Every morning when I wake up, my back ribs hurt. After waking the ache subsides. What could be the reason?

Backache is the commonest ailment. Do not worry, rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. Take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. Do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do reply back for private consultation and detailed treatment plan.

Hi, first let me know the type of pain like is it radiating from back to lower leg is there any back pain, if it's radiating it might be nerve compression in back for that try to streatch hamstring muscle by letting one leg straight down and lifting other one straight up as much as you can and lower back strengthning exercises. For cramp you can try electrolyte solution because cramps occur mainy of times due to ion imbalance. Do let me know if you need any further help.

1. Start with Physiotherapy treatment. 2. Learn knee exercises. 3. Don't sit on floor. 4. Wear sports shoes. 5. Apply volini cream before sleeping. 6. Do Hot fermentation twice a day. 7. Wear knee cap. 8. Talk calcium, vitamin D 3, Omega 3 and Glucosamine supplement for one month minimum.

As I am going for running since a week I was getting bone pain for legs, how can I get relief from that pain?

As I am going for running since a week I was getting bone pain for legs, how can I get relief from that pain?
I would advice you to take an ultrasound therapy physio session for your legs. You may be having a condition called as shin splints which is very common in atheletes. You could aslo do a hot and cold fermentation for your legs at the site of pain and you will get relieved from that pain. Please wear proper fitting shoes so that you get good support while running.

My back is paining from a long time if I take rest then it will ok othrler wise it will give pain.

Hi initially take following precautions 1) stop normal physical activity for couple of days. 2) apply hot fermentation 3) do not do activities that involves heavy lifting or twisting of your back for few days 4) after 2 to 3 weeks, slowly begin to exercise 5) avoid wearing high heals and lifting heavy bags. I have difficulty in walking. Calf pain, low backacts and foot drop. My reports says my (EHL is weak) DTR=Absent and according to MRI reports -FACET joint arthrosis is seen at L4-5 and L5-S1 with evidence of laminectomy. Non enhancing cystic lesion measuring at T12-4 level kinking of comes and splaying of nerve roots. L3-4 causing indentation of thread sad and narrowing of respective neural foramina.

Hello lybrate-user, Thank you for contacting me. You need some strengthening exercises for weakness of EHL. Physiotherapy is must after Laminectomy. Range of motion exercises and some customized exercises will ease your walk. I hope this will help you.

You will have to elaborate your problem as to a detailed discussion of your neck pain which means duration of pain and mode of onset. I would also like to ask you if it is associated with any radiating upper limb pain or any other neurological symptoms like numbness, paraesthesias (electrical shock like abnormal sensations) or any weakness in limbs. Please also tell me about any associated symptoms like fever, weight loss etc. What medications you generally take and what has been your treatment history till now for existing problem. Kindly send me what investigations like x rays etc have you done, what doctors prescription you have so that I can understand what has been done for you till now and prescribe accordingly. I would like to examine the patient in detail & investigate. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid, vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful. Use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomentation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Bio d3 max 1 tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that the patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that patient is going to take. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it does not give relief in 4-5 days. Please inform.

I am a 57 yrs old guy, having back ache since last 10 - 12 yrs. It hurts at the middle of the back (L3- L4) Even for sitting more than 15 mins. I get severe pain at the back. Also while doing morning walk, after walking for 15 mins. I get sciatica pain in the right leg. This pain goes immediately after doing stretching and bending. Again I can walk for another 15 mins. Most probably you are suffering from oa of knee. Knee surgery-total knee replacement (tkr) is quite safe & gives uniformly good results, in our hands. We have well equipped center in delhi. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Surgery should be done when patient is still active & will be able to take benefit of surgery. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem. Kindly show me x- rays before a final decision can be taken. You will be thoroughly investigated before surgery is under taken. Risk in surgery is less than the risk in crossing road.

Show her some fancy walking aids Tell her the pros & cons of her condition, what will be the drwabacks if she will not start using walking aid, her walking pattern might get worse, there could be a chance of frequent falls. So by using walking stick falls can be prevented.

Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicine rhus tox 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week and update. *take rest or move about once in 1-2 hours in case of working in a constant position. *maintain a good posture while reading or working with computers. *take a high fibre content diet like vegetables, fruits, etc.

Dear lybrater. For pcos you need to stop eating all frieditems and bakery products. No biscuits. No sugary drinks like bottled drinks. No tropicana. No frooty etc. No cakes. Walk for 45 min covering 4 km daily your periods should be ok.

Leg exercise kijiye I hope you will fit and fine…………………………………….Resistance Band Hamstring Curls Begin this leg exercise lying on your front with a resistance band tied around your ankle. Slowly bend your knee tightening the muscles at the back of your thigh (hamstrings). Then slowly return to the starting position maintaining good control throughout the exercise. Perform 1 - 3 sets of 10 repetitions on each leg provided the exercise is pain free.

Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.

. Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart..
