Hi, take tab. Dolo 650 mg 1-1-1 after food for 1-2 days and koflet cough syrup 2 tsf 3 times a day. Keep recording your temparature. If it is too high, do tepid sponging. Wear loose cotton garments. Drink plenty of fluids. Consume light and easily digestable food. Drink boiled and cooled water.

It's been two years of getting married. Now I want to have a baby but I am unable to conceive just because I usually face irregular periods and unusual vaginal discharge, painful intercourse. Besides these I did lots of test i.e thyroid test, urine test, blood test. All test are normal. Doctors still couldn't find the exact problem of mine Health. Please doctor suggest me should I test my fallopian tube blockage once or not? If yes than how should I start my treatment of fallopian tube first. What should I do first .what else treatment should I do including fallopian tube test? Please suggest doc .waiting for your positive response.

I understand your concern and grief. The fact that you're having irregular period means you definitely have some kind of underlying hormonal imbalance. Endometriosis is one of the common causes for painful intercourse. The fact that it has already been two years since you has been planning for a baby; you definitely merit a tubal patency test. You can opt for either a HSG / SSG or a laparoscopy for the same; in your case I would recommend a laparoscopy since it will also help rule out Endometriosis. Considering your current situation you definitely need a detailed evaluation for both of you and to get onto fertility treatment as early as possible. Kindly go thru the following link to know more about your fertility management option - http://cheqkmate.com/fertility/solutions/solutions-overview. Html All the best for your fertility journey.

First of all relax, according to your reports you have taken right decision. Nothing special is required for this, all you need to do is be patient in the whole process and follow your doctors instruction, this process is not at all painful, this is totally lab procedure till implantation of baby in you. Donor are selected who matches the patient profile, it is not so that baby will look like donor. It depends on both ovum and sperm.

What are the precautions taken for making normal delivery after first delivery as sisserian or other?

MBBS, DGO, MD, Fellowship in Gynae Oncology
Gynaecologist, Delhi
There and no such precaution for that. it depends on position of baby, scar thickness, pelvis outlet and other factors. If your pregnancy is doing fine then you can ask your gyne. if she suggest for some exercise you can do. do not do any such exercise without your doctors advice as it may harm you or the baby.

See the report is not good. Your uterus has heterogenous consistency, for which any gynecologist will advise you to undergo d&c procedure with or without mri to rule out endometrial or uterine cancer. For time being please withhold the thoughts of getting pregnant, as first you need to take care of the current situation. And then if everything normal after d&c, then only can think about treatment of infertility. Consider this message as urgent to rule out cancer.

All smokers do not have cancer. Similarly all fat ladies may not have problem. So, she must reduce weight. At the same time, we need to check both husband and wife to determine the cause of not having baby and then we can plan treatment

I am having sex from past 2 days. We desperately want a baby. I feel that I have a problem of premature ejaculation so initially when I was having sex last month I used to ejaculate outside vagina. Deeper insertions in vagina only help depositing the semen containing sperms at or near the cervix. Deposition anywhere in the vagina can also be sufficient to make a female pregnancy if sperms manage to reach the cervix and move towards the ovum (egg). However this is not the only prerequisite in getting pregnant. Pregnancy involves timing of sex, the presence of a healthy ovum and healthy sperms in a healthy tract with a viable environment. If you are planning for a pregnancy it is advisable that you and your spouse consult a gynecologist, get examined and investigated and then plan accordingly.

My wife aged 24 years has had blighted ovum twice in the last 7-8 months. Does this reduce her chances of conceiving and can medicines help in such a scenerio for future pregnancy to be normal. Please advice.

Blighted ovum two times means there should be a definite reason for this problem. So, both of you need detailed investigations to detect the cause and then plan for treatment. But for the time being, emotional support is important. Ask her not to lose hope. Even after 6 miscarriages, chance of having live birth is more than 50% in next pregnancy.

Sir. I am addicted to smoke too much. And Now I am suffering from cold and cough ver much. .so sir what can I do now?
Dear lybrate-user, Please try to stop smoking at the earliest. It has many health benefits in the long run. When you stop suddenly, you may get withdrawal symptoms like restlessness, irritability, lack of concentration, increased hunger, sleep disturbance, headache, impatience, anxiety, depression, etc. If you have them please don’t get back to smoking, take nicotine gum or lozenge or patch. They are available in all medical shops. You don’t need a prescription from doctors. Use 2 mg gum if you smoke less than 25 cigarettes/day. Use 4 mg gum if you smoke more than 25 cigarettes/day. First 6 weeks, use 1 gum every 1 – 2 hours. Reduce it in week 7 – 9 to one gum every 2 – 4 hours. In week 10 – 12, reduce it further to 1 gum every 4 -8 hours. By 3 months, you will be able to stop both cigarettes and gum fully without any withdrawal symptoms. Please feel confident that you can do it and give yourself some gift for doing it like vacation or books or new mobile. Smoking is a chronic relapsing condition like diabetes and B.P. So please don’t worry if you restart smoking. Start all over again to stop. You will learn the situations that make you smoke and avoid them. Please think of health benefits and money saved often. Plan how to avoid relapsing situations, like smoking friends, along with alcohol, stressful feeling or depression. Delay, drink, deep breathe, distract and discuss are the helpful tips. Increase of non smoking zones, gift yourself for stopping smoking. Even chewing cinnamon may delay. Please remember that the urge to smoke comes and goes like waves. Delay and see whether it goes away. It will like a passing cloud. All the best.

Hsg is a diagnostic procedure, is an important test of female fertility potential. This test shows whether the fallopian tubes are open or blocked and whether a blockage is at the junction of the tube and uterus (proximal) or at the other end of the tube (distal). Also the uterine cavity is evaluated for the presence of congenital uterine anomalies, polyps, fibroid tumors or uterine scar tissue.
