Hello, BP, being heart threaring disorder should never be under estimated in comparison with gastric disorder, please. You can't stop hypertensive medicine without permission of her treating physician. Some time acidity influences hypertension, hence dietary regulation with antacid be monitored to check gastric disorder. Tk, care.

Dear Lybrateuser, A good source of Vit D is the Sunlight specially at the time of rising sun and next 2 hrs. If your mother manages to sit under sunlight 15-2o mins every day then it willbe helpful but it has to be a direct exposure of the skin. Vit D spplements within limits will not cause gallstones.

My pulse remains very low at times when resting or during idle period. But when I am on the treadmill or exercising it goes as high as 148 to 149. Please advise if this is normal.

Your heart speeds up to pump extra food and oxygen to the muscles. Breathing speeds up to get more oxygen and to get rid of more carbon dioxide. When a fit person, such as an athlete, exercises the pulse rate, breathing rate and lactic acid levels rise much less than they do in an unfit person. Usually pulse at exercise of a 45- 46 years aged person may be normal upto 108 to 144 beats per minute. So it is fine with your age. If other symptoms appears like pain, exhaustion, etc then do refer to doctor. For more queries, contact us.

Whenever you do breathing in and out you will feel pain in the upper back, middle back and also the pain will radiate upwards until the shoulder and also up to the chest. You might feel chest congestion and tightness and that be due to gastric trouble. Kindly do breathing exercises which might help you to get reduced with pain in the back and shoulder. Drink hot water to reduce the gastric trouble. Kindly consult gastroenterologist if you doesn’t improve.
