5 Hidden Causes of Acne, Revealed!

5 Hidden Causes of Acne, Revealed!

5 hidden causes of acne, revealed!

Acne is a skin condition that occurs when the openings of oil glands become clogged with oil and dead skin cells. Acne usually appears on the face, neck, chest, back and shoulders. The pimples and bumps heal slowly, and when one begins to disappear, others seem to crop up. Depending on its severity, acne can cause emotional distress and can also scar the skin. But what causes the recurrence of breakouts?

These are attributed to certain hidden causes, which are:

1. Your drug prescriptions

Steroids found in prescription drugs are a key offender, whether taken internally or topically. If taken internally, the offending ingredient will be listed as prednisone, which is the tablet form of steroid. Prednisone is used to treat inflammatory diseases like poison ivy, allergies and arthritis. If medications are taken topically, it could aggravate acne or cause steroid acne. Oral contraceptives are also a common cause of acne.

2. Your beauty routine

Acne caused by topical lotions, creams and makeup are known as acne cosmetica, commonly appearing on face, neck, hairline and scalp. Applying a product regularly to an acne-prone area can do more harm than good. Some people go to bed with ointments or oils in their hair that can get on the pillowcase and then rub on your face. It's best to put a clean towel over your pillowcase every night to prevent buildup.

3. Your cell phone

Cell phones gather all kinds of dirt and bacteria and are a big cause of acne on the chin and around the mouth. Wiping down the screen of your smartphones every day with alcohol or cleaning wipes will keep your phone and your face clean.

4. Using toothpaste to treat a zit

Certain toothpaste can actually cause you to develop acne or an acne-like eruption on the lower parts of your face, including your chin. Fluoride and other whitening and anti-cavity ingredients are quite abrasive and could potentially burn your skin, cause irritation and initiate breakouts.

5. Your workout gear

It's not the act of exercising that is causing breakouts but other issues. If you are using a communal yoga mat, you may be on the side that someone else's feet or perspiration had touched before, with the physical contact causing breakouts. It's best to put a clean towel over it before working out, even if it is your personal mat.

Also, workout gear that constantly rubs in a certain area can cause frictional acne. Constant rubbing ends up making you sweat, causing skin irritation and eventually developing into tiny red bumps. Though it looks like a heat rash, it is actually acne.

I have white dots spreading on face so can you give me solution for this skin problem.
One of the best answers on how to get rid of white patches on skin is to add two tablespoons of home with a teaspoon of sandalwood paste, turmeric powder, rice powder and apply it to the affected area of your skin. Let it be on your skin for 10 to 12 minutes and then you can wash the mixture off. You will see a reduction in the white spots after regular use for a few months.

Burn Repair Surgery - How Effective It Is?

Burn Repair Surgery - How Effective It Is?

A burn scar on your skin does not only spoil your appearance, but also hampers your self-confidence. You can undertake a plastic surgery in order to eliminate burn scars and burn marks. A burn repair surgery is an effective way to fix any previous or fresh burn scars. Although a burn scar cannot be totally eliminated, this surgery helps in improving basic functions and makes the scar less prominent or noticeable.

About Burn Repair Surgery: There are two types of burn repair surgeries. An acute burn surgery is carried out immediately after a burn injury has been inflicted. It is undertaken in a hospital by a team of surgeons who specialize in acute burn repair surgeries.

A re-constructive burn surgery is usually carried out after the initial burn scar heals. Re-constructive burn surgery aims at improving both the functional appearance and the cosmetic appearance of a burn scar. This form of burn surgery incorporates the modification of the scar tissue. The treatment procedure for scar tissues requires several months to be successful. New scar contractures may appear for a long time after an injury. Facial burn scars, which cause problems with the eyes, lips, nose and cause hair loss can be rectified. Abnormally thick, white and discolored scars can also be lightened by undergoing a burn repair surgery.

Procedure: The surgical procedure of burn repair surgery primarily involves scar release methods. After a tight scar has been released, the opening or incision made in the skin is repaired. Several techniques are applied for the purpose of closing the wounds. These include skin grafts and skin rearrangement or Z-plasty. Sometimes, more advanced flaps are required. This depends on the location of the scar and the desired results. Minor procedures are performed in the form of an outpatient surgery, but in case of larger grafts and flaps, inpatient facility is required.

After undergoing the surgery, you must follow your surgeon's care instructions properly for effective healing. This would also enable you to have a long-term effect and improved appearance of burn scars. Follow-up appointments with your surgeon after the surgery are essential.

