Hi Doctors, One of my family member has stone in gall bladder and it is detected a month ago. Please suggest if that can be resolved using medicines or operation is necessary. Thanks.

MS - General Surgery
General Surgeon, Pune
Two person of general population have gall stones. If there are no symptoms (silent stones), no treatment is required unless patient develops pain fever or jaundice. If patient has diabetes and similar ailments surgery is recommended even for silent stones. The symptomatic (nonsilent stone) patients are recommended surgery. Timing and type of surgery depends on the stage of the disease.

I am 72 years old I am suffering from acute gastric and constipation trouble from long time. I have to go toilet since to eight times during the day. Sometime I also suffer from pain in my stomach. Kindly suggest the precaution and medicine. I am not taking any medicine.

MD - Homeopathy
Homeopath, Aurangabad
Being constipated means your bowel movements are difficult or happen less often than normal. Almost everyone has it at some point in life, and it's usually not serious. Still, you'll feel much better when your system is back on track. The normal length of time between bowel movements varies widely from person to person. Some people have bowel movements three times a day. Others have them only once or twice a week. Going longer than three or more days without one is usually too long. After three days, the stool or feces become harder and tougher to pass. Homeopath can effectively help in such condition.

I am 19 I am suffering from indigestion all my reports are normal lft, cbc, ultrasound, thyroid, stool sample. Too much irritated and weakness .hair falling and sometimes red colour face .help me pls.

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

The solution to your problem is very simple. Change your lifestyle. And you will find that your digestion has improved considerably. Hair fall is a consequence of long term indigestion and low nutrition This can also be corrected with a healthy diet 1. Eat at the right time daily. long gap between meals does not help. ensure you include enough fibres in your diet to promote digestion - one bowl each of fresh fruits and boiled vegetables will give you sufficient fibre. Also included natural digestive aids like Ginger , cumin, coriander, mint - in fa t you can make a herbal tea out of the above ingredients and have it twice daily 2. Exercise for 30 minutes daily- this is a must and the best solution for all digestive issues. 3. sleep - avoid sleeping during g the day time. This reduces your digestive power. Try to catch a good 7hrs sleep at night

Hello sir, Please tell me what should we do to stop acidity and gastric problems?

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
Eat small meals. Instead of 3 big meals, have 5 small meals every 3-4 hours. Eat slowly. Don’t sleep on a full stomach. Try to have an early dinner. Make sure there is a gap of 3 hours between your last meal and bed time. Wear loose-fitting clothes. Avoid certain known foods which cause acidity like, coffee, tea, colas, and citrus fruits, oily and spicy food. If your weight is high – losing a few kilos will reduce acidity too. Keep a gap of 2 hours between exercise and meals. Drink at least 3 litres of water every day. Try meditation and yoga to minimise daily stress.

Dear lybrate user with the limited information provided it appears that you are suffering form indigestion issues. This is a common entity when we consume a high carbohydrate load and our intestines are not able to cater all of it, which is then converted to free compounds which later presents as flatulence and uneasiness. It is advisable if you can start exercising regularly along with intake of high fibre diet and liberal fluid intake. Some blood test can also be done if your problem persist. Hope this solves your query. Anything more then feel free to revert.

I am having pea size lump in the anus area. I feel it during stool discharge. I don't feel pain it is there for a long time. I have consulted doctor he told me it it is prolapses. Will it effect me or I will face any problem in future.

PGDMLS, PGDHHM, LLB, PhD Surgery, MS - General Surgery
General Surgeon, Gurgaon
It may not be significant. However, it can aggravate if precautions are not taken. Constipation and long period of sitting on commode and straining at stools tend to aggravate prolapse. Avoid these things. Take high fibre diet with lot of vegetables & fruits & lot of fluids without chillies & spices.

Although the gallstones cannot be removed with medicines but being a homoeopath and with an experience of 20 years besides me,I have developed certain technical medicinal combinations with which our gallstones will be removed completely but the percentage of removal of gallstones is 70% ( means if out of 100 patients ,70 patients were removed of gallstones.)This is very high percentage and I am very much confident about it.consult me if you dont want to go for surgery

Hi am facing heart burning last 2 year I have ulcer I do endoscopy my pain like hearatack but no vomiting doctor give some medicine no use and gastric problem also I have and I take pantocid some time pls give a idea how to deduce pain.

MBBS
General Physician,
Ulcer in endoscopy will require long treatment of H pylori (multiple drugs) which I think your doctor must have given you. If the pain is persistent then a long course of pantoprazole (pantocid) might be needed. Also a repeat endoscopy to rule out any new ulcer is to be done. Also if you keep fasting in Roza during Ramzaan then this problem might be increased so take pantocid regularly. Also you can start sitting in Vazrasan (like namaaz posture) 5 to 10 min after lunch & dinner (each meal) Take small meals multiple times in place of large meals. Follow this for 1-2 wks to See the changes. I hope you get well soon. If problem remains then please visist.
