You are confirmed diabetic patient as your hba1c is more than 6.4% you can start with life style modification and regular exercise for 45 minutes. 130/90 is normal BP for your age, But You have not mentioned the cause of his kidney failure. Kindly discuss that with his nephrologist to understand if you have any risk too. A few lifestyle measures will help you have BP control like - DAILY EXERCISE FOR 40-45 MINS, Avoid eating too much junk and food rich in salt like chutneys, chips, namkeens, papads etc, Decrease stress levels, have proper sleep of 8 hrs.
