I have red eyes from last 2 days. What should I do?

: red eye has many causes. You hav to see if it is associated with blurring of vision, pain, discharge and other complaints. But commonly its allergic or infective in origin ie allergic or infective conjuvctivitis. Which has simple treatment protocol. Of a course of topical antibiotics, antiinflammatory and tear substitutes. But still its wise to see an ophthalmologist for a thorough slit lamp examination to rule out other differentials for acute red eye.

Sir maine eye lasik krwaya tha but after 5 mnths left eye mai fir se vision problem ho rhi hai blue sa dikhai deta hai . Can anyone suggest me please what will i do now ?

Go back to the doctor who did LASIK or if you are in a different city go to a doctor there who does LASIK. Get your power checked an importantly get your retina checked once.

Hello, get your eyes tested from an opthalmologist. Include the following for getting better vision: vitamins a, c, e, and minerals like copper and zinc are essential to eyesight. Get the antioxidants from dark leafy greens, egg yolks, yellow peppers, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and carrots. Include garlic and onions. Blueberries, grapes as they have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can help improve your vision. Dha is a fatty acid found in coldwater fish like salmon, sardines and mackerel. Exercises for strengthening eye muscles: -begin by partially closing your eyes; the lids should only be halfway shut. After holding for 10-15 seconds, close your eyes very slowly. Take a few deep breaths to increase oxygen in the blood. -warm your eyes. Rub your palms together to create heat, and then place them against your eyes for five seconds. Repeat this three times. -hold a pen at arm's length. Focus your gaze on the tip of the pen. Bring the pen closer to your nose at a slow and steady pace. Repeat this exercise 5-10 times. -concentrate your vision on the tip of your nose. Then shift your gaze to an object further away, either at arm's length or 20 feet away. Then shift your eyes back to the tip of your nose. Repeat this exercise 10 times. -sit in a relaxed but upright position. Begin by look to the left-most position (without moving your head) and hold to stretch your eye muscles. Hold for 5 counts. Blink and return your gaze back to look straight in front of you. Then look to the right-most position with your gaze and hold for 5 counts. Repeat 3 times, blinking between each hold. Then, repeat this exercise looking up and then down. Do not forget about blinking. -sit in a relaxed but upright position. Look up and to your right for 5 seconds. Return your gaze to center. Look up to and to your left for 5 seconds. Return your gaze to center. Look down and to your right for 5 seconds. Insufficient sleep may weaken your vision, so shoot for 8 hours of sound sleep a night. Rest your eyes 10 minutes for every 50 minutes spent reading or in front of the computer. If your eyes feel overly tired, lie down and place cooling cucumber slices over your eyelids. Medication: take homoeopathic medicine which will help you in preventing first and then reducing the power of your eyes (if the eye power is less). Take physostigma 6/ thrice daily for 4-6 months and instill euphrasia eye drops twice a day. Thereafter, revert back for further guidance.

First of all it is important to assess the degree of squint. Squint upto even 20 -30 prism dioptres can be corrected with prismatic glasses most of the times. But before deciding on that you need complete squint evaluation.

Do turmeric fomentation, take a peice of turmeric crush it and make a small pottali, then dip into leukwarm water, squeez the water from pottali and placed over closed eye on and off slowly slowly. For 2 to 3 minutes at least 2 times in a day.

Hello, you should do the below given exercises to strengthen your ocular muscles. Exercises for eyes: warm your eyes. Rub your palms together to create heat, and then place them against your eyes for five seconds. Repeat this three times. Roll your eyes. Start by looking up and then slowly circle 10 times clockwise and 10 times counterclockwise. Focus. Hold a pen at arm's length, focus your eyes on it, and slowly bring the pen closer until it's about 6 inches away from your nose. Then slowly move it back, keeping your eyes focused on the pen, 10 times in all. Massage your temples. Using your thumb knuckles, massage your temples in small circles, 20 times in one direction and 20 in the other. Repeat the same actions above the mid-point of the eyebrows at the forehead, then below the eyes on both sides of the bridge of the nose. Take a mini-nap. Put your head back, close your eyes, and relax for 3 minutes. Insufficient sleep may weaken your vision, so shoot for 8 hours of sound sleep a night. Rest your eyes 10 minutes for every 50 minutes spent reading or in front of the computer. If your eyes feel overly tired, lie down and place cooling cucumber slices over your eyelids.

Sir I have eye sight of -6 & -7 for left and right eye respectively. Sir for few exams they are asking 6/6, 6/9, 6/12 etc. As eye power restrictions. Myopic power of -6 & -7 comes under 6/9 or 6/12 is my question? Suggest me with few natural methods to decrease eye sight.

Instructions for computer use: Take frequent breaks while you are working Every 20-25 mins take break to look away from screen Blink more frequently' Level of screen should be below the level of eyes Ac should not blow directly on your face. Also get your eyes checked for any spectacle power Here are the instructions for mobile phone use: 1. Blink, blink and blink again. Blinking often (and for more than a second) keeps your eyes moist and reduces dryness and irritation. We tend blink about a third less than we normally would when we stare at our smartphone screens, which starves our poor peepers of protective tears. Keep your eyes wet by blinking about 10 times every 20 minutes or so and you should be good to go. 2. Minimize glare. Unless you have a smartphone equipped with anti-glare Corning Gorilla Glass or use a matte screen protector film, you’re probably coping with a fair amount of annoying reflective glare. 3. Take breaks. Follow 20-20-20 rule. The concept is to take a break from looking at your screen every 20 minutes for 20 seconds while looking at something 20 feet away. Doing so relaxes your eye muscles 4. Adjust your brightness. Having your screen too bright or too dark stresses your eyes out and can cause problems maintaining focus. To eliminate either issue in about a matter of seconds, simply go into your smartphone settings and adjust your screen brightness so it’s about the same as the light level in the environment around you 5. Tweak your text size and contrast. Adjusting your smartphone text contrast and size also provides a little much-needed relief. 6. Keep a clean screen. Routinely wipe down your smartphone screen with a dry (not wet!) cleaning cloth to remove distracting dust, grime, smudges and fingerprints. 7. Hold your smartphone farther away. Try holding yours at least 16 to 18 inches away from your eyes to give your eyes a break.

Hello, Get your eyes tested first. Avoid long use of mobile/ computers/ T.V. Give your eyes enough rest, keep blinking eyes frequently while working on mobile or computer. Use Euphrasia eye drops twice daily.
