Dr. it's been more than 6 months I'm having headache. Initially it use to moves all over in my head various parts then started ear pain with tinnitus sound followed with jaw and teeth pain. I tried many medicines over this 6 months but no use. Since 1 week headache is slightly reduced but having jaw pain and Ear pain and severe hair fall. Hair is not normal it's like just falling a lot. Doctor yes I do accept I'm going through a lot of personal problems since 6 to 8 months and under stress. I even mentioned it to my Dr. here he said probably Tension headache and gv medicines but it's not helping me. I developed lot of white hair, ear pain, Jaw pain, at times flashes in front of eyes and hair fall. Dr. are these signs of stress or an indication to serious health problems. I'm scared is it any Cancer or Brain Tumour? ? . Dr. one friend suggested to get an MRI done. I'm really confused. Do you think I should get an MRI done? You should visit md physician. Consult good doctor. 6 months is abnormal thing. Mri helps in diagnosis of soft tissue but it should be referred and diagnosed by doctor. As a dentist I can suggest you to visit a good dentist because tooth ache can be from jaw to ear to head known as a reffered pain. This pain can be so severe that it can wake you up in middle of night also. So better to visit a dentist also. Take care. Wish you healthy life ahead.

Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with surgical, gum strengthening procedure. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks. Advance procedures can be done with laser. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.

It is possible to recover from having loose teeth. However, you don't have time to waste! loose teeth or teeth shifting around in the mouth is a sure sign that gum disease has been active in the mouth for years. The teeth become loose when the bone and ligament that holds them in place is being destroyed. The truth is that if a person with loose teeth doesn't change their course, their teeth are going to drop out of their mouth one at a time. Gum disease generally develops because of improper brushing and flossing habits, although underlying medical conditions may have a correlation to greater incidence. The bacteria that are found in the mouth as a result of these poor habits begin to affect the surrounding bone and tissues below the gumline. Consult a periodontist at the earliest.

Hi , I am 21 year old , my jaw is not open perfectly, I chewing tobacco, so please tell me treatment.
Quit habits strictly. Seems like you have oral submucous fibrosis (osmf). Kindly consult an oral & maxillo facial surgeon in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need conservative or surgical management for mouth opening depending upon the stage of osmf. Advise full mouth opening, ballooning exercise & side to side movement of the jaw. Wrap 25 to 30 ice-cream sticks, make a bundle, put it between upper & lower front teeth for 15 minutes thrice a day increase 1 sticks each day.

After 24 hours, rinse with your mouth with a solution made of 1/2 teaspoon salt and 8 ounces of warm water. Do not drink from a straw for the first 24 hours. Do not smoke, which can inhibit healing. An ice pack applied to the area will keep swelling to a minimum. Take pain medications as prescribed. The swelling usually subsides after 48 hours. Drink lots of fluid and eat nutritious soft food on the day of the extraction. You can eat normally as soon as you are comfortable. Eat soft foods, such as soup, pudding, yogurt, or applesauce the day after the extraction.

Hello, I have some cavity in my teeth. So I need help. I am really surfing from a bad pain of this cavity. So please help me how I can make my teeth, cavity free. I already tried many paste for this, buy they did not worked. Thanks.

PERIODONTIST, B.D.S.
Dentist, Navi Mumbai
Hi lybrate-user if you have bad pain then first take analgesics. Then take a appointment from dentist for filling of cavities. The tooth causing bad pain will definitely go for root canal treatment. Tooth pastes are preventive measures means it will prevent cavity formation but it won't help you in cavities which are already present in teeth. After your treatment, you can use any fluoride containing tooth paste it will help you in further prevention of cavities.

Approximately 4-6 gms of sodium is sufficient for your daily needs. This equals about 2 tsps of common salt. 2-3 tsps of sugar can suffice daily, however this should include any sweets, dessert, and your tea, coffee etc. Try to avoid free sugar intake.... instead have dried fruits & fresh fruits.

PTFE (monofilament) floss: The single filament (PTFE) floss, though slightly expensive, is very flexible as it slides easily between teeth. It is anti-resistant to shredding and enters even the teeth with tight spaces in between.
