal (tap) water. 3. Prepare a fine paste of ripe papaya, oatmeal powder, milk cream and honey. Cover your face with this paste for 15 minutes. Wash it off with water. Yogasanas- sarvangasana, vajrasana, shavasana, anulom-vilom pranayam. Practice meditation. Avoid oily food, sweets, chocolates and icecreams. Increase your consumption of fruits (banana, apple, watermelon, papaya) and salads. Drink 4litres of water daily.

Drink 2-3 glass of water in the morning empty stomach, and 3-4 litres of water during the day daily. Walk for minimum 5 minutes. You may also mix two spoons of isabgol in a glass of warm milk and drink it just before you go to bed. It will help. Thank You

I am a 50 year old male. Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for the last three years. Recently the toes and fingers of my left foot have become numb. Doctors have prescribed vitamin injections. Good evening sir your continous sitting will be causing pain in your back and neck. What I would suggest you to do is to start with ankle toe movements. Then you could get up now and then and take a walk. Do not sit for too long. I will suggest you to follow the following exercises. > gentle ankle toe movements. > knee bending up and down while sitting > do a 3 stretches for your back with extension of the spine. > bend foward and try to touch your toes. This will enable good flexibilty to your spine. > rotate your neck. > do 5 shoulder shrugs to release upper neck and back tightness. Once you rech home you could take a hot water fermentation. That should be done only for 15 mins. Kindly do get back to me after a weeks time soo that I can update you on your progress. Thankyou.
