Dear Lybrateuser, - Follow some measures like, - keep your sleep & wake up time fixed - do not watch TV, laptop or mobile before sleep time instead read or listen to light music - do not nap in the daytime for more than 20-30 min, if so then do in early afternoon - do exercise like walking for 20-30 min in the evening as it will help to induce sleep - have a light dinner, avoid fat containing foods - have a glass of warm milk, a hot bath as it may help induce sleep - the bedroom should be dark, proper temperature & no noise - if still not able to sleep then you may require medication, consult a doctor.

Pain During Intercourse - 4 Causes In Women

Sexual intercourse may result in a feeling of pain during or post sex. There are a lot of reasons such as allergic reactions or psychological reasons so as to why one may feel pain from sexual intercourse. Symptoms of pain affect both and women equally.

Pain from sex (for women) can be caused due to the following reasons.
1. If the women have reached menopause it makes the vagina dry. This can cause modifications in hormones that restrict the vagina from being wet during sex and causes pain.
2. Infections such as genital herpes (a viral disorder) or gonorrhea (a bacterial disorder in the vaginal skin) can cause pain during sex.
3. If the passage in the vagina is narrow then it can cause pain during sex.
4. Allergic reactions from latex used in condoms can cause irritation in the genital region that may cause pain.

Pain from sex in men can be caused due to,
1. Infections in the penile area such as thrush which results in the irritated skin cause pain during sex.
2. One of the most common cause of pain during sex is a tight foreskin.
3. Inflammation of the prostate may cause difficulties such as pain during sex.
4. Damage to the foreskin covering the penis may cause a sharp and stinging pain during sexual intercourse.

If the symptoms are exaggerated and persist then it is recommended to consult a medical professional. In the case of itchiness and unusual discharges from the genitals, an STI (sexually transmitted infection) test is carried out. Another common treatment is using lubricants during sex to get rid of the dryness that is causing the pain. In the case of allergic reactions, it is recommended to test the products before using them.

I have developed acne scarring, redness, and small bumps on both cheeks and over all bad texture. I think it is because of whey protein and/or minoxidil I started last year. To treat it I am using Vichy Normaderm (contains salicylic and glyceric acid) on the recommendation of a pharmacist. I am getting a bit depressed because of my skin. Can my skin become smooth again? Get some relax during the work and walk for 15 min. In between the work. Intake healthy diet and green leafy vegetables. Drink 1 glass of milk every day with half table spoon of turmeric. Do cervical exercises for that. And not use pillow at night.

For marks (sport)- ducray photoscreen depigment creem / demelan creem for application once weekly at night (very little on marks only, dry skin- physiogel for application over body. Test: blood test thyroid, apply parasoft lotion or oils yum lotion over wet body after bath. Oil arum bar for body wash.

Mr. Lybrate-user. Diabetes is occurring either due to lack of insulin or resistance to its action, mainly because of being over weight and secondly due inactivity and junk foods. This true incase of t2 dm. In t1 insulin producing beta cells in pancreas are destroyed due antibodies. T1 is an autoimmune disease. These are two main types of diabetes. In both types insulin has to be provided (t1 by injections of insulin) in t2 stimulating insulin secretion. Since this hormone is required every single moment in our body, there is no way of curing the condition. It can only be controlled. Similarly in high bp also there are multiple triggers involved, each can not exactly identified and removed. So cure is not possible. Here too over weight, obesity, inactivity, high fat, excess salt plus various other triggers are active, and the process continues for lifetime, hence only control is possible. Similarly there a host of diseases where ther is no cure available in spite of great advances in medicine. I understand your concern, but that is the fact. May some time later science will be able to find a cure for all diseases, let us hope. Thanks.

