Homoeopathic treatment gastrobin (wilmar schwabe india) drink slowly 20 drops in 20 ml fresh water 3 times daily. Nux vomica 30 (dr. Reckeweg) drink 5 drops in 1 spoon fresh water at night bed time digecom syrup (wellman lab) drink 2 spoons 10 minute after meals 3 times a day do and do nots 1. Avoid fast, spicy and fried food 2. Avoid tea, coffe nd cold drinks 3. Try to take nutritious easy digestible home made food.

Hi How soon can we resume weight training. I was diagnosed with 1.diffuse disc bulge at L3-L4. Moderate size broad-based posterocentral disc protrusion causes secondary central spinal canal stenosis, narrowing of bilateral neural foramina, mild compression on L5 traversing and abuts the L4 exiting nerve roots. I will much better and in no pain after 10 days of back exercise suggested by my physiotherapist.

1. Continue with Spinal Exercises for one month minimum 2. Wear lumber spine belt in Gym when you start with Exercises 3. Initially start with cardio exercises only. 4. Take calcium vitamin D 3 and Methylcobalmine supplement for one month minimum.

I am a 25 year old male. 170cms and 85kg. About 2 weeks ago i started experiencing a lower back pain when i woke up from sleep in the morning. It was so intense that i could not even bend over to wear bottom wears. I applied some pain balm and took ibuprofen for about 3-4 days and the pain felt like it has come down to the right hip joint and became less intense day by day. But i am still experiencing a kind of radiating pain from the back of the right buttocks till the calf. I am not feeling it when i am sitting or lying down but i feel it when bending over with knees straight and also when i stand for more than 5-10 minutes. Is this a serious condition? What am i supposed to do?

Get youself checked by an orthopedic doctor.Also get a x ray done.you should avoid bending forward,n also donot lift any heavy weights till your pain subsides.Bending forward with the knees bent never straight if picking up any object from the floor.U can do some hot fomentation in the area where you have pain,take few physiotherapy sessions for the relief of pain.lastly you should loose weight,your ideal body weight should be 65-69 kg.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. As I tell to all my patients with back pain due to degeneration in spine: - maintain proper posture while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - hot fomentation can be done at home with bottle/diathermy belt 3-4 times in a day - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. Do not bend forward acutely especially in morning, do not lift heavy weight and do not travel on uneven surfaces for a long time till your back pain is there. Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: -while sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -find a mattress with back support. A good mattress should provide support for the natural curves and alignment of the spine. Medium-firm mattresses usually provide more back pain relief than firm mattresses. -do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back -avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time --apply heat or ice to the painful area. One good method is to use ice for the first 48 to 72 hours, and then use heat. Take pain relievers medicine. -stretching and strengthening exercises are important. -a physiotherapist can tell you when to begin stretching and strengthening exercises and how to do them. Private consult a physiotherapist to find out what causing you this pain and pain management. Best wishes.

Hello. We can't reverse the established pathology back, but we can control the process in the stage it is so that it wouldn't grow further. Apply Bakson’s Rheum Aid oil gently (2-3 times a day) and give her orally Bakson’s Rheum-Aid syrup/ 1 tablespoon thrice daily. Also, increase her dietary intake of calcium which is present in green leafy vegetables, milk, milk products, sea food, white legumes, dried fig, black-eyed peas, almonds, oranges, seasame seeds. And vitamin D which is essential for absorption of calcium in our body and is synthesized naturally after getting exposed to sunlight, so early morning sunlight for 10-15min. 2-3 times a day is mandatory. Apart from this, ask her to go for a walk daily along with physiotherapy will also help her. For her weak eyes, nothing can be done at her age.

You need to work on your rotator cuff musculature. Usually strengthening and stretching of the cuff and muscles around the shoulder helps. Once the endurance builds you wil not be experiencing any difficulty in throwing. Though thorough evaluation of shoulder and elbow is needed. I would recommend a visit to a sports physiotherapist nearby.

Requires detailed examination and investigation. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5 days, inform

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Hi. Is there any history of injury or hurt to the area? any underlying medical condition? the pain in legs can be because of - muscle cramps (due to tiredness or dehydration), shin splints (doing activity over and over on hard surfaces can bring this on. You may also be more likely to get shin splints if you have flat feet or your feet turn outward. Rest your legs to feel better. Ice helps), tendinitis (you can get it from overworking the calf muscle or climbing the stairs, apply ice to get some relief), sprains (do rest, ice, compression & elevation). Other causes are varicose veins, arterial disease, sciatica, diabetic neuropathy. Medication: meantime, take homoeopathic medicines - arnica 200 and rhus tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply schwabe's topi-arnica and topi mp gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. And wrap crepe bandage over it. Get back to me thereafter.
