A baby girl of 1 month 5 days. Has a harnia by sonography report. Sometimes deschsrging blood and yellow liquid from her nob. She takes so much pressure while motion. Feeding is proper. Sleeping is not so good as like normal baby. Please advice.

Kindly mention the place where there is hernia. If it is around the umbilicus nothing is to be done upto 2 years of age it will resolve on its own. Rest can be advised only after examination.

The maximum recommended amount of salt for babies and children is: Up to 12 months – less than 1g of salt a day (less than 0.4g sodium) 1 to 3 years – 2g of salt a day (0.8g sodium) 4 to 6 years – 3g of salt a day (1.2g sodium) 7 to 10 years – 5g of salt a day (2g sodium) 11 years and over – 6g of salt a day (2.4g sodium)

My grand daughter of age 4 yrs goes for urination every 20, 25 minutes at home and play school. She doesn't drink much water. It was going on for some time now. What may be the the reason, doctor?

Separation Anxiety
Anxiety provoked in a young child by separation or the threat of separation from its mother or main carer. Separation anxiety can begin before a child’s first birthday, and may pop up again or last until a child is four years old, but both the intensity level and timing of separation anxiety vary tremendously from child to child. A little worry over leaving mom or dad is normal, even when your child is older. You can ease your child’s separation anxiety by staying patient and consistent, and by gently but firmly setting limits.

For children with normal separation anxiety, there are steps you can take to make the process of separation anxiety easier.

1. Practice separation. Leave your child with a caregiver for brief periods and short distances at first.
2. Schedule separations after naps or feedings. Babies are more susceptible to separation anxiety when they’re tired or hungry.
3. Develop a “goodbye” ritual. Rituals are reassuring and can be as simple as a special wave through the window or a goodbye kiss.
4. Keep familiar surroundings when possible and make new surroundings familiar. Have the sitter come to your house. When your child is away from home, let him or her bring a familiar object.
5. Have a consistent primary caregiver. If you hire a caregiver, try to keep him or her on the job.
6. Leave without fanfare. Tell your child you are leaving and that you will return, then go—don’t stall.
7. Minimize scary television. Your child is less likely to be fearful if the shows you watch are not frightening.
8. Try not to give in. Reassure your child that he or she will be just fine—setting limits will help the adjustment to separation.

Abnormal separation anxiety needs expert assistance. Consult a psychologist for advise and intervention.

There r some galactogauges available like satavary, which you can take to increase the milk production. If the child is still not getting enough milk then you have to give him formula milk.

My daughter has stone in gallbladder. No reason has been observed in her all tests of stone. Her stone is increased by 3mm from last year. It is 6mm now. I don't want to increase that more. What should be her diet. Do I should exclude tomato. Cabbage pumpkin. Bottle Gourd. chocolate from her diet.

1 avoid breast feed baby while lying on side always feed in sitting little inclined position. 2. Do burping in between feed and at the end of feed.(by holding her on your shoulder and patting on her back till gas comes out from his mouth.

Dear, Your baby has blocked passage of tears.Normally tears flow into nose through a passage called nasolacrimal duct.Some babies have a blocked duct. Don't worry, most of the time they get corrected over time.All you need to do is called Lacrimal massage. At the inner upper corner of the eye near the nose is the lacrimal sac is the tears gland storage. Gently using your little finger massage over the nose at the junction of nose and eye inner corner daily few times. Keep doing this for few weeks. You will find improvement. Enjoy parenthood. Do not force her eat something. At this age kid have something called temper tantrums. By this she will try to assert her will and personality. Let her be. Just make sure she does not have anything else like biscuits, wafers, kurkure etc in between. That can be a reason she does not feel hungry and finds home food less tasty than the bisciuts and wafers.

