If you are bleeding from longer time please get your haemoglobin tested first. Also get her examined by a gynecologist and do ultrasound and pap test. Heavy menses can be treated with 3 months course of medicines.

First of all, buy a pregnancy kit from medical store, it is cheap, accurate and easy to use. If pregnancy is ruled out, meet your gynecologists to get some tests done. Delayed periods can also be due to stress!

Antidepressants linked to risk of BIrth Defects

Some antidepressants may increase the risk of birth defects among babies born to mothers who took the medications early in pregnancy a study has shown.

The results of the study highlighted the importance of identifying the links between specific antidepressants and birth defects as opposed to associating risk with classes of drugs said the authors. They also acknowledged that the birth defects could be linked to factors other than maternal antidepressant use such as underlying medical conditions.

You can go for ovulation study or use ovulation kit for 1-2 cycles. Since you have pcod, so you may take time in conceiving. Try conceiving using ovulation kit for 2-3 cycle if still not succeed then consult infertility specialist for help.

It is difficult to say whether it is complete or not. But if you had bleed for 7 days and than stopped than it is more likely complete. You should have to wait for next period. If it comes normally than it is complete and if bleeding stars and continue to bleed than there is more chance of incomplete abortion. It should be explained to you by doctor who prescribe you tablets and take consent. Just have to wait for next cycle. Don't do urine pregnancy test because it is going to be positive for 1 or 2 months. Before that you can do Sonography to confirm that is there anything there or not.

Some times the home kit won't give correct result. So wait for few days and get examined again by gynecologist .

Two condoms are not generally used. It can be used in high risk cases for added protection. If one gives in and gets torn another one may provide protection.

4 Myths that might be Spoiling your Sex Life

4 Myths that might be Spoiling your Sex Life

Call them myths or even old wives’ tales, these false notions about sex may be the hurdle between you and carnal bliss. There’s a dangerous idea that some people have about sex being effortless when you are with the ‘right’ person. Just because sex education is often called ‘The facts of life’ that doesn’t mean that myths surrounding human sexuality do not circulate in society.

There are certain beliefs about sex which people think to be true that are capable of causing more harm than good to your love life. Call them myths or even old wives’ tales, these false notions about sex may be the hurdle between you and carnal bliss.

The top four myths that may be messing up your sex life are:

1. Good sex happens spontaneously:

There's a dangerous idea that some people have about sex being effortless when you are with the ‘right’ person. In fact, such people may even go on to say that if you need to plan things and make special efforts, then you might be with the ‘wrong’ person. This type of thought process is simply an immature take on relationships and can make people have doubts about perfectly happy and long-lasting bonds. The truth is that people in long-term relationships mostly enjoy really good sex only after both partners make sincere efforts.

2. Sex is a great deal better when you’re young:

A survey conducted by Relate discovered that most couples are busy dealing with careers and families in the years when they are supposed to be at their ‘sexual peak’ and have little time for sex. It even went on to conclude that sexual confidence really begins to peak between the ages of 60 and 69.

3. People don’t watch porn when they’re in a relationship:

Watching porn and having sex are two completely different experiences. It is wrong to assume that if your partner watches porn then it might be because they are not enjoying sex with you. Many people with a higher sex drive prefer to masturbate rather than bug their partner for more sex than they want to have. Men want to have sex all the time contrary to popular perception, men aren’t the mean sex machines that they are made out to be. Factors like his general health, stress levels, confidence and relationship dynamics play a huge role in whether he is in the mood or not at a given moment.

Contrary to popular perception, men aren’t the mean sex machines that they are made out to be. Factors like his general health, stress levels, confidence and relationship dynamics play a huge role in whether he is in the mood or not at a given moment.

I do use climax delay condoms to improved my timing. Will it cause any side effect?

MD-Ayurveda, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Sexologist, Haldwani
Hello- Yes they will. Climax delay condoms contain benjocaine etc which are used as local anesthetics. Prolong use of local anesthesia in a particular organ will permanently desensitize the organ by damaging the nerves of the penis and you will not going to have a erection at all.

If you and your partner are planning to conceive, you should start taking folic acid before you get pregnant. Folic acid helps to provide the best health outcomes for your baby when it is growing. Taking folic acid daily before and during pregnancy also prevents the occurrence of neural tube defects, such as spina bifida, in your baby. You?re most likely to get pregnant if you have sex within a day or so of ovulation (releasing an egg from the ovary). This is usually about 14 days after the first day of your last period. An egg lives for about 12-24 hours after it?s released. For pregnancy to happen, the egg must be fertilised by a sperm within this time. If you want to get pregnant, having sex every couple of days will mean there?s always sperm waiting in the fallopian tubes to meet the egg when it?s released. any queries consult privately
