My ovaries are quite well and tubes are open. But still follicles not growing even with injections. What to do?

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology, FCPS, DGO, Diploma of the Faculty of Family Planning (DFFP)

Open tubes have no relationship to growth of follicle though both are important for pregnancy. Only gynaecologist or infertility specialist treating you can decide what is next step.

If your husband does not have thalassemia trait and you are only a carrier your child will not be affected from the disease. He has a 1 in 4 chance of being a carrier like you.

Had antibiotics but after one month or so the pain is back again. What could be the possible reason for the pain. As I am trying for baby. I am worried this may not create problems in my pregnancy. Pls advice.

As you asked about your problems related to your pecos and pain related to your periods. It means you have irregular periods due to some harmonic imbalances and inflammation of uterus because of getting all unfavourable dietary regimen and daily behaviours as well as using unhealthy junks. I would like to advise you to follow regular daily routines of getting all dietary measures and daily behaviours as well as exercise and yoga and morning walk every day. Use light diets and soups of carrots and beetroots and green vegetables and moong daal soups fried with cumin seeds and ghee and garlic. Avoid oily or junk food and dahi or sour products e. G. Oil massage all over body if you like otherwise have lover abdomen and below the naval over your uterus gently every day followed by heat treatment with hot water bag or heating pad for 10-15 minutes. 5 Reasons Why Homeopathy Should be a Preferred Choice of Treatment

5 Reasons Why Homeopathy Should be a Preferred Choice of Treatment

An estimate suggests that about 30% of the Indian population relies solely on the homeopathic treatment for their medical complications. People have witnessed incredible results with homeopathy. The best part of homeopathy is that there are no side effects associated with it, which makes it a much safer form of treatment.

Here are 5 reasons to switch to homeopathic medicine:

  1. There are no side effects: Homeopathic medicines are made from natural substances and so they are non-toxic and free from side effects. They are given to the patient in small doses and so, the healing approach is gentle and gradual. They can also be used by people of all ages and even those in delicate conditions like pregnancy, chronic diseases etc. Even if the wrong medicine is prescribed to the patient, it does not cause much harm to the body.
  2. The remedies are non-invasive: No homeopathic remedy involves surgical procedures or invasive techniques. So, there is absolutely no chance of infection or further complication. The medicines and therapies are also aimed at eliminating the root cause of the disorder instead of just providing temporary relief from the symptoms.
  3. It is an individualized form of treatment: A homeopathic practitioner evaluates the patient's overall health and discusses his problems and expectations before prescribing treatment. All the homeopathic remedies are made with the individual's specific climatic conditions, allergies, stress factors, food habits and lifestyle in mind. Homeopathy also optimizes the immune system and it is equally effective for physical and psychological disorders.
  4. Homeopathic medicines are easily accessible: Homeopathic remedies are available in most places as they are made directly from the abundant natural resources. There are also several alternatives to a medicine depending on the kind of plants and minerals found in a particular region. Moreover, the medicines do not have an expiration date and can be stored for a long period of time, if kept properly.
  5. Homeopathic medicines are not addictive: Once the disease is healed, the person can easily stop using the medicines since they have no addictive property. This is because the active ingredient is used in minute quantity in homeopathic medication. Hence, these remedies are also safe for infants, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, aged people and people with addiction problems.

Hello Dear,Periods occur when the egg formed during each menstrual cycle in the female body is not fertilized and hence ejected out of the reproductive system along with blood and several other tissue cells. The duration of each menstrual cycle is about 28 days Most women will experience their monthly period right from the time they are 13 to the time they are 50. For many women, their monthly period is nothing more than an annoyance; but other women may suffer some problems. Visit us at www.Malhotraayurveda.Com

My mother had breast cancer and her left breast was removed due to this. What are the chances that I may have the same problem. I am 48 years old.

hi. thats a very good question. see if first degree relative had breast cancer then your risk increases by 10 to 15 times. so do regular breast self examination and get a mammography done if you are above 40 yrs. Do not ignore symptoms like breast lump, irregular menstrual cycles , unprecedented wt loss or loss of appetite.

Hi. I am a software engineer. Am 30 years old and 3 years since got married. I am having pcod and thyroid. I have undergone ovarian drilling last month. What is the chance of me me getting conceived naturally? Any diet recommendations? Or dos and do nots?

DNB (Obstetrics and Gynecology), FICOG, MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology, MBBS

Within 1 year of ovarian drilling there are pretty good chances of spontaneous conception. But you can trigger this process and go for follicular monitoring and ovulation induction under specialist guidance.

Her periods are delayed by 2 days, we have had sex on 13 Feb, 2016 but I have used protection (condom). She is a nice fit girl. We don't want any child right now. What could be the reasons? We both are worried. Suggest something as soon as possible.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
Urine pregnancy test should be done only after 7 days of missed period. As you had sex with protection, there is no reason to worry. February had 2 days less, that can explain the delayed periods. If they delay by total 7 days then only pregnancy test to be done at home.

I am 24 years old. Since last 9 months I have been having scanty periods. Light red bleeding lasting only 3 days . My normal period would last 5 days with proper bleeding. I took ayurvedic medicine for 3 months and for 3 months my periods were fine. But again as soon as I stopped the medicine they started becoming scanty. In Aug 2015 I had a scan that showed polycystic appearing ovaries I haven't taken any tests or treatment for it. I will definitely go to a gynecologist now and get required tests done. As off now. I am worried about this one thing. I read on the net that scanty periods is due to high prolactin which is caused by tumor in pituitary gland. Is this true? I understand a doctor can give diagnosis only after testing but Going by my symptoms does it look like tumor? I am otherwise very healthy. I am not overweight. Even though my periods are scanty I get them regularly. I don't smoke drink and my exercise includes yoga and brisk walk. Also just a week before I am about to get my periods I started breaking acne on forehead which goes away immediately after periods. Please help. Does this problem look worrisome?

MBBS, MS - Obstetrics & Gynecology, Fellowship in Infertility (IVF Specialist)
Gynaecologist, Aurangabad
Hi lybrate user your problem is more of hormonal imbalance. Please don't worry about prolactinoma if you don't have other symptoms like headache, blurring of the vision. PCOD is known for above period pattern. You should worry about fertility issue. You may need ovulation induction when planning for baby .

My wife's period got missed this month. Today morning she came across know that she is pregnant. We both don't want a baby in a current situation as we are not ready to take chances because of financial situations we are going through. How can we avoid this pregnancy? Please help me.

First you must confirm the pregnancy with a sonography and then you can have choice of medical pills or surgical mtp depending on the report. If indicated, medical pills can help with a success of 90-95%, or if you want then surgical mtp can be done.

I am a 39 year old female. I have noticed lump type formation on the sides of breast which appears and disappears automatically, please suggest medication for the same.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Hyderabad
This may happen due to hormonal changes. Homoeopathy has good treatment for your problem without adverse effects. The medicine acts internally and gradually the lump will be dissolved. Take homoeopathic medicine phytolacca 200 once daily for 10 days.
