Dear lybrate-user, every doctor is complete in herself or himself, no matter what speciality the doctor choses to opursue. Of all the complaints of your wife that you mentioned the striking and significant complaints seem to be heavy menstrual bleeds, constipation and bleeding (in stools, I assume). The other complaints like pelvic pains, joint pains, nausea and vomiting are related to the chief complaints. I would humbly advise you to consult a gynecologist and obstetric surgeon, get examined, investigated (by usg if neeed) and rule out possible causes of heavy bleeds. She may also need investigations for hormonal profile and certain lab investigations too. An orhopedician may be consulted if joint pains are specific to his expertise.

I am vipul my left hand is very painful 2 days ago I can not do anything because it's very painful.

I am vipul my left hand is very painful 2 days ago I can not do anything because it's very painful.
Pain in the arm/hand can result from a number of factors. Abnormalities or injury of the skin, nerves, bones, joints, blood vessels, and soft tissues of the arm can all result in pain. Arm pain may be the result of referred pain from another part of the body. Please go to a physiotherapist to assess and treat the underlying condition. If pain is caused by an activity, modify or stop the activity. Rest the arm and resume activity gradually. Monitor the response to the activity. Pain experienced in the arm is usually not serious, but when it is coupled with other symptoms like pain in the leg or tightness of the chest or breathing problem it may be more serious. Try some home remedies: ice will reduce pain and swelling. Apply ice or cold packs immediately to prevent or minimize swelling. Apply the ice or cold pack for 10 to 20 minutes, 3 or more times a day. Elevate the painful area on pillows while applying ice and anytime you are sitting or lying down. Try to keep the area at or above the level of your heart to help minimize swelling. Apply heat and begin gentle exercise with the aid of moist heat to help restore and maintain flexibility. Some experts recommend alternating between heat and cold treatments. Gently massage or rub the area to relieve pain and encourage blood flow. Do not massage the area if it causes pain. Do not smoke or use other tobacco products. Smoking slows healing because it decreases blood supply and delays tissue repair. Please consult a physiotherapist for detail assessment and management of your arm pain. Best wishes.

Hi. May be you have tendinitis. Do cryotherapy (ice) at the thumb joint for 15-20 minutes and then do deep friction with volitra gel till it absorbed. And then wrap with crepe bandage and please do not use that hand for few days. This is the tip. If you get cure then thats really good for you. If not then go for best physiotherapist for ultrasonic, tens and laser therapy (if available).

Hi Thanks for your query and welcome to Lybrate. Your knee pain could be due to certain reasons but common ones are chondromalacia, pain due to knee instability, inflammation etc. If there is no history of any injury, and no s/s of inflammation or infection like swelling, skin redness or local warmth on touching, then I will like to advise you for conservative management initially in form of: - intensive physical therapy with focus on strengthening of quadriceps and stretching of other group of muscles - gentle anti inflammatory medications like tab etoshine or tab paracetamol can be taken in small doses for 5-7 days - adequate calcium and vitamin d supplementation as per requirement - ice packs at home for 3-4 times in a day and see how it goes for around 2 weeks time. If your condition does not improve, then we will have to get certain investigations done. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation. Thanks & Regards Dr Akshay

Try this for joint pains try this. Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. The best way to manage will be to keep sugar levels undr control, take adequate calcium and vitamin d supplementation as per requirement, take a short course of anti inflammatory medication which suits you and do intensive physical therapy, initially with modalities till there is pain, then at home. Also you can do ice packs at home which will provide pain relief as well, also local analgesic spray like dynapar qps or volitra can be used. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.
