Hello lybrate user as you asked about your problems related to diabetes and bp as well as gastric discomfort, I would like to advise you that your metabolism isn't pretty and toxins are accumulated in the form of acid and gaseous flatulence with upcoming acidic belching and cause of gaseous pressure to upward on your chest and heart. It gives you heart pain and sometimes located at your under chest. You have low hb about 7% so it is very low. You had not mentioned about your sugar levels as fasting and pp. You should have consult with ayurveda doctor who will help you for your problems.

Depending on the cause of your symptoms, your doctor may tell you to increase your blood pressure by making these simple changes: Eat a diet higher in salt. Drink lots of nonalcoholic fluids/ especially salty drink e.g. salty lassi, salty lemon water, et.c. Limit alcoholic beverages. Drink more fluids during hot weather and while sick with a viral illness, such as a cold or the flu. Get regular exercise to promote blood flow. Be careful when rising from lying down or sitting. To help improve circulation, pump your feet and ankles a few times before standing up. Then proceed slowly. When getting out of bed, sit upright on the edge of the bed for a few minutes before standing. Elevate the head of your bed at night by placing bricks or blocks under the head of bed. Avoid heavy lifting. Avoid straining while on the toilet. Avoid prolonged exposure to hot water, such as hot showers and spas. If you get dizzy, sit down. It may be helpful to keep a chair or stool in the shower in case you need to sit; to help prevent injury, use a nonslip chair or stool designed for use in showers and bath tubs. To avoid problems with low blood pressure and lessen episodes of dizziness after meals, try eating smaller, more frequent meals. Cut back on carbohydrates. Rest after eating. Avoid taking drugs to lower blood pressure before meals. If needed, use elastic support (compression) stockings that cover the calf and thigh. These may help restrict blood flow to the legs, thus keeping more blood in the upper body.

My friend have moderate left side chest pain. Whenever it comes it relieve soon. He was under anxiety more then a year. Doctor advised him to take ecg. First ecg result as sinus tachycardia, lvh minimal voltage for criteria, may be normal variant. At that time his bp80/145. After 2 two weeks he took another ecg. It comes as normal. Bp 76/126. Is any fault in ecg machines? He confused.

Dear Prabhu the human body like every living creature is a dynamic entity. For the most healthy person also. All parameters will change on different times of a day or on different days. It is natural. The earlier bp reading was taken when he was stressed. The next when his is calm. So it is ok. Ideally, every doctor will take 3 readings in a day ir few days to plan average normal for that person. Eat right. Destress. Rest and exercise adequately and stay positive. Regards.

These feelings may cause physical symptoms, such as a racing heart and shakiness. There are a number of anxiety disorders: including generalized anxiety disorder, a specific phobia, social anxiety disorder, separation anxiety disorder, agoraphobia, and panic disorder among others. While each has its own characteristics and symptoms, they all include symptoms of anxiety. Anxiety medicines alone cannot cure anxiety disorders mainly because medicines do not alter behavior. Behavior change and Continuous practice of the changed behavior cure anxiety. I suggest anxiety education, progressive counseling and progressive psychotherapy. I assure you complete cure. Hello, Drink plenty of liquids and cut down your fat, salt and sugar intake. go for a morning walk daily at least for 30 minute. Take a sound sleep and try to avoid anger. Home remedies to Control high BP:-1. Bananas are one fruit that people with high blood pressure can eat regularly to control it. Bananas are a rich source of potassium, which lessens the effect of sodium.So, try to eat one or two bananas daily. Along with bananas, you can try dried apricots, raisins, orange juice, spinach, baked sweet potatoes. 2. Eat one or two crushed garlic cloves daily. You can simply crush them with your hands. Crushing garlic cloves creates hydrogen sulfide, a compound that promotes good blood flow, removes gas and reduces the pressure on the heart.If you do not like eating raw garlic or if it causes a burning sensation, then take it along with a cup of milk. You can also mix five or six drops of garlic juice in four teaspoons of water and take it twice a day.

