My child is having asthma. She is 6 years old. She was not having asthma till 4 years old. From last 2 year she is taking formonide 100 puff regularly at night. After shifting to bangalore last year doctor prescribed levolin inhaler too to be taken when there is more coughing. When she is having more cough doctor told to give 3 puff, 3 hourly basis. From 22 Dec 2017 she is having little cough we were giving her only formonide 100 2 puff ,as we would be travelling by AC train we started giving levolin puff from 24 dec. After reaching Mumbai she was coughing I have her levolin inhaler 2 puff and formonide 100 1 puff. Again we travelled in flight returned to bangalore on 8 jan 2018. Still now she is having cough we are giving levolin. We are not sending her out. I am worried as she is taking levolin this time for longer period from 24 dec 2017 to 11 Jan 2018. Is it ok to take it for more than 2 weeks? Why this time her cough is taking time to go? Can asthma go as she was not having it from birth?

Hi. Thanks for the detailed history. First of all relax and calm down. You must understand that asthma is a condition which is easiest in respiratory diseases to be treated. Look formonide contains both medicines which are required for long term symptoms and also for treating sudden increase in cough. Additional doses of levolin (asthalin) is not required. Your doctor must have added levolin only for emergencies. Levolin should not be used for continous use. You should now stop giving levolin and use only formonide 100 2 puff in morning and 2 in night. Gradually doses of formonide can be reduced further too.

At your age this is mainly due to ear wax problem unless you are using ear phones and ear plugs, this is most dangerous cause for this as with this the trauma is irreversible and patient might require hearing aid with tinnitus masker, get the ear examination done from ear consultant and getthe diagnosis.

Few things related to headache so that we can plan the treatment accordingly - if pain is associated with blurred or decreased vision than check your eye sight for refractive error - if the pain is associated with cold and fever than we have to rule out sinusitis as the cause and if the pain is pulsatile in nature and with a throbbing pain usually with an aura than we have to rule out migrane as the cause - if the pain is associated with neck problems than we have to rule out cervical spondylosis as the cause - if the pain is associated with either low or high bp or due to hyperacidity than we have to treat the cause after examination.

You can have sex but mouth to mouth contact can expose her to mdr. You will have to keep your mouth covered. Your kid will not have this disease unless he comes closer to your mouth. Your never know how long you will have to take the medicine. Get your hiv status done.

Thanks for the query. Vitamin d is essential for bone health. If you don't spend enough time in the sun or if your body has trouble absorbing the vitamin, you may not get enough. Firstly it is important to understand that you need to have a balanced diet to help absorption of all vitamins. But there are some things you can do to increase the vitamin d levels. Firstly get sunlight. Sunlight spurs the body to make vitamin d small amount of sun exposure without sunscreen can do the trick. If you're going to get it from the sun, about 20 to 25 minutes of exposure is helpful. Include in your diet foods like fatty fish like salmon and mackerel, an egg yolk, dairy, fish oil, clarified butter and nuts. Also you may have to take a supplement as per the physician's advice.

Good morning, Watching pornography is not a disorder, however, if you do it excessively and have parts of your life affected by watching porn then it becomes a problem. You may need to explain yourself better when you say that you became gradually addicted to pornography. If you feel shame and guilt and watch porn for 3 hours in a 24 hour day on a daily basis, various forms of therapy may be helpful in getting you off of porn and having your attention diverted to useful activities. Look forward to hearing from you. Home Remedies for Erectile Dysfunction (ED)

Home Remedies for Erectile Dysfunction (ED)

Erectile dysfunction (ED), also known as impotence, is a very common health problem. According to the Massachusetts Male Aging Study, it is estimated that half of all men experience erectile dysfunction at some point. At age 40, about 40 percent of men suffer from this condition, and it is more common at older ages.

ED is a condition where a man is not able to achieve or sustain an erection. It can lead to low self-esteem, depression and guilt.

A range of causes of ED can be broadly classified into two categories—physical and mental (psychological). According to the BBC Health, about 70 percent of impotence cases have medical causes and about 30 percent have psychological causes.

Physical causes include narrowing of the blood vessels due to high blood pressure (hypertension), high cholesterol, diabetes, hormonal changes due to aging, surgery or injury, thyroid problems, kidney issues, heavy smoking, obesity, excessive drinking, nutritional deficiencies, certain prescription medications and treatments for prostate cancer or enlarged prostate.
Psychological causes include anxiety, depression, stress, and other mental health issues and relationship problems.
This problem may resolve if the underlying cause is treated. You can also try some home remedies.
