I scared that vertigo is the symptoms of tumor. Did I worry a little bit? After medication I have little problem with...
Vertigo is very common these days in any age group due to excess of noise exposure and damage to inner ear, humming sound, whistling and giddiness are the problems which are getting in people are very common these days, these get complicated when they are not taken care of at proper time whistling or buzzing in the ear is getting commoner these days in people of all ages. Most common causes is wax or any object in the ear, after getting your ears clean these gets over. But if ears are already clean than this is worrisome. Common causes which are responsible are high cholesterol diet, alcohol, smoking, loud noises, cervical spondylosis, trauma (self or inflicted) over the ears. If this is the situation than report to your ent doctor immediately tinnitus is basically due to hampered blood supply to ears due to which ears start dying. As this process starts a person starts hearing noises. When a person starts hearing noises then it is already late diagnosis as these noises gets heard by someone when they are of 40 db intensity, below that threshold these noises are not heard. So it is already to late and the damage has become permanent. Problem with these noises are that we can control at what level person goes to his specialist otherwise these noises keep on increasing and can give you headache frustration and depression. Now a days tinnitus maskers are available which help you to lead your life peacefully. Giddiness is never the side effect of medication.

Throat problem? pain in throat may be due to allergy cum infection in throat. Through examination of throat is required. If required after taking throat swab for culture and sensitivity, accordingly antibiotics and antihistamines, analgesics can be given.

I am suffering from sinus frequently. Facing difficulty while breathing at night time. Please suggest any medicine for complete relaxation for the same.

This is due to lack of hydration of the nose, so you need to have good fresh fruits which keeps you well hydrated like shakes, juices without ice, cold youcan take but chilled you should avoid, and iron rich diet.

Till they are not troublesome, you may safely disregard them. If producing minor symptoms like a bad breath, or a prickly feeling, you may apply pressure adjacent to them with a blunt object like the handle of your tooth brush or a wooden ice-cream stick, now and then. Surgery is the last option, not generally suggested by the surgeon but opted by the patient if suffering in different ways.

My sister's daughter is having acromegaly disease and has been directed to undergo operation through the nose. Is there any chance of getting it treated through ayurvedic medicines?

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), MD - Ayurveda
Ayurveda, Mumbai
Acromegaly is caused by over secretion of the pitutary gland in the brain, she has been diagnosed with secretory adenoma of the ant pitutary. The problem is she might have other hormonal over secretions too. Yes ayurvedic medications can be tried but I would suggest you go ahead with the surgery. Please consult in private.

Greetings lybrate-user, there could be multiple reasons as to why the recurrence is happening. A) low immunity secondary to anemia b) infection- either bacterial viral or infectious mononucleosis (all of which present with a more or less similar set of symptoms that you are suffering with. Advice - avoid street food, use sanitizer as much as possible and don't take chances with water. Second if you are already careful about the stuff I mentioned above then you may have to go ahead and investigate the problem. Step 1 - get a throat swab done for culture and sensitivity 2- test for infectious mononucleosis 3 cbp (complete blood test) based on reports you may have to start antibiotics or you may also have to undergo tonsillectomy. If you have more than 6 attacks of sore throat and enlarged tonsils or if you had 3 attacks per year for the past 3 years then you must undergo tonsillectomy. Hope this helps. Thanks.
