•Start by cleaning your skin using a special cleansing gel or oil. Do not use products that contain alcohol or acid since they can damage your skin further. Steam your face for about 10-15 minutes to open clogged pores. Add a few drops of basil or rosemary in the water for a rejuvenating effect. •Next, gently exfoliate your skin. Use a gentle face scrub of a known brand. You could even make your own natural scrub by combining ground sugar and a little milk! This process will help you remove dirt, dead cells, blackheads and whiteheads that block your skin. •The third step involves using a good toner that would close the open pores, thus diminishing their appearance. Along with closing pores, toners also help to remove soap residue and makeup, which often render a large appearance to the pores. •Finally, use a light moisturizer, preferably a water-based one that would reduce the oiliness of your skin.

Hi. It's normal to loose up to 100 hair per day, and in most people, those hairs grow back. But many men -- and some women -- lose hair as they grow older. You can also lose your hair if you have certain diseases, such as thyroid problems, diabetes, or lupus. If you take certain medicines or have chemotherapy for cancer, you may also lose your hair. Other causes are stress, a low protein diet, a family history, use of bore water, or nutritional deficiencies. Premature greying could be hereditary, nutritional deficiencies or thyroid dysfunction. Need to rule out any causative factor or underlying medical condition. Management: Take diet rich in protein like non-veg., eggs (it's loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, Vitamin B12, iron, zinc and Omega 6 fatty acids in large amounts and biotin) , different pulses & legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. walnuts and almonds); iron-rich food like green vegetables, dates, carrots, prunes, green peas; also oats, shrimp, take flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take low-fat dairy products (they also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources) Take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) Avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Medication: Take homoeopathic Rx - Schwabe's Acid Phos. 200, Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa Tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Also, use Schwabe's Arnica shampoo and Hair Growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). Hi, Thanks for writing in. Hair loss and itchy scalp with dandruff is related to each other. You are having seborrheic dermatitis of scalp. You need to take Antifungal medication first after that you will need antidandruff shampoo, lotion followed by hair growth serum. A consultation with dermatologist would be helpful in better and effective solution to your problem. Hope this helps

DEAR Lybrate USER. A) apply paste of fresh lemon juice and fine powder of turmeric on pimples, two times in a day. B) take 30 ml of triphala juice and 10 ml of honey early in the morning and at night before sleep…. C) take 2-2 tablets of chandraprabha vati and sutshekhar rasa after meals. I am 64 years old. I have checked sugar fasting and pp. Both the results are normal 87 and 128. However there us a remark that pp urine sugar present. Please advise me.

Report of pp urine may not be correct. Get it rechecked. If your pp blood sugar is 128 do not worry about urine sugar. You are not a diabetic.

Dear Lybrate user. I can understand. Penis curved towards right or left or downward is always normal and this can be seen with majority of people. This mostly happen due to masturbation. People who use right hand for masturbation, their penis will be curved to the left and the opposite with left handlers. There are other reasons too. This phenomenon is quite normal and there is nothing to worry. In fact, curved penis will give you more pleasure when you engage in vaginal intercourse than straight penis simply because curvature provides more friction. Enjoy your curve. Fungal infection in the nails is caused by an overgrowth of fungi in your nails. When the growth of fungus happens on the fingernails or toenails, it is known as onychomycosis or tinea unguium.

Here are the probable causes of why you might get a fungal nail infection:

  1. Diabetes
  2. Problems in your circulatory system
  3. Age
  4. Artificial nails
  5. Swimming in public pools
  6. Nail injuries
  7. Skin injuries surrounding the nail
  8. Fingers or toes, which have been moist for an extended period of time
  9. Immune system problems
  10. Wearing shoes which have enclosed toes

It is also worth noting that fungal infections happen much more frequently in your toenail as compared to your fingernails, this is because of two main reasons. I got migraine headaches how can I manage with this I want a treatment any home remedy.?

Try to apply ice cubes covered with any cloth for some time, or take hot fomentation, vapourization. Try to find which one is giving better relief for your migraine. Press the neck muscles, & over the head, temple[sides]] of forehead] in circular, clockwise, & anti clock wise way. Doing this daily also will show effect in reducing the intensity & frequency of the attacks of ha. Take plenty of water[better to take minimum 1 litre of lukewarm water in morning with empty stomach is better for all purpose]. If you find any relation with any food or any stress related thing that causing you getting, then try to avoid that like sun exposure. Have good sleep. Practicing daily pranayama, breathing exercises also will help in best way. Take lemon & ginger mixed tea r warm water to get relief from this pain, for that time being.

Sesame or olive oil is a great emollient for the skin and so you can use it as a moisturizer. You can make your own facial scrub out of ground oatmeal and almonds and a few spoons of honey. Rinse your face with warm water and then apply a generous amount of this face scrub to your face. Massage your skin gently for several minutes and then rinse your face well with warm water. The oatmeal and honey help to nourish your skin while the ground almonds moisturize your skin. Mashed bananas with honey are a great moisturizer. Soak a small cotton ball in fresh tomato juice and rub it gently on your skin as tomato juice acts as a great natural astringent. Mashed avocado with full-fat milk is a great home remedy for dry skin. Mix equal amounts of virgin coconut oil and peanut oil. Add a few drops of jojoba oil to this blend and then mix in a few spoons of sugar. Massage your entire body with this mixture before your shower. This mixture acts as an effective scrub, removing all dead cells and revealing the lower layer of skin.

You should follow a balanced diet, with salads, dairy products, green leafy vegetables, and fruits as this will help to reduce your risk of hair and skin problems. Yogurt and yogurt-based products, whole grain foods, fish, and nuts will promote healthy hair growth and so they should be included in your daily diet plan. Make sure that you follow a balanced diet plan that contains adequate minerals and vitamins. This will promote skin health and give your skin a healthy glow.

dear friend, please start taking balance diet and a lot of water daily. add some extra proteins, salads and fresh fruits in this. start some physical exercise like running. Hello, The nutritional recommendations for weight control and loosing fat include the following: - Emphasize weight control by exercising daily and not taking in too many calories. Cycling and running is very beneficial for you. - The bulk of your diet should consist of healthy fats (liquid vegetable oils such as olive, soy, mustard, sunflower, and peanut) and healthy carbohydrates (fruits, vegetables, and whole-grain foods such as whole-wheat bread, oatmeal, and brown rice, sweet potatoes etc. - If both the fats and carbohydrates in your diet are healthy, you probably do not have to worry much about the percentages of total calories coming from each. - Eat plenty of vegetables and fruits (six to eight servings per day). - Eat moderate amounts of healthy sources of protein (nuts, legumes, fish, poultry, and eggs). - Limit dairy consumption—other than nonfat dairy products—to one to two servings a day. - Minimize the consumption of red meat, butter, refined grains (including white bread, white rice, and white pasta), potatoes, and sugar.
