Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front.

I have back pain for last 1 year doctor so what we do please help me but they pain some times only come.

Backache is the commonest ailment. Do not worry, rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. Take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. Do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do reply back for private consultation and detailed treatment plan.

If the cause of back pain persists, you should not restart. Causes could be muscular fatigue, spondylitis, trauma, disc problem etc. Pl rule these out by visiting ortho specialist. If no problem, pl apply muscle relaxants and orally take herbs n minerals to strengthen Asthi and Maansa Dhatu i.e. none and muscle. Pl consult privately for medicine part.

Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Yes you can play normally but before that you need proper rest for a month following proper physiotherapy you need at least 8-12 weeks of recovery time before playing.

Tips to Prevent Back Pain While Doing Housework

HOUSEWORK VACUUMING

THE LUNGE:

Adopt a step position and posture as in the sport of fencing, with one leg stepping out in front .this way you can easily shift forward and back in various directions. As you step forward, you can reach forward with your vacuuming hand. Keep your pelvic 'bowl' level. Put your other hand on your hip or thigh to take weight off the low back and help you stay up. Attempt to change vacuuming hands every once in a while.

KNEELING AND HALF-KNEELING

These methods lower your center of gravity and automatically take some of the bends out of activity. Try the as alternative positions for a few minutes. They are really comfortable.

DUSTING AND POLISHING

Attempt kneeling or half kneeling when working on low surfaces. Prop your inactive arm on yourself or on the furniture to take more weight through your arms and less through your spine.

DOING THE LAUNDRY

Avoid overloading the basket. Avoid slumped or overarched alignment when lifting, loading, and carrying. Load with one hand while taking weight through the other. Use exaggerated good alignment when lifting and carrying.

DOING THE DISHES,

IRONING

CLEANING WINDOWS

These tasks are similar to each other in that they involve sustained standing in a slightly forward- bend position. Place one foot up on a box or chair or inside the cabinet under the sink to help level your pelvic bowl ; and/or tense the muscles of your buttocks and lower abdomen to maintain your pelvis stable, level, and firmly up against the counter. For one-handed tasks, prop through your 'resting' arm to take weight off the spine

MAKING THE BED

AVOID SLUMPING OR ARCHING OUT OVER THE BED.

Lean up against the bed and bear weight through one arm when reaching

TRY SMOOTHING OUT THE SHEET AND TUCKING:

The corners while kneeling on a pillow. This makes the job much easier.

I suffer from body ache, after minor work, pains persist. Legs always have pain.
What is the severity of pain? is the pain continous or intermittent? is it pulsating? since pain is a complex phenomenon, there are many treatment options medications, therapies, and mind-body techniques. Apart from pain killers, there is evidence that certain dietary supplements and vitamins can help with certain types of pain. Fish oil is often used to reduce pain associated with swelling. A therapeutic diet complemented with few medications for pain management can also work wonders. Do reply back for medication prescriptions. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana? lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

It's impingement syndrome and scapular dyskinesia. You need to strengthen your rotator cuff muscles and scapular stabilisation exercises.

There are muscle relaxant oils in Ayurveda like Mahavishgarbh oil, which should be massaged by warming it and doing hot fomentation at pain site thereafter. However I would advise you to take oral vatnashak medicines for some time such as 'Ten roots and guggul based medicines. This is not pain killers but will address the problem in few weeks time generally. Pl also inform if there's any burning micturition or shooting pain on left side of back. Pl drink max warm water. If you agree to take further advise, pl furnish the info and consult.

Long sitting is your problem tk break between work and a soft pillow to back support sit straight maintain your posture do spine stretching exercise and heat fermentation twice a day.

Sir, i am suffering from joint. Pains swelling, stiffness(fingers, palm, knees and foot) since after chigungunya, at present I am taking treatment from orthopedic Dr. Aravindam from rajahmundry, he suggested tab. Sazo-500 mg, sorez along with some multivitamin tables( since one month) but no response, my uric acid is 5. 8 mg/dil. Every thing is alright, you suggest me better treatment for relief . Regards

Joint pains and swelling persist for about 1-2 years post viral infections like chikunguniya. There is no specific medicine for it. So rely more on exercises to prevent joint stiffness. Good news is it is self-remitting and will cure itself.

Nothing, it is due to over activity, stop running for 3 days, walk only, then start running thrice a week, then 4 times, then 6 times. Duration should not more than 15 minutes.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Just try to reduce your weight by 5 Kgs and start eating a calcium and vitamin-D rich diet regularily. Sources of Vitamin D: 1. Vegetables: Sweet potato(Shakkar Kandi). One may take 'Cod liver oil' capsules or Vit-D supplements. 2. Food: Fish, Milk, Soyabean Powder, Yogurt(Dahi), Butter, Egg yolk(yellow portion of egg) and direct sunlight. Sources of Calcium: 1.
