When dealing with low blood pressure, it is usually suggested to increase your salt and fluid intake. Before increasing your salt consumption, do check with your doctor. Also, cut down on alcoholic beverages and high-carbohydrate foods such as bread, rice, pasta, and potatoes.

Generally antihypertensive medicines have to be taken lifelong, if you stop these medicines bp will again increase and will make you prone to diseases like heart attack, stroke etc.

I am suffering chest pain I used some tablets .i am 21 years old male .please tell me what can I do.

Chest pain causes 1. Heart disease 2. Stress, anxiety 3. Lack of exercise 4. Sedentary life style 5. Obesity (over weight) 6. Smoking, tobacco and alcohol consumption, excess tea/coffee 7. Excess oily, fatty, cholesterol rich diet, junk food 8. Hyperacidity, musculr pain 9. Heredity and genetic factor prevention follow the advice given below 1. Avoid stress and strain 2. Do regular exercise, yoga, meditation, deep breathing exercise like pranayama etc. It will calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress 3 avoid alcohol, smoking and tobacco consumptio, excess tea/coffee. 4. Take bland diet, avoid spicy, oily, fatty and junk food 5. Take paracetamol 500 mg one tablet sos after food up to a maximum of three tablets daily, at the time of chest pain 6. hi. there are many causes of chest pain. heart problems, high B.P., acidity, any injury in chest/ ribs. infection in lungs, for pain take tab. dolo 650 mg sos after meal for pain. take syp. diagene 15 ml before meal or sos when acidity occurs. inhale steam if breathing problems or cough occurs. to confirm do few CHECKUP B.P., cbc. blood sugar, x-ray chest P.A. view, avoid high cholesterol foods/oily foods. junk foods. after tests consult again to physician. welcome in lybrate.

i am a Heart patient and want to eat spicy chicken but the doctor is not giving them permission to eat spicy food.

Food that increases cholestrol level is strictly prohibited in heart patients. If you can keep a check on your cholestrol level by good workout and strict diet, then you may have such foods occasionlly. But still I would advice you to avoid such foods.

Previously you drunk now you stop. You do not face any problem. It is psychological problems. Burning sensation comes from day only. It will repeated it is your feeling. You can keep your blood pressure in check by eating healthy with less salt and sugar, fat and junkies, more vegetables and fruits, jogging, sleeping well, avoiding tension and stress and more importantly not shying away from medicine if your bleed pressure is still high despite all these. Hi blood pressure 100/60 and above in females is absolutely normal if you do not have any dizziness or symptoms take high salt diet get your serum sodium levels checked up keep yourself hydrated drink fluids frequently do not skip meals exercise daily for 45 minutes.

I am 72 years old I am taking OLSAR 20 tab daily in the morning but I am feeling dizziness in morning and evening since last 3 weeks my BP always remain normal.

