•A change in taste may result from dehydration, glossitis, a dry mouth, allergies, salivary glands infections, lack of zinc and vitamin B12, and polyps in the nose. •Others include breathing through the mouth, inflamed upper airways, and autoimmune diseases like Sjogren's syndrome and Bell's palsy. •Some injuries and traumas that cause a bitter taste include head, nerve, mouth and nose injuries, and biting your tongue. •Dental appliances such as braces, any surgery on your ear, nose, teeth or throat, and radiation therapy on your neck or head cause a bitter taste in mouth. •Gargle with water. Tooth pain occurs when nerve endings of teeths are exposed and irritated. Sensodyne toothpaste will reduce only the sensetivity for temporary period, but if infection is present then antibiotics are needed along with painkiller. Take food rich in calcium and vitamin c.

It takes time to heal. 2016 revision of the clinical practice guideline for the management of candidiasis lists a large number of specific treatment regimens for Candida infections that involve different Candida species, forms of antifungal drug resistance, immune statuses, and infection localization and severity normally a dentist would prescribe an antifungal cream like candida containing clotrimazole if they do not work then, fluconazole is the proven treatment. In severe cases amphotericin B will be prescribed also it is important your mother uses chlorhexidine mouthwash regularly. And in case she is wearing dentures she should wash them and keep them clean also. And she should not be on any steroid treatment etc. Also it is importa if it doeant get treated.

Wisdom Tooth, Third Molar

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Oral And Maxillofacial Surgeon, Kanpur
Wisdom Tooth, Third Molar

Now a days, it is believed that wisdom tooth are vestigial organs, they are of no use, for chewing our food remaining 2 molars are sufficient.
Third molars erupted at the age of 18 to 25, until then our jaw growth is completed, so if there is no space in an individual's jaw to accommodate this new erupting molar, the problem starts, it creates pressure on adjacent 2nd molar and causes pain and in long term it causes damage to the 2nd molar.

Thus it is almost always advised to get the third molar removed once it creates problem, or accidentally found on x ray. In western countries there is a protocol to remove all third molars in a single appointment, wether they create problem or not.

I hope it helps you a bit, rest if there is any query, do msg me.

This could b either due to sensitivity due to loss of enamel surface or due to decay of tooth. Tooth decay can b treated by filling of tooth or by rct n capping of the decay is deep. Sensitivity can b reduced by using desensitizing toothpaste such as senquelf or sensodyne toothpaste by rubbing some amount of toothpaste onto your tooth surface n wait till 5 mins before rinsing it off. Get your teeth evaluated by dentist to know the cause of your problem n get treated accordingly. Regsrds.

Ayurvedic Dental Techniques Oil Pulling

Ayurvedic Dental Techniques Oil Pulling

A common man follows a standard daily oral hygiene routine, which entails brushing one’s teeth and rinsing one’s mouth. At the most, some people who are extra conscious about their oral hygiene use dental floss or some branded mouthwash for the fresh feeling. But, the question remains, is it enough?

From the time you wake up till the time you go back to sleep, your mouth is susceptible to a large amount of attacks from bacteria, which enter your body through your mouth. This results in unwanted and harmful dental diseases. This can happen in spite of the fact that people regularly and religiously follow their daily oral hygiene as well as their trips to the dentist for regular clean-ups. So what is that extra something that can help get rid of the bacteria trying to take permanent residence in your mouth?

Oil Pulling:

Oil pulling is an ancient and traditional Ayurvedic technique which is your best bet to detoxify your mouth from that pesky bacterium along with whitening and cleaning of your teeth. It is also a proven cure for innumerable diseases like skin infections, arthritis, liver and stomach problems, curing headaches and migraines, throat infections etc. Any type of edible oil can be used for this highly beneficial Ayurvedic technique.

Following are a set of instructions for the process of how oil pulling is done:

  1. Oil pulling process should be conducted immediately after waking up before eating or drinking anything.
  2. Choose edible oil like sesame, coconut or olive oil for this purpose.
  3. Take not more than 2 tablespoons of oil in the mouth and swish it i.e. is move it around the mouth for at least 20 minutes moving it throughout the mouth and along the gums and in between the teeth also.
  4. Avoid decreasing the time limit for swishing the oil in the mouth. By decreasing the time you might not be able to completely detoxify your mouth and by increasing the time the risks of absorbing the toxins back in the mouth and stomach are high. To know when the time is right to stop swishing the oil in your mouth, you can out a little oil from your mouth. If the oil has thinned and turned white or milky then it is time to spit out the rest of the oil from your mouth.
  5. After spitting out the oil, rinse and gargle your mouth with warm water and use a tongue cleaner to remove all residue of the oil.

Repeat this process everyday for satisfying results.

Benefits of oil pulling:

  1. The main cause of bad breath in your mouth is tooth decay which is caused by a bacterium which is called Streptococcus mutans bacteria. Oil pulling is an attested form of Ayurvedic technique which gets rid of this bacterium from your mouth permanently.
  2. Teeth and gum related diseases like gingivitis and periodontists are also cured.
  3. It helps to reduce in dental cavities.
  4. Oil pulling invigorates the lymphatic system by depleting the toxins in the vital organs of the body.
  5. Helps in getting whiter and brighter teeth.

While oil pulling is a very involved technique, a quicker way to adopt Ayurveda on a daily basis is the use of tooth powder. Tooth powder is an Ayurvedic replacement to toothpaste without the harmful chemicals (especially fluoride) that go into our daily minty and frothy brushing experience. It has proven to be much more effective than tooth paste in getting rid of yellowness of teeth, gingivitis and bleeding gums

Teeth cannot become white by brushing n all. U require teeth bleaching for bright white teeth. And after treatment avoid smoking and tea.

Hi doctors I had a tooth problem my last two teeth has a black patch and it's paining continues what to do?
A black patch on your teeth is suggestive of tooth decay. As you said that there is pain too, you surely require to get those teeth treated at the earliest. Depending on the extent of decay your teeth may require filling or root canal treatment. Tooth decay if left unattended will go on increasing leading to loss of your teeth. Please visit your dentist at the earliest.

Depend upon the overall growth of the individual. Teething is a gradual process. Starts from age of 6 months and last up to age of 3 years. So don't worry check for proper nutrition of the child if you have any doubt you can visit to any nearby dentist.
