Knee pain usually occurs due to weak muscle around your knee joint. People who are doing daily brisk walks, jogging and running are more likely to get knee pain so for that they should reduce to thrice a week and the other days can do recumbent cycling, swimming or cross trainer (elliptical cycle).
This actually reduce the load exerted on your knees and will give some rest from impact which occur due to jogging or brisk walking. Regular icing after such strenuous activities will also the minimize the risk of injuries to the knee joint.

My husband 32 years old have pain below the left shoulder for last 15 days I have taken him to ortho doctor he gave tablet but no use what will be the problem

Pain around shoulder region could be due to multiple reasons like tendinitis, arthrosis, degenerative tears, impingement etc. So we need to see actual cause of pain. If you can send me doctor' s prescription, send me a brief clinical history of when did pain start, what was the cause of onset, and what are the associated features, I will be able to help you more. Also if you have done any x ray, kindly send me that as well. Till that time, as there has been no mention of any injury, you can continue with conservative treatment. I am a 33 year old female. My height is 5.6 ft and I weigh 66 KGS. For the past one your II am suffering from sciatica. Why is it so. And what can I do to prevent it? I have started walking recently and doing yoga.

It might be because of folicacid defeciency and compression of the vertebrae and Apart from taking symptomatic treatment take Tablet folvite 5mg once a day for six months and tablet vitamin D3 60000iu once a week for six months

Dear user back and neck pain at such an early age can be due to some mechanical strain or long hours of sitting. Do simple back and neck exercises. You can do hot water fomentation also for pain relief. Avoid forward neck bending and sitting for long hours. Consult a near by Physiotherapist if pain is not subsiding.

Hi Everyone. My wife have taken two tests, one on the 3rd day when she missed her period and one five days after (in the morning). Both are negative. She has small constant cramps in lower abdomen and backaches. Today Morning she noticed a drop of spotting spotting with white discharge but not heavy, only one drop. Can She be pregnant despite the negative test results? Do I need to wait for few more days or you want me to consult with DR's? I appreciate any response to this question.

Hi. The right time of getting the pregnancy test done is 1 week after the missed period (or expected date of menstrual date) as the hormone responsible for making the pregnancy test positive is excreted in urine then only! I am 24 year old female, I have low back pain with multiple lumps in lower back (both sides of spine above hip bone )from the past 2 years. I have visited 2 orthopedic doctors ,after seeing LS spine x-ray doctor said there is no problem with my spinal discs and they advised me to change my seating position when I asked about the lumps they told it was a fatty lump but x-rays doesn't reveal those lumps. I am doing physiotherapy exercises to relief my pain. I am feeling a pain in my lower hip area and spine when I sit for long time and I can feel that those lumps are pressing my nerves and restricting me to bend or stretch. I am scared of those lumps. Kindly help me to have a complete relief from this problem.

Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: -while sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -find a mattress with back support. A good mattress should provide support for the natural curves and alignment of the spine. Medium-firm mattresses usually provide more back pain relief than firm mattresses. -do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back -avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time --apply heat or ice to the painful area. One good method is to use ice for the first 48 to 72 hours, and then use heat. Take pain relievers medicine. -stretching and strengthening exercises are important. -a physiotherapist can tell you when to begin stretching and strengthening exercises and how to do them.