He is suffering from constipation.  he should be on a good fibre rich diet. Give plenty of water.  regular laxative if needed along with a good diet plan. As constipation is a chronic problem in most cases and most common cause is habitual constipation.  You must ensure a regular bowel time after a drink irrespective of passage of stool. He should be sitting for sometime say 10_ 15 minutes in a fixed time daily in a Indian style toilet. She appears  to be a fussy eater. Most importantly you need to be patient with her. Don't shout or scream while feeding her. Try to make her feeding time fun or playtime. After not giving any food for 3 hrs at least make him sit with the food he likes (solid foods not pastes or liquids) with spoon and katori or fork. Let him at least play with the food for some time. If he likes milk a lot then try to give solid like plain rice, oats. Chatu. With the pediasure You can have a deal with him. He will take 1 sip milk and 1 bite of something  This way he will learn to chew Threptin  biscuits are good to taste and are rich in protein (casein) Avoid giving him chips fast food Makes small pieces of food  and ask  her to try just 1 bite. If he likes the taste she will have another. If he likes chicken. Give him chicken in different  ways. Introduce him to egg. Boiled or omelette whatever he likes. Play with him till he feels tired. Playing running will improve digestion. Don't loose temper You can give him  one egg a day Cucumbers made into small pieces will help  with problem of flatulence. Children have to deal with new  food, new habits. So they act out. Do not get flustered if he criesmakes a scene. Sit quietly, go to another room, ignore him. He will learn that bad behaviour  will not allow him to get her own way. I know it's very difficult but keep trying as that's the best you can give him. Pain  abdomen  may be due indigestion earmarked, gastritis. Good hand hygiene: Regular nail trimming Washing hand after each toilet visit. And before taking any food in any form Also take care of drinking water quality. My baby is of 2 month. Whenever I feed her, she do green potty with a lot of mucus in that and her stomach gets filled up with gas. Due to gas she cries a lot and cannot sleep also in morning or at night. What should I do though my diet is normal without oil and spices.

This is normal in 2 month old infants and they pass motion with every feed and you must not give bottle feed but only breast milk. For gas, do burping well and Colic aid drops also can be given.

This way you can take a glance to assess sounds that would otherwise break your focus. 3) Clarify Objectives Know what your goal is clearly before you start. If you aren’t sure what the end result is, the confusion will make it impossible to focus. 4) Divide Blobs. If you have a large project that needs work, clearly identify a path that you will use to get started working on it. If the sequence of actions isn’t obvious, it will be difficult to concentrate. Taking a few minutes to plan not only your end result, but the order you will complete any steps, can save hours in wasted thinking. 5) Know the Rules Get clear on what the guidelines are for the task ahead. What level of quality do you need? What standards do you need to follow? What constraints are there? If the rules aren’t clear from the outset, you will slip out of concentration as you ponder them later. 6) Set a Deadline Deadlines have both advantages and disadvantages when trying to force concentration. A deadline can make it easier to forget the non-essential and speed up your working time. If you give yourself only an hour to design a logo, you will keep it simple and avoid fiddling with extravagant designs. Time limits have disadvantages when they cause you to worry about the time you have left instead of the task itself. 7) Break down Roadblocks Roadblocks occur whenever you hit a tricky problem in your work. This can happen when you run out of ideas or your focus wavers. Break down roadblocks by brainstorming or planning on a piece of paper. Writing out your thought processes can keep you focused even if you might become frustrated. 8) Isolate Yourself Become a hermit and stay away from other people if you want to get work done. Unless your work is based on other people they will only break your focus. Create a private space and refuse to talk to anyone until your work is finished. Put a sign on your door to steer away drop-ins and don’t answer your phone. 9) Healthy Body, Sharper Mind What you put into your body affects the way you concentrate. Nobody would expect peak performance if they showed up drunk to work. But if you allow yourself to get chronic sleep deprivation, overuse stimulants like caffeine or eat dense, fatty foods your concentration will suffer. Try to cut out one of your unhealthy habits for just thirty days to see if there is a difference in your energy levels. I’ve found even small steps can create dramatic changes in my ability to focus. 10) Be Patient Before I write an article, I often sit at my desk for a fifteen or twenty minutes before I put finger on the keyboard. During this time I feel a strong urge to leave or do something else. But I know that if I am patient, I’ll stumble upon an idea to write about and enter a state of flow. Without a little patience, you can’t take advantage of flow when it rushed through you. If you need strong concentration I recommend periods of 90-120 minutes. Any less than that and you will waste too much time getting started before the flow can continue. More than this is possible to sustain focus, but you will probably benefit from a quick break.