Hello Mr. lybrate-user kumar WEIGHT LOSS DIET Things to be followed 1.No salt intake after 7: 30 am 2.No aerated drinks. Even Liquor too. 3.Restrict mango and banana. 4.Restrict potato and rice. 5.No artificial juices. 6.Half an hour aerobic exercise daily. Joining a gym for workout will be a better option. 7.20 mins of breathing exercise (pranayam). 8.Avoid Rajmah, Channa, Peas, Mushroom, Gobi, Pumpkin, Leafy vegetables, Capsicum, Paneer, Cheese, Curd, Non Veg, Maida related items (like Bread, bun, pizza, burger etc), Deep fried and spicy food, Sweets, Sugar, carbohydrate rich fruits like apple, Sapota, Banana etc. 9.Avoid rice intake in the morning and strictly in the night. 10.Avoid intake of refrigerated food in the morning, prepared previous night. 11.Intake of food should be on time without skipping even a single meal. 12.Maintain min two hours of gap between dinner intake and sleep. 13.Consume minimum eight glasses of water a day. 14.“Early to bed and early to raise” should be strictly followed. Sleeping Late night should be strictly avoided. 15.Have fruits only in the noon time. Avoid fruits consumption in the night (occasionally can be taken before dinner). 16.Stop intake of milk during bed time. 17.Bathing should be before food intake only. 18.Tea, milk intake should be twice a day preferably morning and evening. Coffee intake should be strictly avoided. DIET PLAN FOR Week 1 6: 30 am (as soon as you wake up) – 2 glasses of methi seeds water (soak 1tsp of methi seeds in 2 glasses of water. Strain out the methi seeds and drink the water. Helps a lot in water retention and bloating) 7: 30 am – ginger tea/ green tea. 9: 00 am – One bowl Papaya or 200 ml Mongdal gruel with little jaggery. 11: 30 am – four cucumber slices/raw raddish 1: 30 pm – A small plate of salad before starting the meal. The fibers in the salad fills you up which in turn prevents false hunger that makes you overeat. 1dry chapati with 1 bowl of dal, with one bowl rice, rasam, 1 glass buttermilk. 5: 00 pm – 1cup of milk or tea with 2 biscuits (just marie, no other biscuits) 8: 30 pm –A small plate of salad before starting the meal. 2 or 3 dry chapati with vegetable curry or dal. When this week ends, you can see reduction in weight up to 1.8 kilos. U lose the max in this week because you lose all the water weight and the bloating as well. The further weeks you are surely going to lose weight but it won’t be this much. Week 2 6: 30 am (as soon as you wake up) – 2 glasses of tulsi leave water (soak 5 tulsi leaves in 2 glasses of water. Strain out the leaves and drink the water.) 7: 30 am – ginger tea/ green tea. 9: 00 am – 1 bowl of veg salad or Semi liquid gruel (lightly salted and flavored with pepper, Jeera, Ginger, Garlic, coriander, pudina) prepared out of broken barley. 11: 30 am – Small bowl papaya without peeling skin. 1: 30 pm – A small plate of salad before starting the meal. 1dry chappati with 1 bowl of dal, with one bowl rice, rasam, 1 glass buttermilk. Or Only 3 dry Chappatis with veg curry and 1 glass buttermilk. 5: 00 pm – 1cup of Coffee/milk/ tea with 2 marie biscuits only. 8: 30 pm –A small plate of salad before starting the meal. 2 or 3 dry chappati with vegetable curry or dal, 1 cup ginger flavored buttermilk. This week you can lose up to 0.9 kgs Week 3 6: 30 am – 10 ml of Karela, amla juice with 1 glass of luke warm water. 7: 30 am – ginger tea/ green tea. 9: 00 am – salted and flavoured Green gram gruel or Rava gruel semi liquid consistency 200 ml. 11: 30 am – four cucumber slices. 1: 30 pm –one bowl allowed veg or fruit salad, 2 chappati and vegetable dal. 5: 00 pm – 1cup of milk/ ginger tea, green tea or 1bowl popcorn (air popped popcorns without the butter) 8: 30 pm –1 bowl broken wheat with rasam or dal, 1 cup buttermilk. Week 4 6: 30 am – Triphala ras 10 ml with 1 glass warm water. 7: 30 am – ginger tea/ green tea. 9: 00 am – 1 glass Broken wheat gruel 11: 30 am – one bowl veg salad. 1: 30 pm – 1 bowl broken wheat with rasam, 1 cup buttermilk. 5: 00 pm – 1cup of milk/ ginger tea/ green tea 8: 30 pm – 2 dry chappati with 1 bowl vegetable or Dalia kichdi, and 1 cup buttermilk. By the end of the month you will definitely be losing 2-4 kgs Repeat the same diet for 4 months.

Meditation. Yoga. Exercise. Salt less than 2g/ day. Blood lipids -- take statins if high. Avoid junk food. Plenty of vegetables and fruit. Take medicines regularly. Keep in touch with your doctor and you will be fine.
