The exercises recommended will depend on what's causing the sciatica. It's important to work with a specialist who has experience working with people with sciatica. It's also important to do the exercises exactly as directed. Here are some home treatments for sciatica which you can follow: -do not bend, lift, or sit in a soft, low chair; the pain will get worse. -try a cold pack to see if it helps the pain. If you don't have a cold pack, use a large bag of frozen vegetables; it makes a good first aid cold pack. -after the cold massages, try alternating with heat from hot bag. -you may feel better lying on your back on a firm surface with a pillow under knees. Another option is lying on side with a pillow between the knees to keep the back straight. Also, a recliner chair is helpful. -do activities that you are able to tolerate. Best wishes.

Hi, It's very hesitating but I need some serious advice. I'm 23 years old boy. I'm single. I have got very habit of masturbating everyday. I can't resist myself. I think this is harming my body and brain. I often get bored about everything around me. I am feeling very less interested in my work, social and personal life. I feel very weak and always feel drowsy at work. I also restricts myself from making more interaction with people. Specially girls. I always remain with serious kind of face and get angry easily on anybody. I have started hating my life. But still I'm unable to stop myself from masturbating. This frustrates me more. This is the case which I can not share with my family doctor or elders in family. I'm afraid that this will have impact on my post marriage life. I want to live healthy and happy life like others. Due to masturbating I don't feel like getting in touch with anybody and I don't have any female friend as well. Could you please advice how can I overcome these physical and mental impacts of masturbating. Please advice if there is any ayurvedic or any medicine or powder which will rejuvenate me. The principal symptoms of dengue are: -high fever and at least two of the following: -severe headache -severe eye pain (behind eyes) -joint pain -muscle and/or bone pain -rash -mild bleeding manifestation (nose or gum bleed, petechiae, or easy bruising) Watch for warning signs as temperature declines 3 to 5 days after symptoms/fever began, as this is the most dangerous period when platelet counts decline significantly. For those who are prone to stuttering might feel embarrassment, some kind of distress as well as fear in most cases. Psellismophobia is full blown condition / phobia. Cbt is one of the best form of treatment therapy for the same. We believe that our brain can be re-wired / reprogrammed just like the our pc could be programmable. In cbt the basic principle is to looking into the thought processes that lead to negative belief and behavior pattern. We believe that these unhealthy thought processes are continue the chain reaction of thinking, acting and believing leading the behavior to continue. For example" what will happen if I stutter? I always stutter when there are people around. The cbt aims at changing these thought processes and replace them with more positive thought processes, which is called cognitive restructuring. In other words it is all about changing the way you think about something so that your perception will also change and that will help reduce the problem. The first step in cbt is to notice your recurrent thoughts which are negative. These are the thoughts that works as a trigger. And write down these thoughts on a piece of paper. You may divide the page in 3 vertical columns and write down negative thoughts in first column. Second state is rational thinking - here you refute the negative statement with rational thinking, which we all could do when not currently in a stressful situation. For example, if a negative thought is" what will happen if I slutter? rational thought could be as simple as" these people are friends" or" in a conversation what is important is my participation. And in the third column write down positive affirmation - these are positive thoughts and positive statements that you consciously repeat. For ex" I am a confident and effective speaker. This will help you improve your confidence. The bottom line behind this is that you repeat this affirmative statement often enough that they gradually become habitual thoughts. When you are naturally thinking these positive thoughts that itself will improve your performance. Along with cbt you can also use regular meditation session to help you manage your stress better and to induce calmness which helps in the process. Visualization is also very effective way to change behavior. It works as begin with the end in my. Daily you see yourself speaking confidently and maintaining your calm, confident state of being while in conversation. You may also include how you are successfully working with your fear or embarrassment by changing your thought and body posture. This will also help change your behavior. Hope this helps.

Hello lybrate-user, as you are having psoriasis since last 10 years, psoriasis is genetic disorder triggered due to stressful conditions and irregular life style. Psoriasis has three stages. First stage is when disease remain on skin and there are scaly patches. Second stage comes when there is pitting on nails and in last stage it enter the joints and there is pain in small joints. Generally patient use steroidal application on patches which give temporary relief and disease reappear after 2/3 days. In severe cases methotrexate is used which is not a safer option and is liver toxic. Ayurveda has got a complete remedy for psoriasis. It is a safer option and can be used for longer duration without any side effects. Ayurvedic external application give very quick results with sun exposure in clearing the scales and internal treatment does not allow the disease to re appear. Psoriasis is a manageable disease and can be managed with ease and effectively using ayurveda. You should use 3 gms of haldi with milk helps in psoriasis patients.

1. Avoid sweets, sugar/honey,/excess calorie and carbohydrate rich diet, all refined food like maida, pasta, starchy food like rice, potato,(sweet potato is good for diabetes, bakery item processed food 2. Avoid sweetened fruit like banana, mango, litchi, chickoo, sapota, seethaphal, jackfruit, grape etc. Can haveapple/pear/ papaya/guava/ jamun/ mausami 3. Avoid white/polished rice, take unpolished rice like brown rice/wheat/jowar/ragi, moong and chana dal. 4. Avoid ghee/ butter./coconut oil/excess salt intake like papad/pickle. Avoid red meat. Take fish/chicken. 5. Avoid alcohol and carbonated drinks like soft drink, include more fiber in the diet like pulse/green leafy vegetables, legume 6. Adhere to a proper diabetic diet after consulting dietitian.

I got slight sugar complaint and doctor adviced to avoid sweets and sugar in tea. No medicine advised. What are the food to be avoided ?

You can go for following remedy it will help you mix triphala powder in water. Keep it away for half an hour. Add a table spoon of pure honey. Have this in early morning daily. Raw onion dish eaten daily also can fix the matter. Have sweet soup made up of black gram. Combine black gram, rice, wheat and long pepper in equal quantities. Grind them to form powder. Fry the mixture in pure clarified butter so cook it with milk. Eat when adding sugar to that. Causes: consistent with ayurvedic concepts, nightfall is because of vata irritation. Quickness is the primary nature of vata. Its affectability is expanded by over considering sex. So for the curing of nightfall vata ought to be cured and adjusted.