Pimples fast - : • To control the sebum (oily) secretion you should maintain your hormonal level. Because imbalance in hormone level causes excessive sebum (oil) production and causes pimples .So do not take stress and do exercise daily such as running, jogging and long breathing exercises. * Take a bowl of salads in the afternoon with lunch. * Avoid fried fast foods & take lesser amount of dairy products. * Take 2-3 fruits such as apple ,melon ,pear, litchi, grapes daily. • Use oil free face wash and drink 7 -8 glass of water daily. • Do not touch your pimple because your finger transfer bacteria to it and make it worse. If you touch it then clean your face with water. Touch your face very less. • you can use a face pack of fuller 's earth (multani mitti ) with rose water one time in a day for seven days. It removes toxins from skin and remove pimples. ,• • Give Steam your face to open the pores ,which in turn clear the skin .steam your face for 3-5 minutes daily. • You can take 2 teaspoon of SAAFI SYRUP daily for 1 month for clear face. • Take 20 gm powder of Black pepper and 50 gm of Amla powder .Mix it and take 1/2 tea spoon of this mixed powder daily with luke warm water for 15 days for pimple free skin. • Take Vitamin-A rich diet & you can take Vitamin-A capsule of 25,000 I.U. Only under the supervision of a doctor. • use a mild moisturiser for your skin only in winters.

Exercise regularly for putting on weight. Some thin people think that exercise is not good for them. This is not true, it keeps the metabolism high. Remember that eating alone is not sufficient. You don't want to gain fat but lean mass, so exercise is important. Resistance training exercises will help to increase your muscle mass, which in turn will increase metabolism. Learn to distinguish between weight gaining exercises and weight loss exercises. Note that if you do not get enough amino acids during exercise, the existing muscle may break down. Amino acids come from protein foods so you should eat such foods after exercise. Keep in mind that excessive exercise without putting back the energy you have used will not help you to put on weight.-------------consume more calories than you burn. Choose healthy calorie-dense food to add calories. Drink healthy beverages to add calories. Mangoes season is approaching in next 2-3 months, mangoes are rich in calories and carbohydrates, include them in your diet.------------

Coping with anxiety: diet can make a difference:


Anxiety symptoms can make you feel unwell. Coping with anxiety can be a challenge and often requires making lifestyle changes. There aren't any diet changes that can cure anxiety, but watching what you eat may help.

Try these steps:

  • Eat a breakfast that includes some protein. Eating protein at breakfast can help you feel fuller longer and help keep your blood sugar steady so that you have more energy as you start your day.
  • Eat complex carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are thought to increase the amount of serotonin in your brain, which has a calming effect. Eat foods rich in complex carbohydrates, such as whole grains — for example, oatmeal, quinoa, whole-grain breads and whole-grain cereals. Steer clear of foods that contain simple carbohydrates, such as sugary foods and drinks.
  • Drink plenty of water. Even mild dehydration can affect your mood.
  • Limit or avoid alcohol. The immediate effect of alcohol may be calming. But as alcohol is processed by your body, it can make you edgy. Alcohol can also interfere with sleep.
  • Limit or avoid caffeine. Avoid caffeinated beverages. They can make you feel jittery and nervous and can interfere with sleep.
  • Pay attention to food sensitivities. In some people, certain foods or food additives can cause unpleasant physical reactions. In certain people, these physical reactions may lead to shifts in mood, including irritability or anxiety.
  • Try to eat healthy, balanced meals. Healthy eating is important for overall physical and mental health. Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, and don't overeat. It may also help to eat fish high in omega-3 fatty acids, such as salmon, on a regular basis.


Changes to your diet may make some difference to your general mood or sense of well-being, but they're not a substitute for treatment. Lifestyle changes, such as improving sleep habits, increasing social support, using stress-reduction techniques and getting regular exercise, also may help. Be patient, as it may take some time before these changes have an effect on your anxiety.

If your anxiety is severe or interferes with your day-to-day activities or enjoyment of life, you may need counseling (psychotherapy), medication or other treatment.

Hi, I want a suggestion, related from my father healthy is 65 year old and he suffering from last 9-10 year a diabetes. Yoir father needs proper treatment of piles. Is he sufferring from constipation or any stomach problem? please give me some more details about your father so that I can help you more. Do these things to lessen piles:- - intake plenty of water atleast 8-10 glass. It will make bowel movement easy which reduce pain during washroom. -take high fiber diet. Whole wheat, fresh fruite which are rich in pulp, almonds, peanuts. - avoid spicy food. -start regular walk. Tell your father to do these. **take nux vomica 200 one dose in empty stomach. **acid nitricum 30 tds for 5 days. After taking medicine your father will feel better. He needs treatments only for few months. Give me feed back. Hope he will recover soon.