Before deciding on undergoing a burn repair surgery, you must consult an efficient cosmetic surgeon and discuss about the surgical procedure. You should know all important facts regarding the surgery and also have an idea about the results, which would be obtained. Non-surgical therapies can also be undertaken for repairing burn scars, which include scar massage, application of pressure garments and some other topical therapies. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Cosmetic/Plastic Surgeon.

Dark circles are mainly due to udavarta (improper functions of all vaat). Its mainy due to 1) dharniya vega (urges, should b controled, but you arent) like chinta-stress, bhaya-fear, shoka-, krodha-short temper, maan- ego, lobha-greedy etc mental condition you should control your self 2) adharniya vega (urges that shouldnt be controlled, but you are controling) like sleep, urine, stool, hunger, thirst, yawn, sneeze, vomit etc. Main treatment is to stop causative factor among this. Also there are some ayurveda medicine, lepa-cream, face treatment, or panchkarma (detoxification) will definately help you kumkumadi lepa (nagarjuna) is also a good cream. Start with a good sunscreen. Also ensure you are not getting acidity and dry skin as these can lead to increase in such patches. Increase your vitamin c intake. If it doesn't lighten up with these measures over next 2-4 weeks then consult a dermatologist.

Im losing my hair and heavy dandruff and my hair also look like non thickness and also changed the colour of my hair ...
Hello change in colour of hair, hair fall, dry brittle hair are all signs of mineral deficiency in hair. Oiling does help in conditioning the scalp. It is important to use oil 3 /week and wash it 3/week. But when the person has dandruff then he should wash daily with shampoo. Dandruff is a generalised term but under this heading there are many other disorders. It can be psoriasis, dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, pityriasis amentecia etc. It is important to check the scalp for thinning of hair and dandruff. Consult trichologist.

Include lots of green leafy vegetables and sweet juicy fruits. Dairy products such as milk and fresh yogurt will also help. Fresh coconut is also considered excellent "hair food" -- sprinkle grated coconut over salads, diced fresh fruit, or rice. 1. Green Leafy Vegetables: Regular intake of Green leafy Vegetables - Spinach, Lettuce, Leafy Greens, Turnip Greens, Broccoli, Beans and Green Peppers are rich in nutrients that help and promote Hair growth. 2. Other Vegetables and Fruits: Two fresh fruits per day :- cut and eat with fruit skin, no juice. 3. Sprouts: Green gram dhal Sprout. There are so many sprouts like Mung Beans, Green gram dhal, Peas It is also very easy to prepare! Soak Green gram dhal in an air tight Box . Then in the afternoon strain the water and close the box, put the box in a dark place. In the Morning the sprouts will be ready for you to Eat. It will be very effective when taken with the morning meal. 4 Almonds/4 Walnuts on alternate day?s and 2Dates/2Figs on also alternate day?s and 2 prunes daily. 5. Good news for Fish lovers! Fish contains nutrients that will make hair shiny and strong while promoting hair growth. It contains Omega 3 fatty acids which help nourish hair very well. Those who don?t want to eat fish or are vegetarians can take Sea cod Tablets. It is extremely beneficial. 6. One glass of Milk per day if possible cow?s milk. 7. One spoon ghee per day. 8. Soya Bean: Proteins rich for hair growth is a must! If your a vegetarian and are on a hunt for that perfect source of proteins, then your search ends here. This is the best food for hair growth. Soybeans has 40% proteins and a great deal of good fats which are also much needed for hair growth. 9. 10 ? 12 glass of water per day 10. Cooking with certain spices adds flavor to your food and provides nourishment for your hair. Cumin, turmeric and black pepper are some "hair-friendly" spices. Add a healthy pinch of each to single-portion soups and stews as they are cooking. Saut 1/8 -1/4 teaspoon each of the three spices in a teaspoon of ghee (clarified butter) or olive OIL and add to cooked veggies. Roasted ground cumin and ground black pepper can be sprinkled over fresh yogurt. for further query, you may consult me.

I am losing hairs daily. How can I regrow hairs in bald areas and keep my roots/follicles strong?
1. Use mild shampoo to wash hair (you can make your own shampoo using reetha and shikakai at home). 2. Stop using conditioners. Use natural conditioners like egg, yogurt and lemon. 3. Massage your scalp with a mix of oils like olive, coconut, sesame, castor oil at night. 4. Apply raw amla juice on hair thrice a week. 5. Rub your scalp with the juice of white onion. 6. Use a paste of bhringraj on hair. 7. You can use some good hair packs like - fenugreek and yogurt, egg and green tea. 8. You can rinse your hair with organic apple cider vinegar after washing your hair to maintain pH balance of your hair.