In ayurveda, Hypertension is referred to as Rakta Capa Vriddhi and it sees the vitiation of vata and pitta doshas as the main cause...take sarpgandha vati twice a day...yogendra ras...akik bhasm works very good in case of hypertension....avoid salty diet...oily food...lower your stress...do pranayama early morning.....

You can get cbc, vit d, b12 done, s electrolyte done check for nutritional deficiencies. Sometimes diabetic kidney disease, retinopathy and neuropathy come one after another if she maintains her hba1c above 8%. If no nutritional def. Then get emg /nc done along with eye check up.

Dear Lybrateuser, - Your problem is due to acidity & anxiety - avoid spicy, fried & junk food, also restrict tea/ coffee intake to 1-2 cups/ day - have more of fruits & vegetables, whole grains, low fat dairy products, lean meats, nuts in your diet - chew your food well, do not skip meals, have meals on time, have 4-5 small meals rather than three large meals, have dinner 2-3 hrs before bedtime have 7-8 glasses of water per day - do regular exercise like walking, yoga, meditation & deep breathing daily morning - keep yourself busy so that you do not keep thinking of the problem.

Maintaining A Healthy Heart With Ayurveda!

Heart diseases are one of the major killers of this century; irrespective of age and sex. The rigors of modern life, coupled with the general populace aggressively moving towards a more sedentary lifestyle, it’s no surprise that cardiovascular disorders are on the rise.

However, Ayurveda has tips and guidelines to offer which could end up being just what one needs to keep diseases at bay, during such times. One can start with following the most basic steps and slowly take them forward once one easily slides in the regime. The best part; nature has no side effects.

Read on:

  1. Relax: The first tenet of ‘any disease combat’ is to kill stress and along with that the causes which result in stress. Practice deep breathing and other relaxation techniques. Meditation and yoga can realign the flow of energy in the body, thus washing away worries.
  2. Cultivate positivity: As important as it is to fight stress, it’s equally important to cultivate positivity from every nook and cranny of this joyride called Life. Do things which give you happiness and contentment.
  3. Eat right: This is probably the most difficult way to inculcate given all the ‘junk on the go’ food centers opening in almost all crevices of the country. Eat a heart friendly diet. Start the day with fresh fruits and vegetables. Almonds are good friends to your heart; don’t forget to include them in your breakfast platter. You can also dress your veggies with fresh lime juice and make use of the turmeric and black pepper lying on your kitchen shelves and sprinkle generous amounts of them in your meals.
  4. Eat properly: DO not skip meals. Have three regular meals every day and try to cut down on the intra meal helpings that you often indulge in. Remember, it’s the casual helping of all those late night snacks that add to your adipose count, thus contributing to poor heart health. Have moderate portions of foods (Ayurveda says portion that can fit in to your two cupped palms is the right portion), but have dinner the lightest. This is because the metabolism rate dips at night. Thus eating heavy and sundry after sunset can be no good news to your ticker. Lime, salt and ginger can improve digestion. A glass of lassi during your midday meal can further help with matters of the heart.
  5. Exercise never has and never will fall out of fashion: Exercise regularly. It does not matter what the intensity of exercises is; what ticks over here is regularity. Light cardio exercises such as swift walking or swimming can do all that your heart would need at this point in time. What cardio exercises also do is that they reboot your system; so that the next morning, your metabolism is at its zenith and circulation, the best. Pranayam and meditation twice a day is good for Heart.
  6. Sleep right: It was no bluff when your mum would ask you to go to bed at the right time. Time and time again, research and studies have reinstated the fact that sleeping sufficient and sound, for about 7 hours every day holds the trick and the key to how your next sunrise could be. So much so, that right sleep is as important as the right diet when it comes to pampering the heart. Inculcate the correct sleeping habits- a silent, calm and cozy room will just be enough for the longest and peaceful of snooze. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an Ayurveda.

Dear Pinku, Stopping smoking itself will be helpful. It needs continuous motivation for 3-6 months. You can do it if you don't want chest pain. However check up with doctor about your chest pain. You know that nicotine affects heart badly.
